I was really excited to read the Bad Boy Homecoming series as it sounded like something totally different - 5 couples; 10 different people, all someone we might identify with back in high school. Avery Flynn's Trouble was outstanding. Drew and Leah had passion, intensity, banter and kept me hooked from the get go!

When high school bad girl Leah Camacho decided to attend her 10 year high school reunion and go back to the town that thought the worst of her she never expected to run back into trouble. But what happens when danger and the man she's loved since she was six years old all come barreling into her life at warp speed! Fireworks, folks and it was so damn sexy I couldn't get enough.

I really loved Trouble! Leah and Drew were so damn scorching! I loved the fast paced, high adrenaline suspense in this story. Really well done! Bravo! 4 Stars ~Ratula

I would like to thank NetGalley and the publisher/author for a copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Trouble is book 2 in the Bad Boy Homecoming a series of 5 books in total about various couples from Catfish Creek. Drew Jackson and Leah Camacho have a history. Leah has returned for her high school reunion and brought trouble with her. Hot chemistry, a little dirty talk and fun banter, the trouble adds a little mystery to the story. It's a quick and fun read.

So good! This was the first book I have read by Avery Flynn and loved every single minute of it. It all starts with Leah and her outrageous personality. She definitely speaks her mind and doesn't let anyone stand in her way. Her outspokenness gets her in trouble with Drew who is finishing his job as a Sheriff in a small town. Of course in all small towns you know everything and each problem it's citizens have are taken into their own hands to solve. Leah's troubles follow her to a high school reunion leaving her with an experience she will never forget.

I loved the cover of this book and the blurb had me but I just couldn't get into it. For it was a little slow and confusing at the start. It did get better but just not for me. The author is a good writer and I'll be looking for more of her books. Always willing to give new authors a go

Outrageously good! I can't begin to do it justice with my review, but it's enough to say it's Avery at her finest doing what she does best, weaving a story that will rope you right in and keep you there until the last steamy page is read.
Book 2 of the BBH series and I have to say I wasn't sure by the blurb how the book was going to go. So just ignore it and jump right in. Leah left town after high school, half bad girl, half brainiac. And I have to say it thrilled me that someone finally wrote an intelligent woman whose intelligence was mention more than once as an aside in the beginning. Leah decides to come home for the ten year reunion, in part to show the small minded people in town that she's a successful and bright business woman, that her nickname of Trouble hasn't stuck and really to see if Drew Jackson is there. Leah has loved Drew since she was 6. Yeah I know, but I happens. Drew is Sheriff on his way out and in his last week of work when Leah comes into town driving an Astin which she rented in Ft Worth,
with a large dually truck following her. She doesn't know why. Drew and Leah were an item, briefly until he up and left her without even a goodbye and took a job in Ft Worth at the PD there. Leah, who has a temper that matches the size of her girls, takes no prisoners and no crap from anyone. She puts Drew and anyone else in their place. Coming into town she has a blow out and the car is taken to the garage, they have to order the tire, they bag up her stuff including a little bag she found in the glove box and off she goes. She finally puts it together that it's not a kids toy. It's a diamond missing from a huge jewel heist and there is one man who will do anything to get it back.

Her brother Issac runs B-Squad, so this is a great overlap with the books as Issac is called because of the guys that seem to think Leah has something they want. Drew and Issac work on a plan and Drew is determined to protect her. They seem to work out some of their differences, but every time Drew seems to get a leg up, he does something so lame that he's just damned. Meanwhile he denies so much of their relationship. Leah just ignores it. So protective of not wanting to get hurt again. Add to that the fact that her best friend growing up was Drew's sister Jessica (Prom Queen) and when they hit high school she dumped Leah and made her life hell. Reading Prom Queen is a must.

I loved the dialogue between Leah and Drew, how Drew finally grew up through the course of this book and realized his part in what happened between himself and Leah and his part in enabling his Mother. (read the book) And the family dysfunction there. And the end of the book and the twists.
I'm smiling. Yep. Avery. She can pull your strings, from being righteously angry like Leah, feeling helpless and frustrated like Drew and getting all hot and steamy with the two of them. She weaves a great story here and this one you won't want to miss.

I'd give it 10 stars. Great story Avery, it's over the top!!!

3.5

As I stated in my review of Prom Queen I really like the concept of this series.

Having read Book 3 first, this second book in the series tackles the "opposites attract" trope with bad girl Leah Camacho and Sheriff Drew Jackson. They had a hot-and-heavy brief relationship going one summer before Drew left Leah without a backward glance.

Now, Leah is back in Catfish Creek for the big high school reunion, and brings the trouble with her. When Drew realizes exactly what she's embroiled in he's compelled to help her. There's a lot they left between them, and keeping their distance will prove harder than they bargained for.

I loved the heat between Leah and Drew. The kind of love / hate relationship between the two. They can't forget how they left things between them after their summer, which only proves to exacerbate the chemistry between them.

The story had a more romantic suspense feel to it, and while that propelled the story forward quite nicely, however it was also a little part of the downfall for me because I felt like there was too much trying to be shoved into the storyline since this romantic suspense also has to compete with the regular romance trope and the issues with the High School reunion.

Also, having read the third book before the second book, I noticed the slight inconsistencies between each story. It made me wish that the authors lined their stories up a little better.

I did like the further glimpses we get into the potential other couples in the remaining books, and I can't wait to see how their stories come together. I've also never read anything else by Avery Flynn, and I'm interested in reading more.

I loved this book!! Drew and Leah were so hot and cold, it was the perfect match! I can't wait to read the rest of the series and I also am going to check out the B-Squad series!

Very cute, second chance romance. I loved how spunky Leah was, she was able to give back anything that was thrown at her. Drew really was a man coming into his own but I guess better late than never.

I loved the characters right from the beginning of this book. I relate a lot to Leah since I am also from a small town and had a strong attachment to one of the "good ole boys". However I did also like that her character was different and a little gritty. Drew was also really well written, I really enjoyed that the fact that you could either relate to the character or you have met someone like them before. I was so drawn into this story right from the beginning. The story line has a little suspense mixed in with the romance which is something I personally LOVE in novels. Basically to sum up all of this, I loved this book it was exactly what I hope to get from small town romances, just a great time!

This quick read was hot and eventful all in one read! The characters Drew and Leah dealt with their pasts while battling the danger in their present. The story had some twists and was suspenseful in places while the tension between the characters in places was palpable and hot. The characters were well written with chemistry. I enjoyed this story from start to finish and would recommend it to others.

Drew is a sucker for his girl, "don't worry, I'll give it to you." He carried her out of the kitchen. "I'll always give you what you want." I really liked this book, Drew was quite the alpha male.
