If I had to pick my one author crush, it would most definitely HAVE to be Erin Nicholas. She just can truly do no wrong in my eyes as a reader! This series is one of my absolute favorite!! I have to admit I have re-read each book multiple times now and that really never happens!

Finn and Sophie. I’m not even sure what to say about them that will really do them justice. They are just pure character perfection.

Not too much needs to be said that isn’t already said below without spoilers. But Frank suuucks. Finn and Sophie are my new book crush.

Please don’t ever stop writing, Erin. You can do no wrong!

I love Erin Nicholas’ books! Every single time I think this will be my favorite. Finn and Sophie were such a great couple and Finn’s family becoming Sophie’s makes me so happy. Frank is the worst. This is a great book with romance, family, friends, sexiness and laughter.

I have LOVED the Opposites Attract series from Erin Nicholas from the start and Totally His was flat out fabulous as we are introduced to a policeman whose wild, crazy Irish family is bound and determined to help out a local playhouse owner after a fire destroys part of her theater. As a lover of this author’s work, I’m already envisioning a whole series about the Kelly family or perhaps the police officers and firefighters we meet in this book. (No pressure there Erin…LOL.) I loved Totally His because it had many layers; it was about all kinds of relationships, both healthy and unhealthy, it was about two people really having to work at meeting each other’s needs, learning to compromise and accepting your flaws. These were not perfect characters, not by a long shot and they had some fundamental differences about family, like, and love, but watching them fall even when they didn’t want to was sweet, funny, and oh so sexy.

Sophia “Sophie” Birch loves the playhouse her grandmother left her more than anything in the world. For her it is the stability she hasn’t had since she was a young girl and when it catches on fire, she is concerned her life might never be the same. One thing she feels compelled to do is to go back in the building to save the screenplay written by one of her friends and volunteers, what she doesn’t expect is to have to fight off a police officer who seems determined to save her or how much she likes it.

Finn Kelly can’t believe it when he has to go after a woman who returns to the burning Birch Playhouse or how she fights him when he tries to remove her. He won’t deny he is attracted to her or the fact he likes her feistiness, but duty and safety come first. When he finds out the playhouse means more to his mom he ever expected, Finn calls on friends and family to help, he just has no idea that woman he pulled out of the building is his Mom’s friend and knows he’s in trouble.

Sophie and Finn come from two very different upbringings which has shaped the way they look at the world and relationships. It was interesting watching Sophie who has shied away from families and especially men with families fall head over heels in love with Finn’s family and eventually Finn. Finn realized early on that Sophie needed his mom and so he tried to just be Sophie’s friend, but with each passing day as he uncovered every little thing about it he lost his heart to her.

For the most part the struggles these two had came from outside sources and while it did affect them, they learned to adapt, learned to compromise, and worked to understand what each other needed from their relationship better.

Between Sophie’s friends, Finn’s friends and family there were a lot of people in this story and it was busy, but the friendship and eventual relationship between Sophie and Finn was front and center the whole time with everyone and everything else revolving around them.

Fun, sexy, with moments of seriousness, Totally His was a completely entertaining story that I loved from start to finish.

Loved it! Sophie Birch is my favorite leading lady of the series, and not just because her last name is awesome! I loved that Sophie was both strong and vulnerable. The whole family dynamic aspect was really well done too, whether it was the theater family, the girls and their fellas family, the Birch family, or the Kelly’s they all felt realistic and never overdone or unbelievable. I’m going to miss these ladies and their men but can’t wait to see what’s next for Erin!

I loved this story, and especially Finn. He was so calm and patient, and helped Sophie in ways she didn't even know she needed. She was just what he needed too. The drama with her father was well-written, and, while frustrating, was the perfect addition to the plot.

It started with a building fire and the fire between them only grew! It was super sexy and funny. What a wining combo!

I really enjoyed this story. The leading man Finn was just impossible not to swoon over. He was a hot cop with a loud, supportive, utterly loveable family. He had far too many good qualities to count and while he might have had one or two shake worthy moments, I still couldn't help but love him.

