I love Jade Chandler's writing style, she's one of my auto-buy authors. I certainly wasn't disappointed with Rebel and Elle's story. It was fun, sexy, and a little bit dirty. Looking forward to reading more bail bondsman books.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

This spin-off to Chandler’s Jericho Brotherhood series brings the fun in a major way by pairing two ass-kicking bounty hunters and watching the sparks fly. Elle Jackson may not be the son her father always wished for, but she’s spent her whole life learning from him and preparing to take over the bail bonds business that’s been in their family for generations. When a health scare changes her father’s priorities, he unilaterally decides that Elle’s should change too. An insane (and deeply sexist) ultimatum and a flare of temper results in Elle having one month to come up with either $500K in cash or a husband if she wants to keep the business she loves.

Rebel, a biker with his own bail bonds company, doesn’t like to lose. When he crosses paths with Elle and she nabs the skip he’s after, she ends up on his radar. When they cross paths again, he is determined to come out on top this time, but her predicament touches a soft spot and he finds himself agreeing to help her instead. Mutual attraction leads to their professional arrangement turning personal pretty damn quick. Elle and Rebel are a great sexy pair. Sometimes opposites attract but not in this case. In this case, they’re really two sides of the same coin.

Elle, being super competent at her job, really makes this book for me. There are lots of good parts, but watching Elle actually kicking butt and making solid business decisions and leading her men is really great. I also love that Elle and Rebel are in the same business but they have different strengths and weaknesses. Elle has a ton more experience and is much better at managing people than Rebel. This being celebrated and appreciated is two thumbs up for me.

The Jericho Brotherhood series is honestly the only motorcycle club romance series in ages that I have consistently enjoyed. I think a big factor in that is how varied the heroines are. We’ve had a nurturer, a comittment-reluctant business woman, a mean-as-a-snake dominatrix, and now a kick-ass bounty hunter. They’re all great in their own way and I love each and every one.

This book is just plain FUN. There’s action, hot sex, the fighting of patriarchy, and genuine romance. I have enjoyed all of Chandler’s previous books, but I thoroughly loved this one. I would like more, please!

Kris – ☆☆☆☆
I'm three books into the Jericho Brotherhood series and enjoyed the cast of characters; this is the first in the Brotherhood Bonds series and it's Rebel and Elle.

I liked this story. Rebel was written well, with the right amount of bad boy biker and heart of gold. I liked Elle's tough as nails character also. She's a woman working in a male dominated field of bail bondsmen and she's tough and smart. Working for her father’s company her whole adult life, she assumes he's leaving Jackson Bonds to her when he retires. Elle is sorely mistaken when her father gives her ultimatums, either get married or you lose the business. Rebel is just helping a fellow bail bondsman out, besides, marriage doesn't mean anything to him or the Brotherhood. Elle wouldn't be his old lady and she's definitely not hard on the eyes or bad between the sheets. So he offers to marry Elle. Just temporary until the three months are up and she can divorce him and get her business. Turns out, Rebel wants her for his wife and more but the Brotherhood has stipulations on old ladies' businesses and Rebel couldn't do that to Elle. Things were not meant to go any further for them, he promised to let her go.

The story plays out well and I was entertained throughout. It wasn't your typical formulaic story, Elle kicked butt with every step! Even when her life was in danger, she had it covered, no "OMG, she almost died and I realize I love her now" moment. I liked Elle's total badassery! I'm up for a spin off series and I like where this is going.

Elle Jackson is a kick@ss bail bondswoman. She does everything the guys do, better, backwards in heels. She was supposed to take over the family business but now her father wants grandkids and is playing games with Elles’ future. Now she has thirty days to either tie the knot or come up with five hundred grand in bonds. Elle is determined to beat her father at his own game. His father didn’t make ridiculous demands for him to inherit.
Rebel is trying to make his bond company work. He wants his contribution to the Jericho Brotherhood Motorcycle Club to be the best. When a sexy blonde steals his bond he is angry but intrigued.
No matter how well intentioned Elle’s father is a douche. I loved that Elle didn’t take the easier route straight off. I loved that she stuck to her guns. Rebel doesn’t know what is about to hit him in the form of Elle and we get to sit back and watch the fireworks happen.
I enjoyed the book but got the feeling it is a spin-off of another series which I haven’t read. All in all this is a hell of a ride.

