Loved this collection of quotes and the way the book was set up into specific chapters to match each type. I think this would be a great gift to give and receive. I'm always looking to share quotes on social media and this has a wide variety from famous people in history. Thanks to NetGalley for the copy of this book for the purpose of this review. Five stars!

This is an uplifting book with 100+ quotes along with a brief bio of the person who said it. I got to know a lot of inspiring women. The graphics in the background of the quotes are cute and sure to perk you up.

From Isabel Allende to Maya Angelou, Lucille Ball to Nellie Bly, Joyce Brothers to Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Coco Chanel to Julia Child, Hillary Rodham Clinton to Emily Dickinson, Amelia Earhart to Ella Fitzgerald, Melinda Gates to Temple Grandin, Audrey Hepburn to Zora Neale Hurston, Helen Keller to Billie Jean King, Michelle Obama to Georgia O’Keefe, Rosa Parks to Emily Post, Eleanor Roosevelt to J.K. Rowling, Mary Shelly to Gloria Steinham, Harriet Tubman to Mae West, Laura Ingalls Wilder to Oprah Winfrey… these are some of the women quoted.

This is a book about the “Power of a Few Short Words,” and although they may not be “our own” words, they sometimes fill that spot where either we have no words or we need others to put into words that which our minds have yet to fully grasped. Sometimes, some of these precede our early years, and they seem synonymous with how we feel, so ingrained are they in our hearts and mind.

This would make a lovely gift for anyone, really, or a lovely guest room addition, but I had in mind someone young enough that the majority of these quotes would likely be seen for the first time.

Each quote is on its own page, the colour scheme is very fresh and light, the first page a pale pink with a design silver dots forming a wave-like pattern. Something I could easily see used in a classroom or a room for a pre-teen or young teen. None are frilly or overly feminine, and while all of the quoteurs are women, few of the quotes are gender specific, although this book is targeted for a female audience. There are 21 different categories for the quotes such as She Believe, She Builds, She Champions, She Coaches, She Competes… and so on.

“Beautifully Said: Quotes by remarkable women and girls, designed to make you think” is what the title is on my copy, Quotabelle’s first book, which owes it’s beginnings to a crowdfunding campaign, and the women who run this female-powered company.

This is a beautifully laid out book with a calming and powerful colour scheme of pale sky blue and sunny golden yellow font on the cover as well as inside pages having pretty background effects too along with black typeset font too. Pages throughout are filled with quotes from powerful women throughout history all ready to inspire a new generation.

Emma Watson and Rosa Parks along with sports woman and fashion designers whom we all mostly know of were the key people whom stood out to me when reading through the twenty one inspiring chapters.

This is a great book to remind you of how much we can achieve and keep your spirits up high!

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!
