Very interesting. The technique of casting - porcelain, metal, plastic, plaster, glass, whatever - and its relevance not only to jewelry and statuary, but also industry, education, research, archaeology, and more general topics like social commentary. 3-D printing is presented as a type of casting. Subjects run the spectrum from fine art to toilets, and everything in between. An unusual and beautifully illustrated cross-disciplinary lens for looking at human civilization Recommended.

Cast is a great compilation of art works. I like the viewpoint of authors to show casting process in the obvious decorative items and the most mundane things like plastic electric outlet covers.
The choice of works, theme all worked in harmony.

I liked this book. I am a avid crafter so I love seeing what and how others do their artistry. This was informative and we'll thought out. Definitely worth a look. Could have had a little more info about each step and been little more laymanish for some people, but I liked it personally.