I am a kid in the candy store at Christmas right now. Why? Because the Jericho Brotherhood is alive and kicking butt, that's why. I was so sad to see the original series come to an end, but O. M. G., this basically continues a year out from the last of the previous series. And boy oh boy, we are in for the same type of ride in this one.

Elle is hating life right now. She's spent the majority of your life trying to prove that she is an amazing daughter, even though her father wished she was a boy. Add in the fact that she's a bounty hunter (man's job) and you can guess the tension that's in the air, right? So when Daddy declares he's selling the business instead of handing it down unless she can come up with the funds to buy it herself, you bet there's some serious drama that goes down. But that's nothing compared to the drama that happens once she meets the one and only Rebel. Master of his domain...and soon to be Elle.

Rebel (side note - if you haven't read the Jericho Brotherhood, don't worry, you'll be ok. But I HIGHLY recommend reading it so that the characters mean more to you moving forward) is the Master of Bound. Master of his domain and now the Master of the new bond company the Brotherhood is running. He's out to cash in on some serious bounties when he's literally undermined by the beautiful Elle. Add in the fact that she's basically a carbon copy of Rebel and you can bet that there's some major head butting going on. But that's not the only thing butting...if you know what I mean.

I have been in love with these Jericho Brothers for a very long time. I can't begin to express how happy I am that Rebel got his own story. And now add in that this is a new series...HOLY COW!!!! This story is jam packed with lust, drama and plenty of MC Alpha-ness that you'll be begging for more. I know I am. Bring on the next one...I can't wait!

I tried but Bail Out had no flow and the heroine was unbelievably TSTL. The premise that her Dad gave her an ultimatum to either marry or he would sell the business out from under her was thin, especially considering how close they were before his heart attack and how he is the one who taught her everything he knows in the business. That coupled with the fact that she swore she'd never forgive him if he followed through and the fact that she was taking unbelievably risky assignments on her own in order to come up with the money had me doubting the plot even more.

The absolute worst thing of all was how idiotic she was in the way she went about her business. She even drank herself silly before going undercover for a highly dangerous skip. That along with some of the things she was willing to do and did in order to catch the bad guy turned me off to the whole book and I ended up DNFing.

Bail Out by Jade Chandler
Brotherhood Bonds #1

Elle is a bounty hunter – a good one – the fourth generation in the family business. She expects to take over when her father retires. Well, as the story begins her father has suddenly set up stipulations that don’t sit well with her. So, with her name, the business and more on the line she sets out to make sure she does not lose the at the game her father has set in motion. Step into the picture Rebel – a member of the Jericho Brotherhood MC - who also runs a bond business. He first sees her while she is working to take someone in for the money…someone he planned to get the fee for. One thing leads to another and before long they are working together for a common purpose and that purpose includes helping Elle get the family business.

This book has romance, passion, heat, chemistry, biker club issues, fights, intrigue, family, friends, appearances from characters that starred in the Jericho Brotherhood series and the potential for a HEA if Rebel and Elle can communicate and figure things out. I have to say there is more than one character I would like to read the story of so am hoping this series and the Jericho Brotherhood will have many more books out in the future.

Thank you to NetGalley and Carina Press for the ARC – This is my honest review.

I really enjoyed this one! Elle was a wonderful strong female character and about the only man that could tame her would be an equally strong bad boy biker. Rebel fits that bill quite nicely. A biker in a fake marriage was an interesting plot line but the author did a great job with it. Rebel definitely brought out Elle's naughty side and it was a nice steamy read. Looking forward to more of this. I highly recommend this one.

There were far too many overlapping story lines to follow. The lead female character's struggle with her father, the bounty hunting, and the motorcycle club all together muddled the story to the point that I had to skim back a few chapters to make sure I was reading it the right way. While I don't like overly simple plot line books, this one just had too many angles to keep track of.

