Avery Flynn did it again with Trouble and the only thing this book made me want to do was read the rest of the series by some amazing authors. She made this story light, fun, intriguing and interesting. But, then again, it’s what I expected.

Leah was one badass woman. She had a chip on her shoulder the size of Texas and the biggest part of that chip is definitely Drew Jackson. So, who is the first person that she runs into? Of course, the bane of her existence. The man who ripped her heart out. The man that is even sexier now than he was when he walked away without a backward glance. She has no idea what she got herself into but she knows she’s in deep and there is only one man that she can trust to keep her safe. But, at what expense?

Drew Jackson knows he’s in trouble when he pulls over the Aston Martin and the one person he never thought he would see in Catfish Creek again steps out of the vehicle. And, the little head stands up and does a dance while the big head screams “no”. This is supposed to be his last week here as Sheriff and he can get out of this crazy town. He did the family obligation thing and wants nothing more than to move on. But, dealing with the insane Mayor and now Leah, his last week will be anything but peaceful. So, finding out that Leah is in trouble, he can’t help but be there for her, be her bodyguard and get her out of his system.

Too bad neither one of them could turn off their libido when they are around the other. A pair of hand-cuffs, a couple of commands, a lot of dirty talk and Drew has Sweets panties melting right off her. Too bad it doesn’t do anything with her attitude. Now, he has to find a way to protect her without his heart getting involved, again. When everything goes sideways, he can’t ignore his feelings anymore. She may have had a crush on him in the past but he was definitely in love with her. Next task after saving her ass – convince her.

Avery Flynn put a little bit of everything in this story … defiance, frustration, sex, humor, intrigue, pot, sex. Did I mention that the sex was off the charts? Leah’s attitude way hysterical. Drew fighting his attraction was even funnier. Even when danger came knocking on the door, you couldn’t help but smile. I love Avery Flynn’s style of writing and always look forward to the stories that she pens. It was no different with Trouble.

I read this entire series while on vacation last week in Florida. It was the PERFECT pick for my vacation! The stories weren't overly short or long. They were just perfect! I don't have a favorite, so don't ask me LOL they were all really fantastic in their own right!

If you're as old as I am, you may have experienced a few HS reunions yourself and maybe, like me, you may not have wanted to re-visit those days for whatever reason, but a whooooooooooole lot can change in a decade, both good and bad, and in the end, you might just end up re-connecting with people you never thought in a million years you would :) IMO, that's what this series was all about. Each author took two people in the same world and brought them back together ....

In Trouble by Avery Flynn , we have Leah Camacho and Drew Jackson paired. Seriously you guys, the girl who trouble follows her and the sheriff LOL Let the sexy games begin. This second chance to get it right love story was ridiculously perfect. It was witty and sexy and passionate and had a bit of suspense attached to it so the pages just kept turning. Very well written characters that fir perfectly together. They didn't quite fit 10 years ago, but today they explode like firecrackers together!

This book was so much fun. The characters are simultaneously at each other's throats and in each other's pants. Nothing says welcome home than being pulled over by your ex boyfriend, the cop. Hysterical and sweet all at the same time.

Trouble
Bad Boys Homecoming #2
Avery Flynn
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bad girl from Catfish Creek falls for the hot and sexy Sheriff. This second chance romance was a super cute read with a bit of suspense thrown in.
My first Avery Flynn book and I definitely wasn't disappointed. Lots of sexy scenes and dirty talk throughout the story. I look forward to reading more of her books in the future.
Thanks NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Trouble is the second novella in the bad boy homecoming series by 5 great authors. It's the story of Leah and Drew. If you have read Dropout you might already be familiar with the heroine since she is Grayson's best friend and we got to see her in his story.

I was very happy to see that this book is connected with the B squad series. I loved those books and this one is another good book in the series. The suspense element is strong in the story, but it also leaves time for romance. I will admit thought that the action parts are the ones who have been in my mind longer than the relationship between the two main characters.

