A book based on a famous internet meme. Goofy, lighthearted and humourous. One to read when you need a bit of laughter in your life.

'Be Like Bill' by Eugeniu Croitoru and Debabrata Nath is a book of supposedly funny panels based on the hot internet meme from a couple years ago.

Bill and his friend Bella are stick figures that dispense common sense wisdom for an internet age. They offer ways for the reader to not be an annoying person by posting lots of selfies, or posting lots online when you are supposed to be sick. These all seem common sense, but are sadly funny because we've all seen the kind of behavior that this book makes fun of.

The art is pretty basic, as was the internet phenomenon. All my friends were seemingly doing the Be Like Bill thing. I don't think it's run it's course. I just found it to be a joke that is funny in small doses and not in a book form like this.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

This is Bill.

In small doses, he is funny.

In book size does, Bill is a sanctimonious stick figure.

Bill is an annoying braggart.

Do not be like Bill.

I received an ARC from Netgalley for review. I was excited because I had loved the original Bill memes. But as I read through the book, I realized that it wasn't Bill that was so funny; it was what everyone else was doing with Bill. Fans were personalizing Bill for fandoms, occupations and life styles. Those were hilarious. But by page twenty of Be Like Bill, I realized that Bill was just annoyed by EVERYTHING and the memes were going against everything Bill stood for. Maybe that's the meta side of the project I was missing.

The book is funny, simple, intelligent and sharp.. This is a quick read based on the internet sensation - Be Like Bill... Most of us should actually "Be Like Bill"... The world needs more people like Bill...

Bill was an internet meme created in late 2015, and was quite a big hit. As internet memes can be. It's funny what can become popular online in no time at all. Such a simple concept caught on like wild fire.

I can't remember the last time I saw a Be Like Bill meme online. The ones that still exist are certainly amusing, but they're dated. They were dated in mid 2016, and we are nearly at the end of 2017.

Dear meme creators: if your creation becomes a smash sensation, publish your book IMMEDIATELY. Fame is fleeting.

Don't be like Bill.

A very quick read. A book of memes of the stick figure that took the internet by storm in 2016. Funny!

Be like Bill was the biggest internet sensation of 2016. So they decided to make it into a small book and bring what they think is the best and funniest memes together.

The book contains about 100 panels. Bill is a stickman and Bill teaches us lots of lessons on how to be like him. I found this book to be both funny and annoying but I did laugh out loud at a few of them. A very quick read.

I would like to thank NetGalley, Andrews McMeel Publishing and the authors Eugeniu Croitoru and Debabrata Nath for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.

4 Be like Bill Stars
This is a collection of Bill and his normal every day things that tell you to be a better human and makes fun of all the sterotypes out there . This would make an epic coffee or bathroom book because its simple there isn’t a story line just every page of comedy.

This is Bill,
Bill has a girlfriend
Bill also has a smartphone .
He gives more time to his girlfriend than his smartphone.

Bill is caring

Be like Bill

Bill is everyone we are .. and shames everyone who isn’t us. Every pic is hilarious. Its all those little things in life that annoy you and really grind your gears. Presented as hilarious stick figure Bill.

So go out and enjoy your day .. but always be like Bill!

This book is exactly my kind of humour! 'Be Like Bill' is a book full of Bill the stick man and the things he does and doesn't do in order to not annoy everyone else around him. Bill teaches lots of lessons, such as how to be considerate of others and how to be a good friend, but all done in a very dry and funny way. One of my favourites being: "This is Bill. Bill just woke up. Bill took a selfie. Bill doesn't post it on Facebook writing, 'I'm so ugly today'. If he really felt like that, he wouldn't have posted it. Bill doesn't need anyone to tell him he's handsome. Be like Bill".

This would make a great coffee table book or a Christmas stocking filler for anyone with a similar dry sense of humour. All of the things that Bill speaks about are things that have irked me at some time or another, so this really did make me chuckle. I hope there'll be more from Bill in future!

"Be Like Bill", as anyone with a Facebook account already knows, was one of the biggest memes to hit in 2016. I wish I remember what mine said at the time, but it has fallen out of memory, as, sadly, has "Be Like Bill". Entertaining in the moment, but soon forgotten, BE LIKE BILL is a collection of the memes created at the time. I laughed out loud at several, but if you asked me ten minutes later which were my favorites, I honestly couldn't tell you.

Bill read this book. Be like Bill. Bill is smart. Or Jill, his girlfriend, who is equally smart.

This is an unnecessary book. If you do any time of social media, then you have seen the Be Like Bill posts. While they are funny at the time they pop on your feeds, and entire book of Be Like Bob memes is a lot much. It gets boring and redundant. Save your money and check out the facebook page.

As a girl who likes memes and funny internet photos, I of course like "Be Like Bill."
It's funny and points out the many ridiculous and annoying things that humans do in every day life and pokes fun at people for it.
However, I don't think it needed to be made into a book.
I did enjoy though.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book Via NetGalley.

I think this was one of those times where it was just too much of a good thing. Having the lines "This is Bob" and "Be like Bob" or a variation of that on every page made me want to stop reading. It seems like there were also a few that seemed to be the same thing, just with a little change. I would have preferred to have some more writing in the book besides the little sayings.

A funny, short book based on Be Like Bill. I read this in just a couple of hours. If you are looking for a longer graphic novel or entertainment book, this is not the book for you. If you're looking for a light and humorous book that you can read in an afternoon, this is a great option . Also great to have out as a coffee table book for guests to peruse. Would highly recommend if you are a BLB fan!

Exactly as shown: a compilation of the memes that have made this Bill character an internet sensation. Nothing more, nothing less, but still entertaining.

Maybe you've seen Bill on the internet. Bill is a stick figure, popular on Facebook. He meme messages implore you to be like him. He conveys simple messages: life lessons, etiquette, online rules, relationship advice. His creators, Eugeniu Criotoru and Debabrata Nath, have gathered some of Bill's (and his friend Bella's) best bits for the appropriately titled book Be Like Bill.

Bill is smart, he is not a douche, he is not immature, he is respectful of others, he has manners, he is polite, he is friendly. Bill isn't an attention seeker, a show-off, or a whining moron. If all of us were like Bill, the world would be a better place.

Be Like Bill is good for some laughs. You will probably read this and think of lots of people who are not like Bill. But I have a feeling that as much as you think you are like Bill, you will have to admit that you are not always like Bill. Read Be Like Bill and be more like Bill.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the complimentary electronic review copy!

I quite liked this book. Some very funny anecdotes. It's what I class as a light pick up put down book that is easy to flick through.