Sophie was an excellent leading lady. She had a rough childhood and had built up protective walls and methods to live her life with as little stress and drama as possible, other than on stage of course. I loved her feisty personality and strength of character. She was also very protective of the people she cared for.

The storyline keeps you hooked and wondering what's going to happen next with Finn's crazy fun family and the development between him and Sophie. Sophie's father adds a whole new dynamic and set of problems, but it all makes for a story that was entertaining and easy to just breeze through the pages. It's a contemporary romance I would definitely recommend.

I friggin' loved Totally His, the third book in Erin's adorable Opposites Attract series. Following Sophia and Finn's budding relationship, both onstage and off, was so much fun. They made me laugh and cry... Then I wanted to kick Sophia's dad in the... Well, you get the picture. The guy is an ass, plain and simple. I hated what he did to her. You could feel her frustration and sadness radiate off the page. Although he may have hindered more than helped, Finn's heart was always in the right place. It doesn't take long for him to want a future with Sophia and he felt like he needed to fix things. For a woman that is so used to protecting herself and doing things her own way, that's something new for Sophia. Things aren't perfect for them right off the bat, but the way they worked through their problems made me fall even deeper for them.

I'm enjoying the hell out of this series. Erin's writing is fantastic. I love that there is a little bit of everything in each of the books. Not only is there a lot of funny moments, but there's also a fun mix of cute and sexy scenes. Hopefully there are at least a couple more books in the series because I'm not ready to say bye to these characters just yet, especially Colin. Don't worry, you'll meet him shortly.

Totally His is book three in the Opposites Attract series. Before going into this book I had no idea that it was the third in the series. Luckily, this book can read as a stand alone. I never felt like I missed out on anything or that I was lost as to what was going on.

Sophie Birch didn't have the best upbringing. Her father was a con-man to the extreme and she was forced to just be the pawn in his cons. Now that she's an adult she wants as far away from that life as possible. Sophie is an actress and owner of the local theater. Everything is going great until a fire breaks out.

Enter Finn Kelly. He's the officer called to secure the scene. Finn and Sophie have an adorable first meeting. I would say that it wasn't exactly love at first site but it was still cute from the readers stand point.

Totally His reminded me of a Hallmark movie. It was sweet with some angst thrown in. I will say that at times, the angst go to be a bit annoying. The back and forth feelings from Sophie with her schmuck of a father thrown in, did get annoying at times. Overall, this was a light hearted read and I did enjoy it. I will most certainly read other books written by Erin Nicholas.

Totally His is the third book in Erin Nicholas' Opposites Attract series, and it is probably my favorite out of the three. Never mind that I am a reformed theatre junkie I just really liked everything about this book. And I'm hoping with Finn Kelly's huge family we get a spin off, hint hint nudge nudge wink wink.

Sophie was raised by a manipulative father, he would seduce woman and charm them into marriage and when the charm stopped working or he just got tired of them he took his Sophie and left and went on the look out for the next ex-Mrs. Birch. The times when Sophie didn't have a mother she would often live in the car. This made Sophie very jaded toward men, she also longed for a big family with open arms and unconditional love. That is the Kelly family, a big Irish bunch who argue and meddle and love unconditionally, Sophie already loves Angie Kelly, she met Angie at her playhouse and they fell into a very easy friendship. Angie also understood Sophie's need to stay out of her family life, after all with a father like her's she couldn't take the risk that he would show up and ruin it all for her.

Finn is a fixer, he likes to help out when he can, he also has a bit of a hero complex which is a good thing he became a cop. When his Mom's favorite playhouse catches on fire, one he was on the scene for and had to physically remove a woman from the theatre, he feels it's only right for him and his buddy's help out with the repairs. Finn is pleasantly surprised when he finds out that the woman he had to pull out the theatre is the Sophie his mother has been talking about. Even though he promised his mother he would go after Sophie he can't help but flirt with her and feel jealous when any of the other guys flirt with her. They decide an easy way for them to raise money to repair the playhouse is to put on a play with the firefighters and policemen. Lucky for them Angie just happens to have one ready, one based on how she fell in love with her husband and the troubles that arose when they did. Finn and Sophie are cast as the leads. The sexual chemistry between Finn and Sophie goes deeper than just that they feel comfortable around each other and Sophie shares more with him than she's ever shared with anyone else before.