The characters are one of the strong parts of the story. While the book didn't blow my mind, I was able to enjoy it a lot and I am happy to say that it was a good book which I would recommend to a friend.

I had high hopes for this one ever since I finished Prom Queen because Leah sounded like a cool character in that one, but eh

I found the romance to be a bit lacking; I at least want to know why Drew and Leah fell in love with each other because all I saw was lust (not that there's anything wrong with that but I just want to see the reason why these two couldn't let go of each other). They seemed to have a history--a bit of hate to love you going on, and then a bad split--but it wasn't expanded or explained, they just immediately hooked up within minutes of reuniting. I also found the heist gone wrong plot thing distracting.

Overall, it could have been better.

Ten year high school union brings Leah Camacho back to her hometown Catfish Creek. On her way to Catfish Creek, she is faced with a trouble. When she was stopped by Catfish Creek Sheriff Drew Jackson who she always had trouble with.
To Drew, Leah was always trouble. They have known each other since she was 6 years old and they had explosive relationship about 8 years ago and now she is back in Catfish Creek and it is wrecking havoc on his mind and his body.
They have always been hot for each other but it didn’t end well when Drew left Leah without a proper good bye when he was leaving for Forth Worth.
Now she is back and brought trouble with her when he sees her racing down one of the street. When he finds out she has been followed and FBI as well. He can’t just leave her so he decide to be his protecter. Leah doesn’t like the idea very much but she couldn’t just roam around.
Ever since then Leah can’t forgive him even if her body responses differently. They had love, hate relationship. But now they are forced to work together to keep her safe and it is challenging for both. They can’t keep their hands off each other and they give into their desire and spends sizzling night. However that complicates both more than what Leah expected.
Now all Leah has to face is high school union she has been dreaded. She has been best friends with Drew’s sister but they drifted apart and they hate each other. Not only that she was an outcast in her class. She was smart but she was hanging out with wrong crowd to protect herself from mean girls.
Now they are back at each other’s arms but how long will it last? Drew is finishing his job and he is ready to move back to Fort Worth but what about Leah.

It was short to finish in two days, but I thought story was little flat and climax of heist felt little too quick. I liked her brother and her fiancee’s interaction and smart mouth Lexie.

What do you get when you toss the bad girl from school with the man she was in love with her whole life, who now happens to be the sheriff plus some jewel thieves on a grad reunion weekend? A ride through some steamy passion, amazing twists and some great intrigue. I really loved Leah’s character because she was a tough as nails, bad to the bone kind of chick but also really soft when it comes to the times she needs to be. She doesn’t back down and gives as good as she gets. I laughed at her moments with her old classmates. Then you toss in sin on a stick Drew and all bets are off. These two play very well off of each other and their passion is sizzling. Add in the diamond thieves, you have a very well rounded story that has more than just the naughty moments! I would highly recommend this one for a quick fun read that will keep you on your toes!

Loved this book! There were so many laugh out loud lines that I actually woke my husband up as I read (way past my bed time). This is such a fun read- the characters are entertaining & the story was well written.

Do yourself a favor- pick this book up. Its a great escape. It is the second book in the Bad Boy Homecoming series but can be read as a stand alone.

Small town girl, Leah Camacho returns home for her tenth high school reunion. Hoping to get in and out of town without trouble, those hopes are dashed as soon as she hits the Catfish Creek. With stolen diamonds, bad guys who want them back she has to have help from Sheriff Drew Jackson, who is still hot. Great read!

Trouble seems to follow Leah around and her high school reunion is no exception. This book is full of twists and turns, a hot (almost ex) sheriff and enough steam to heat up your night. Avery Flynn has a way with words and I found Trouble was a great way to pass a quiet evening at home. I loved this story.

3.5 Stars

I enjoy second chance romance, as the intensity of the renewal of the relationship is a lot of fun and adds an instant depth to the story.