These bonds don’t break

ELLE

Bounty hunting is in my blood. For generations there’s been a Jackson running Jackson Bail Bonds and that tradition won’t end on my watch. But my father would much rather see a ring on my finger than a pair of cuffs in my hands, and now I have thirty days to either tie the knot or come up with five hundred grand.

Daddy doesn’t know best. Nothing’s going to stand in the way of claiming what’s mine—not even a sexy bounty-hunting biker.

REBEL

Bonds are my business. I live for the hunt, and if it makes a hefty chunk of change, all the better. The Jericho Brotherhood is the only commitment I intend to make in this life and I swore there’d never be a woman on the back of my bike…until I watched Elle Jackson take down a thug with a smile and a Taser.

When a woman like that asks for your help, you f*ing deliver.

Make sure a knockout, kick-ass woman gets her due? Sign me up. No one is ever going to mistake me for one of the good guys, but for this job, I’m just the man Elle needs.

My Thoughts

The initial trilogy based on the Jericho Brotherhood by then a new-to-me author introduced this world of violence, strong men and women, passion, lust, action and romantic pairings that I became addicted to so when it ended glad to find this spin-off that starts a new trilogy set in the same world.

Bail bonding is apparently on the same par as repo-work, down and dirty upon occasion. At least the contracts Elle and Rebel take on seem to be as they track down the men and women who flee justice for the money offered for their capture.

With Bail Out readers are taken deeper into the world of The Jericho Brotherhood MC , also learning more about their allies as well as their enemies.

Like any good story Bail Out embraces change while it also highlights the value of cooperation even while competing in the same business as Elle and Rebel are doing.

Delving deeper into key MC members while also introducing new characters this book is filled with action, romance, violence and fills in some gaps that were left when the initial trilogy ended.

The author is looking for an honest review.

Oh how much I loved this story. Everything about it was right on. You were start this book with no expectations but then all you have are expectations for Rebel and Elle. Its in a good way too. How these two are thrown together is fun and serious all at once. Elle is a bounty hunter. She is looking for everyone that skips bail. Her family has been in this business for years and she know that is all she wants to do. She lives and breathes it, so when her dad puts an ultimatum on the table she is ready to kill someone. Her dad doesn't want Elle living and breathing it. He wants her to have a life, so the choice. Force her out. e and needs a big kill. She calls up her friend and give her a 48 hour lead on one that keeps slipping out of everyone's hand. Lets just say she finds him and things don't go as planned. She either has to get 500k in bonds or marry someone. Elle is fuming and says she will get the money. The problem is, she doesn't have time. Elle is just awesome. She is a woman that can protect herself and she knows what she wants. Now all she has to do is come up with the money. Rebel is a bondsman too. He is after a mark at a bar that doesn't do anything fro him. When a blonde walks in he gets distracted. She really doesn't give him the time of day and just lets it be, he has a job to do. The funny things is minutes later she is walking out with his mark. He is flabbergasted. Who is she? When he calls up an old friend he learns who she is. Now with his pride hurt and needing a next mark, things get a little tangled up in his world. Elle has come very close to her time is almost up. One more bond and she will only need a little more. A friend is going to give her a 48 hour lead on a case. If she does that, well she will have it in the bag. The problem is that is goes hay wire and Rebel is there to help her. She want to trust him, so she goes with a plan so she can get this guy. When things get heated with her and Rebel a personal things are at stake, well that is when the the tension starts. Feelings start to get involved and Elle knows that she isn't going to make the deadline, so what do you do?

I so want to tell you the juicy details of this book, but I am going to hold off, because this a read that you have to dive into. Elle is this strong independent woman that doesn't want help, but finds a man that could change that. She just doesn't want to change who she is. Rebel has never had a serious relationship and he is the one that could change everything with Elle. The only problem is there are conditions with being with Rebel and he doesn't want her because of them. He knows he can't have her forever and he has to keep distance, but what if he wants forever with her. What if forever is what both of them need. There is a lot of drama, heat and a lot of s$x, and we are not just talking about the pg s$x. It going to get hot and sticky and this book in more ways than one.