Just when Sophie starts to feel comfortable around the Kelly family her father introduces himself to the family as well. Sophie tries to warn Angie and Finn not to let him in but they do and trying to convince Finn that her father can not be fixed is the one thing that just might tear them apart. Overall, it was a really good read, I loved the characters and especially Angie. It was an emotionally charged story and the chemistry between Finn and Sophie was so perfect.

Too hot to handle! A bit of a fire leads to sparks flying between Sophie and Finn in the latest in the Opposites Attract series! It's a really fun read with a snarky connection between the characters that lead to a passionate and feisty relationship.

Sophie Birch isn't used to having someone to lean on, so when a fire starts at the community theater she owns, she takes it upon herself to grab everything she needs as she's evacuating ... only a sexy cop catches her in a compromising position and sweeps her off her feet to get her out of danger.

Boston police officer Finn Kelly can't believe his luck when he gets an eyeful of the sexy pink lingerie the victim of the fire he's dispatched to is wearing. He's only too happy to follow along after her to make sure she's out of harms way. When he finds out who she is and sees that trouble has a way of finding her, he sets out to show her that she doesn't have to fight all by herself against the world ... she's got him, his family and all of her friends to rally behind her now!

Totally His begins with Finn Kelly arriving at a theater fire to help with crowd control. One of the first things he spots is a woman in pink lingerie sneaking into the burning theater. He heads in to make the woman vacate the premises, only to be met with vehement resistance. Once he literally picks her up to get her out of the building, he takes her outside, only to lose track of her pretty quickly. It doesn’t take long for him to spot her, or someone whom he thought was her. He approaches “her” and immediately realizes that he has been duped. The woman who had donned the pink robe was not the woman he rescued from the building. Go figure….

Sophie Birch is knows she risked a lot going back into her burning theater to rescue a script that was an original written by her good friend, Angie. But, it was that good. She also a little side tracked with thoughts of the sexy as hell cop that carried her to safety. Those thoughts disappear as her estranged father, Frank, shows up looking for a place to stay and some quick cash.

It doesn’t take long for Sophie and Finn to realize that their lives are intertwined in ways that neither knew about. Once Finn mobilizes family, friends and co-workers to help Sophie repair the damage to her theater, Sophie starts to do something she swore she’d never do: long for a family and support system that she’s never had. Determined to not fall for Finn, Sophie tries to keep her distance from him, but ends up failing miserably. As Finn realizes that he’s fallen hard for Sophie, he vows to do everything in his power to keep her safe and make her totally his……..

Totally His is a wonderfully written story. Sophie is independent, feisty and loyal. She’s been her own support system for so long that she has a lot of trouble opening up and letting people in. Finn is caring, loyal and steadfast in his belief that he needs to give back and try to help everyone in need. When the two of them come together, along with his huge, boisterous family, it doesn’t take Sophie long to be overwhelmed. Throw in her player father, whom she tries to protect everyone from, and you’ve got a great story. The chemistry between Finn and Sophie leaps off of the page. Their banter is engaging and funny. The secondary characters only add to the whole experience. Totally His pulls at your heart strings, but it also makes you swoon with the sizzling romance and humor. I didn’t know this was the third book in a series until I went to write this review, so it can totally be read as a standalone, as I didn’t feel like I was missing any background information that made the story seem out of sorts. This is the first I’ve read by this author, but it will not be the last. Well done, Erin Nicholas! Very well done!

Another win in Erin Nicholas’s “Opposites Attract” series! Although there’s continuation and MCs in previous installments usually appear in the following book, each story in the series can be read as standalone. Just like this one.