Leah and Drew were together after grad school and then he left, without much of a goodbye or ending to their relationship. So, needless to say, she is a little angry with him. And, wouldn't we all be in the same situation.

Leah wants respect. She was seen as nothing but trouble in high school. She is going to her high school reunion to show everyone that she did make something of herself. Unfortunately, trouble finds her here too. In the form of her ex Drew, a stolen diamond, and some thieves who really want that diamond back.

I enjoyed this overall, although I did think at times the romance of the story was a little lost within the plot of the reunion and the stolen gem, this was enjoyable overall and the chemistry between Lean and Drew was a lot of fun.

I do recommend this book.

This has been a great series that I totally read out of order and guess what, it didn't matter! Each of the stories can be read as a standalone but if you're like me once you read one of them you'll want to read them all. Trouble is the second book in the Bad Boy Homecoming series but it was the forth book that I read.

Leah is back in Catfish Creek to attend her tenth high school reunion, something that she really isn't looking forward to but she's going anyway. There are some good things that come out of this visit and some not so good things. Lets start with the fact that the rental car Leah rents has a stolen diamond in it and now the bad guys are after her in order to get it back...yeah this is the not so good thing that happens, good thing Sheriff Drew is there to help out. Drew is one hot Sheriff with a heart of gold. Yummy!

I LOVED Drew and Leah together! They have great chemistry together, I am still unsure why they truly broke up the first time they were together they should have been able to work through anything with a love like theirs. I need to say that this was probably my favorite book of the series, and that's saying a lot because the whole series was great.

Trouble is a spin-off story from Avery's B-Squad series, although it isn't necessary to read the series in order to enjoy Trouble (I haven't) it is going to leave you more than a little curious as to the background stories of the peripheral characters, especially Leah's brother, Isaac, as little titbits are sprinkled through the narrative to entice you into delving further ;)

Leah was labelled as a bad girl during high school, pushing the boundaries and asserting her individuality, while not particularly bad her actions did set her apart from the herd, and we all know standing out in high school can create it's own kind of hell. Add in the feud with the Prom Queen  and you had one heck of a turbulent time for Leah. It didn't help matters that she fell hard and fast for the Prom Queen's brother, Drew, although they kept their relationship a closely guarded secret. Graduation saw their bitter breakup with Drew leaving Leah in the dust to pursue a career away from Catfish Creek.

Drew has always done what is expected of him, selflessly putting aside his own plans in order to help his family. Even at the expense of his own happiness. the only time he has pursued his own dreams all the other areas of his life imploded including his relationship with Leah. Although he hasn't been able to forget her and no other woman has ever matched up. Drew is at a cross-roads in his life having returned to Catfish Creek to stand in as Sheriff and aid his alcoholic mother, although his tenure has nearly ended and his options have opened up, Drew is still reluctant to follow his heart.

Leah has embraced her bad girl image by opening a medicinal marijuana shop (although it is legal in the state she lives in) not exactly the most appropriate of career choices, lol. Attending the reunion is a way for Leah to lay all of the ghosts from her youth to rest, including her biggest one, Drew. However, Leah unwittingly gets caught up in a jewellery theft putting her life in danger as a result.

Drew, being the Sheriff, takes it upon himself to keep Leah safe, or that is the excuse he gives himself in order to keep Leah close to him. The attraction between them hasn't diminished in the slightest with the ten year absence. Things get very hot between them, although they try to justify their actions as a form of closure. Leah and Drew are inevitable as long as they can overcome the ties that bind them to Catfish Creek ensuring history does not repeat itself.

I loved Drew and Leah's relationship and the second chance they had not only to be together but to pursue their own happiness in the form of their chosen careers. However, I would have liked a little more background detail to their previous relationship while in high school and the resulting breakup. I couldn't quite grasp the dynamics of it with Drew blaming Leah and vice-versa. I have most definitely added the B-Squad series to my wish-list as a result of reading Trouble ;)