I really loved this book and loved Rebel and Elle. There is just a few things that held me back from giving it a 5 stars, but that is on me. I was just looking for something. I hope that this story continues or at least with these groups of characters, I would love to know more about all of them.

*2.5 stars.

Bail Out by Jade Chandler is book one in her Brotherhood Bonds series which is a spin-off of her Jericho Brotherhood series. I was really excited to read about a female bounty hunter. Unfortunately, I struggled to finish this one.

Hunting satisfied me in a way nothing had since I joined the Brotherhood.

Elle's a bounty hunter for her father's company, and she's trained to take over the business. Her father, however, has other plans. He wants grandchildren, and he's determined to get them. Even if it means making a deal with his daughter that she can't hope to meet.

Rebel is trying to make a name for himself in the bonds business, but his competition is taking his game. Before he knows it, Rebel's in over his head with a female bounty hunter who may just be his match. But Rebel isn't looking for love...

The female bounty hunter aspect initially peaked my interest. I wanted to see a woman on top in this blue-collar field, kicking butt and taking names to bring these criminals in. The first half exceeded my expectations. I loved Elle's determination, and she really gets blindsided by her father. Imagine training all of your life, competing with men day-in and day-out to make a name for yourself, only to potentially lose it all. She needs to do the impossible to have a chance at keeping her business.

So far so good.

I enjoyed Rebel too. Rebel's found acceptance in the MC brotherhood, and he doesn't want to let them down. He needs his bond business to take off. The wind is knocked out of him by bombshell, Elle. Watching these two work together was great. Rebel's a good guy hero biker, but still has that commanding presence. (Total catnip!)

The MC part was really well done too. I have a love/hate relationship with MC stories, but I like how the brotherhood is legitimate (no gun running, drug dealing, etc.). It's a refreshing take, and it sets this book apart.

The last half, however, everything fell apart on me. There's less focus on the bounty hunting aspect that I loved. It would have been okay if the story moved forward at all. Instead, the scenes became repetitive.

Some odd elements come out of left field too. I like how Elle steps out of her comfort zone (boy, howdy!), but a few times something she did--and suggested!--had me scratching my head. I didn't understand the point of it all. It just felt thrown in there for an added scene.

This is also when another element with Rebel comes into play--a not-quite BDSM element. It left me completely flabbergasted on what it even means or how it's essential to the story. It changed nothing.

I think that's what bothers me the most. The characters lost a little of their spark to fit into this mold or new role they're given. It felt forced, and it added nothing to the overall book but take away from the couple's chemistry (or to have more bounty hunting fun!).

If you like alpha bikers, Rebel definitely commands the page. Elle's also a tough cookie. I just couldn't find the same enthusiasm for the characters in the last half that I did in the beginning.

Elle has been trying to compensate for being a girl her whole life. Her father is planning on retiring and Elle knows that she can do a great job in charge of the family business -Jackson Bail Bonds. Jackson Bail Bonds has been in the Jackson family for 150 years so it's natural to believe that he will hand it down to one of the best bounty hunters in the business, Elle. Unfortunately he has other plans and that's when Elle meets Rebel, a biker who also runs a bail bond business. Rebel loves the MC life and has no intention to get involved long term but there is just something about Elle. Red hot romance, second chances, a feisty bounty hunter, and a bad ass biker combine to make this a great read!

Jade Chandler did an absolutely wonderful job on this book. The story caught my attention right at the beginning and had me captivated until the end.

I loved Elle and Rebel. Elle was a fantastic character who didn't quit for nothing. She was tough female who would do anything to save her family company even if it meant getting down and dirty with a bad boy biker. I was rooting for her the entire story. Rebel was Elle's perfect match in every way. That's why he was so drawn to Elle because they both loved the thrill of chasing down bad guys. He was secure with his own strengths and accepted that his woman could take care of business. They both loved hunting bounties and Elle fit in perfectly with Rebel's biker family.

I really loved this book. The plot was exciting and smoking hot. The action was fast paced and thrilling for me since Elle was such a bad ass. I think that was my favorite part. I have to say that this entire series has been fabulous so far and made me a die hard Jade Chandler fan. So if you're looking for an MC Romance then I enthusiastically recommend this one.