Totally His is blend of fun and droll times with heartbreaking and touching moments. Finn and Sophie first met when the the theater she inherited from her grandmother caught fire. When he saw how upset his mother that the accident would delay the amateur production the theater’s plan on, he volunteers to help the fix the damage with the help of friends, family, and community. He is doubly surprised as not only the woman caught his attention during the fire is his mother’s new BFF, but also that she owns the place. What follow is what initially designed as passing affair, between the two amidst disapproval from their most dearest.

Just like the name of the series, the characters in this book came from opposite background. Sophie dreams of settling down in one place after childhood spent charming one stepmother after another for her father. And he often embroiled her in his shams. The dysfunctional relationship between Sophie and her father is just so heartbreaking to witness. The frustration and helplessness she feels and the oblivious response just got me. (Mind you, part of what she deals with hit too close to home).

Finn comes from boisterous and respectable family, following in his late father’s step to become cop. Overall he sounds like the most unlikely choice for Sophie. But man, I just love how patient and understanding his character being with Sophie and her situation. Their blossoming romance just adorable! Made me wish every girl (or guy) got to have a Finn Kelly in their life!! *wink*

The alternate POVs between him and Sophie also allow both characters past to spill into the page along with their feelings of the whole ordeal. I had my tissue-box-moments reading this, as well as snorting and laughing along with the shenanigans Finn, Sophie, and the supporting characters involved in. Totally His confirmed that “Opposites Attract” is Erin Nicholas’s must read series for me. A truly enjoyable and entertaining read for me! I can’t wait what the next story the author would bring.

Review: Totally His by Erin Nicholas is a contemporary romance that swallows me up whole. The emotional journey is powerful. Hits me hard in the chest. I was easily able to relate to the main character and her life story. I’ve lived in a similar situation where my relationship with my parents matched hers. Suffering, loss, death, being constantly shifted from place to place…is difficult.

Sophie Birch inherits her grandmother’s theater. Only it comes with a huge price. Being partners with her dad. A father that never was one to begin with…he took everything that ever mattered to Sophie away. Always asking her for money. Making Sophie as miserable as ever…then, something changes. The theater that brings them both money, gets set on fire. Fireman, like Finn Kelly rush to the scene. That’s where fate intervenes and life gets messier. Sophie is stuck with her dad. Whether she wants him or not, he’s a constant hell to her life. Wherever Sophie’s dad is, trouble comes with him. But with Finn there’s some hope of everything that Sophie hasn’t had and could have. But will it work, is something they have to fight for…

Frank Birch is a jerk. A pathological liar and thief. He ruins everything. Meaning, he moves Sophie around so much that she loses her friends, has no stable home, and never has someone to love her. He doesn’t love his daughter. He only uses her for money. Frank never holds a job. Weasley his way into a person’s good side and then, bam, he destroys them. Borrows money, doesn’t ever pay back. Breaks women’s hearts. Tears his daughter up both emotionally and physically. I really hated Frank. In fact, I wish he died in the book. Sophie would have been better with him gone completely from her life. Yet, Erin Nicholas lets him stay like a thorn in Sophie’s side. A constant burden…that’s why I gave this book a half star less than five stars.

Erin Nicholas is indeed a talented writer. I love her work. Totally His is sexy, hot, and sad at the same time. A roller-coaster ride that leaves me feeling complete sympathy for the main character. It sucked that the bad character couldn’t go away and stay away. I wish he had. It’s like Sophie, the main character, has to constantly battle her dad. It didn’t feel like a fun future. It left a sour taste in my heart for this book. If the ending result was rewritten, I would say, I loved this novel. But I can’t. I find myself both liking and hating it at the same time. Characterization was believable and stunning. Rooting for the good ones and wanting to strangle the bad ones. The plot was steady. The emotional pull to Sophie was worth reading this tale. Overall, I recommend it to readers everywhere.

Sophia is determined not to be like her father, a con man. She lives honestly running her grandmother's playhouse. She's a likable character who sweeps Finn off his feet. Finn and Sophia's chemistry is off the charts and the tension is as steamy as an outdoor hot tub in Canada in January. Finn is fun and sexy. I love his interaction with his family and his determination to help Sophia.
If you enjoy a sexy, fun romance then I highly recommend checking out Totally His!

