Ella made a big impression on Carson the one time they met. So much so that he asks her to pose as his girlfriend so he is not forced to marry someone else for a business deal.

The relationship between Ella and Carson was well written. I liked that she was just as smart and savvy as he was. It's nice not to have another female character who needs rescuing all the time.

The story length was just right too. Enough so all the details are filled in and you get to know the characters, but not so much that the plot feels bloated.

Once again Shayla Black has delivered a great romance story! When Carson finds himself stuck having to marry a woman he is not at all interested in to save his company, he decides to hire an actress to play the part of the woman he loves. Hoping that will get him out of the commitment to marry someone he doesn't love, Carson hires Ella whom he actually does have an attraction to. While the fake relationship story line has been used in many romances, I really enjoyed the predicament that both Carson and Ella faced. This was a quick read and I definitely look forward to more in this series and more from Shayla Black.

First book in the series I've read. The characters were well developed and believable. The plot line drew the reader it. A very enjoyable read.

This was a guilty pleasure read. There was absolutely no substance or reality involved, but it was fun and quick. Almost read the entire thing in one sitting. I'll probably look at the other books in this series.

Loved it. Carson and Ella, insta attraction...months down the track, Carson contacts Ella, for unusual reasons, to see if the 'attraction' is real....it IS. Fav line: 'Oh shit. There's no stopping the freight train of this pounding satisfaction'
Emotions, insecurities, surprises, sexy times, romance too. Loved it (I said that before!!)

Ella and Carson of the charts hot couple. perfect together. a good read.

Carson Frost is a man ready to sell his freedom to someone he doesn't love to save a candy company he inherited. Ella, a woman from his is the woman hired to change the rules. True feelings are revealed from everyone, plots are made, deals are changed and honesty is a part of the decision. I'm glad Shaw came to his senses about his daughter's life but you will understand why he did what did. I enjoyed how this ends. I'll read more from Mrs. Shayla Black

It's a battle of the wills between Carson and Ella at times Carson one ups Ella, and then there are those times when Ella gets a one up on Carson, “if you wanted a rise out of me”—he drags in a deep breath and glances down to his crotch—“you’ve got it.” Carson will always give his girl what she needs, "slowly, he releases me and nods. “All right, sweetheart. Because I need you, too. But we’re talking afterward.” I really liked this book, I loved reading about Carson and Ella.
