Great book for all ages on badass women who shook the world. While not thorough in its explorations of these famous women, it serves as a good introduction to women who aren't normally talked about that much. Recommended for most public libraries.

Brazen: Rebel Ladies Who Rocked the World is an exciting and empowering graphic book. Penelope Bagieu has chosen a diverse group of kick-ass women to profile.
I enjoyed every page of Brazen. I learned, I was inspired, and I was entertained. I highly recommend this book!

I loved Brazen and the stories of women with great courage who were different than most. I have enjoyed all the books or recently focusing on the contributions of women, but Brazen took it to a new level by talking about strong women who impacted the world in a distant way. I also really enjoyed the graphic novel form. While I won't be using this book in my early elementary classroom I can see many middle and high school students loving this book.

There are lots of books like this coming out and I love it. A graphic novel is a great way to get these stories to the masses, particularly the younger masses.

First off: I figure it's because this is a digital arc, but the quality of the illustrations was poor (pixelated) and I hope this is cleared up in the final edition.

That said, I really enjoyed this overview of so many fantastic women. Most I knew nothing about before I read this book. And the women I'd heard of? I learned something new about each of them.

At the end of the book is a list of "30 more rebel ladies who rocked the world." I utterly and completely hope that means there will be a sequel in the future.

Definitely recommending this to anyone who enjoyed Wonder Women, Rad Women Worldwide, Rejected Princesses, and Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls.

This book tells the story of various women, some more famous than others, and how hard they fought for what they wanted or believed. The format is accessible and the illustrations soften the heartbreaking words that sometimes accompany them.
