A perfect story of young summer love and a second chance romance. It was cute and well written. Immersive and entertaining.

Sierra Hill is hitting up all of my weaknesses with this series - now we have a second chance romance featuring high-school (ish) sweethearts that reconnect YEARS later. This one hit close to home for me and that made it some much more intense and emotional and I'm not mad about it! I really enjoyed that dual POV and the flashbacks that allowed us to get a well-rounded view of the couple while still maintaining some mystery about what led them to where they are in the present. Although I had an idea what the big pivotal "event" was, because of the way the story is written it still hit me in all the feels. I also appreciated getting to understand why Carter is the way that is when we initially meet him in Sweetness. Sweet Summer Love packs an emotional punch and kept me riveting from the first page through to the fantastic epilogue. 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

This was my first book by Sierra Hill, and it most definitely will not be my last. I was hooked on this story immediately, and I sped through this in one sitting.

Told with some flashbacks to their past, but mostly in the present, the story of Logan and Carver unfolds. And boy what a story. At about 26% there is a huge revelation I totally did not see coming. Once Logan and Carver talk about their past, which happens quite nicely before the first half of the book is over, the focus is on the present and what type of relationship they can have, if at all, now.

I enjoyed the fact that there was a low amount of angst in this, and the characters actually communicated well for the most part.

I liked both main characters and I was rooting for them to get their HEA. This was a little bit of an emotional rollercoaster and I was hanging on every word. My only real complaint is that there was not a real lot of closure for me as a reader in terms of Jeremy. I definitely would have liked a bit more there.

I truly loved this book thought, and I cannot wait to read more from this author in future.

I don't usually read new adult books, as I like my characters to be closer to my age (30's). However, I love Sierra Hill's other books, so I took a chance on this one. And I LOVED Sweet Summer Love. The second chance romance trope is one of my favorites, and this one certainly didn't disappoint. There were a couple of twists cleverly woven into the plot that I didn't see coming and really appreciated. I liked the characters and felt Logan was independent and strong, despite her upbringing. Carver was similar but for different reasons, which made them fit together perfectly. They story was well-written and flowed easily. I couldn't put it down and read cover to cover in just a few hours. I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a NA romance, a second chance romance, or just a good solid story with characters you can relate to that feel like friends or the couple next door.

Sweet summer love is second chance romance. Logan and Carver meet as teenagers in summer camp and are each other first love. But everything changes when Logan is 17 years old. So years later they path cross again and they are both bitter and are not living the life to its fullest. But jet again they start seeing each other and after finding the truth they can reunite. Logan is still afraid to be left behind but, Carver proves that he is ready to fight for her. Interesting story in which author combines present and the past. WHat I didn't like was the jung Carver and Logan they were acting and thinking like adults like they were not different in the past. Carver is still a little bit childish in his grown up age. Logan, I don't know I didn't fell in love with her characters she was ok.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Carver and Logan were summer camp sweethearts. They made a pact that what happened during the summer only happened in the summer and both chose not to contact the other throughout the rest of the year. However, when circumstances changed Logan was stuck with some tough decisions to make on her own.

Years later, Logan and Carver reconnect and their love continued to blossom as if they never were apart.

This was a sad, but great read. I loved the connection the characters had and it was nice they were finally able to get the HEA.

Sweet Summer Love was like reading a soap opera that was solely focused on two characters plot. This was a good book, and a nice summer read. It made me feel nostalgic for how my relationship with my husband was like over 10 years ago when we started dating. The memories of how young we were and how much fun we had as kids. That was one of the main things that I got to take away from the book and I appreciate that.

I say that this book was like a soap opera because it didn't feel super realistic. It was an entertaining read do not get me wrong, but it felt like there was a disconnect. Like oh gasp .... and everything was fine. Granted I did drop a tear, at one part. There wasn't much internal monolog that led you to think there was any TRUE struggle for the character. What struggles they did have was just a brief emotion that their passions took over. And believe me when I say these characters have some passion.

Who knows maybe that's what was intended. There wasn't any dragging out for months like a real soap opera, which thank god for that. This was a fast paced read that I think I finished in a day.

The one thing that I enjoyed the most and it contributed to my personal nostalgia, what how the author wrote who sections in the past. They weren't always written as a memory, it was like reading it as it was happening. This made the feeling come across true and real. In my opinion, these past parts were the best parts of the book. It made ME feel a real emotion and become attached to reading more. I wanted to feel those feeling for the present but it just wasn't there.

I did enjoy this book and I think it is worth a read. I would feel this in the summertime, relaxing. It is definitely a "summer" read.

Logan & Carver fell in love at summer camp when they were teenagers. They didn't have a normal relationship, only talking to each other at summer camp each summer. So when it ended, it was rough. They pretty much abandoned each other and didn't speak for 5 years. Then when they meet again, they pretty much hopped into a relationship again.

Their whole story was sad, but happy at the same time. They lost each other, but when they found each other again it was sweet. They had to get over their inner turmoil and let themselves love again. They were older, so their relationship was completely different but they made it work.

The only part I didn't like about the story is that they both seemed so hurt by the other person, but the first thing they did was hookup again without really taking about anything.

I loved the chemistry between Carver and Logan. I sweet light hearted love story. This story puts you on the love roller coaster. The story starts out with young love, then has the teens grow the separate and go different ways, The get thrown back together many years later and eventually pick up where they left off

For me this is just classic New Adult romance and I love it. It may not be the most groundbreaking thing in the world, but there's just something comforting and enjoyable about these sort of books that I can't find in others.

Sweet Summer Love is, like any good NA story, a tad emotional, and sweet and sexy. Logan and Carver spent their teen summers together at camp falling in love, but never seeing each other at any other time but summer. They lived in different parts of the state, he was from a rich family, and she was from a poor family. Carver promised Logan forever, but things happened and she never saw him again until 5 years later when she was on a date at a college basketball game and Carver was the star player for one of the teams.

As they fall back into a relationship, things are revealed and their second chance just might be within reach. But, as Carver prepares to be drafted into the NBA and they deal with the consequences of their past actions, and those of some people close to them, how will they deal? Can Logan deal with Carver's new lifestyle as a professional athlete? Can they ever forgive those who hurt them in the past?

Sweet Summer Love is a sweet, sexy second chance romance. It is definitely NA, so if that isn't your thing, you might want to look elsewhere. However, if you like NA, and all the emotional goings on that NA brings to the table, then definitely check out Sweet Summer Love!

I absolutely love Sierra Hill's books! She is following Addison Moore's 3AM Kisses Series, but it is not quite the same.

This book was great with the story-line from how Logan and Carver met to the jump backs on their relationship. Sierra really keeps you guessing throughout the book as to why these two ended things and what happened! Well it is quite the shocker, but in the end everything works out in this book!

Great story, and amazing characters... I cannot wait to read more books from the talented Sierra Hill!

Probably the behest on the series of books by Sierra Hill. Totally unexpected storyline.

I enjoyed this book. When I read the synopsis I was excited and eager to read it. The story line was something. I was looking for in a new read. Although I do have to say there are some points in the book where things are over explained and drag on. I wanted to get to the point, but it took forever to get there. I would recommend this to someone who's looking for a quick summer read, and would probably read more from this author in the future.
