I was generously provided with an arc of this book by Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review and here it is:
Truth to tell I haven't read a Lori Foster book since I read the Buckhorn Boys series when I was a teenager and I just loved those books so much, especially Sawyer and Casey's books that I just couldn't bring myself to read another Lori Foster book because I thought that there was just no way that I could love any of her other characters as much as I had loved the Buckhorn Boys and then along comes Worth the Wait and I absolutely love Hogan Guthrie and now want to go back and read other books in this series.
I was captivated by the two story lines within the same book and watching the blossoming romances along with the characters growth and development was absolutely beautiful.
I laughed, I smiled, I swooned and I even maybe shed a tear or two, but more, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and now want to read more Lori Foster books

4.5 Stars
Book 2 in the Guthrie Brothers but this book can be read as a standalone, I know this because I haven't read book 1 yet, I will be one clicking that one next. I love single dad romances and I loved that this single dad has an older son rather than the cute kids we seem to meet all the time.
Hogan Guthrie is working an extra job as a weekend barbecue master at the local diner owned by Violet Shaw, on the face of it these two don't like each other there is plenty of friendly snipping going on right from page one but you know what they say "opposites attract". When Violet goes down with pneumonia Hogan finds himself not only the barbecue master he also ends up as nursemaid to Violet and as she starts to feel better one thing leads to another....
In Worth the Wait we don't just get one love story we get two when local Sheriff Nathan Henry falls for jewelry designer Brooklin Sweet, these two maybe secondary characters but Lori Foster still gets their story over without it taking anything away from Hogan and Violet.
The characters are easy to fall in love with, they are sweet, caring and at times very funny also let's not forget the passion. Great read that has left me wanting more from the Guthrie Brothers with that in mind I'm off to one click book one.

Lori Foster never disappoints, this was a fun, entertaining read. I loved Hogan and Violet, along with all the other characters in this story. Every couple had thier own story all intertwining around Violet's Diner. This well written book had humour, drama, sexual tension and suspense. The characters were well written and all up an entertaining tale. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend this book.

Worth The Wait is right - I didn't realise how much I wanted this book until I got it!

What I like about the Guthrie Bros books is that we kind of get 2 stories in each one.

The main protaganists in Worth The Wait are Hogan and Violet - they have been kind of circling each other for a while with a bit of a love/hate thing going on. I adore them, Hogan in all his hotness, and Violet with all her bite and snark.

We also get the new girl in town, Brooklin, and hot cop Nathan finding their way to a HEA.

We get lots of the characters from the first book, as all their lives are so interwoven.

Sweet and sexy, with a bit of suspense thrown in for good measure, these guys sure do give us a bit of the swoon factor, and had me reading Worth The Wait in one day.

It is sad to see these characters go, but now I can't wait to see what Ms Foster brings us next.

I couldn't finish it. Just too much going on. I've tried to,read Lori Foster before and had the same problem. Maybe it's just me. But I'm still willing to read it again. I keep hearing great reviews but I can't seem to get into her books. There's too much description for me which I do like but this is too, excessive and I lose interest. Sorry ...I really tried.