Totally His is the third book in the Opposites Attract series by Erin Nicholas. Each of the books can be read as standalones, and they are each contemporary romances. Totally His is the first book in the series that I have read, but I really enjoyed it. It totally hit the spot. I have been reading lots of heavy duty fantasies lately, which I have been absolutely loving, but I did forget how much I enjoy a lighthearted- feel good romance. And Totally His was just that. It was exactly what I needed to break up all the intense books I have been reading.

Totally His is the story of Sophie and Finn. I immediately loved Sophie and Finn. Their first encounter was pretty funny. Sophie owns a theater, and Finn is called to the scene of a theater on fire and he is greeted by a woman in a robe and pink fuzzy slippers trying to sneak back into the building. Sophie will do anything she can to save her theater. Insert into that an over protective Finn, a great connection between Sophie and Finn’s mom and Finn’s big crazy family and you have a romance that is a ton of fun! I loved everything about this book. It gave me all the warm fuzzies. I can’t wait to read more in the Opposites Attract series!

Bottom line: If you like romances with a great dose of humor, lots of heart, great chemistry and insanely likable characters, Totally His will put a big smile on your face. It is a really fun read.

First off, Totally His was super adorable. I haven't read the first two books, but this can stand as a standalone. The story focuses on Sophie Birch and Finn Kelly. There's so much going on in this story. We have Sophie who doesn't have any desire to be part of a big family, or really any relationship. Which is completely understandable with the background she has, I mean her father is a user. He preys on innocent, unsuspecting people to be the biggest mooch. He used his daughter. I wished Sophie used her kick boxing skills on her father, and I would have been like you go girl. Seriously, the dude needed to be dropped kicked. He totally manipulated the situation with Sophie. I'm not kidding I would have cut ties with my dad. My family knows where I stand on stuff like this, so to see Sophie willing to bend to her father whims was a struggle. In some aspects I struggle with Sophie. Then we have Finn who comes from this massive family. They are in everybody's business, but they love it. They are a family of helpers, which intrigues Frank (Sophie's father). However, Frank should never had tangled with involved families, they can be big and scary. Anyway, Frank and Sophie's relationship isn't a healthy one. Sophie kind of enables her father. Fortunately, she has Finn who is willing to fight for her.

For the most part Totally His is an adorable. I had a few issues whenever, Frank would enter the picture. Then again, I wanted to do bodily harm to the man. I would have cheered on anyone who decked the guy, because he needed to be put in his place. I love Sophie and Finn's romance. I mean Finn had to work hard to even get pass Sophie's aversion to feeling like she needed help. She didn't want be like her father. Overall, a pretty good read.

Totally His by Erin Nicholas is one of those books you can't put down once you start. I didn't realize this was part of a series until I reached the end. The good news is you don't have to read the two previous books.

I've followed Erin Nicholas for years now and hadn't yet had the chance to read her work until now. What's wrong with me, right? I had no idea how much I was missing out on.

I loved Totally His. The characters are more than likable, their struggles are relatable, and the story felt real. The more I read about the Finn Kelly's family, the more I wished they were real. Who doesn't want a family like theirs? They sort of operate in the "one for all and all for one" kind of motto.

I don't usually care much for cops or firefighter romances, but I'll say this is the exception to the rule. I fell in love with every single one of them, though Finn (a cop) is my favorite.

I liked that Finn was just a cop, no fancy detective. I enjoyed the fact that he's possessive but not overbearing. I loved that though he has his doubts about Sophie, he owns his attraction toward her from the beginning and he doesn't waste time with what if's. He's decisive, and I just love that in a hero.

Then, there's Sophie. She's been through a lot thanks to her infamous dad, and she's put up with it. But I enjoyed watching her reach her tipping point and say enough is enough. I loved the fact that even though Finn wants to protect her, he isn't there to intervene when she stands up for herself and goes borderline psycho in front of her dad. That was the best scene. I rooted for her all throughout.

This is definitely one I will read again, I loved it that much!
