While reading this book, I have a close family member suffering through cancer treatment and I read an article about Joni Eareckson Tada and her winning the Daniel of the Year Award from World magazine.

This book was a great source of wisdom and encouragement for this time in my life and I believe others will feel the same. At the very least we are reminded of how lightning quick a life can change. Katherine Elizabeth Clark was playing tag on the playground with young children one minute and the next she is flat on the ground and unable move after a 7-yr-old accidentally lands on her head from above her. She is ultimately able to walk again, but her life is never the same.

Part memoir, inspirational and theological in nature. This book is recommended especially for women, but will be edifying for men and teen readers as well.

I found the book very sluggish as religious references seemed to overpower the story. The religious references drove the story rather than the actual story of what happened to the author. Found the writing very dry also.

This was beautifully moving.
One persons first account on their pain and suffering and perseverance .
We shouldn’t take things for granted and anyone thing can change outer perception on that.

Good book but not as cohesive as I would have liked it to be.

Katherine Clark has certainly endured one of the most bizarre accidents I can imagine. Random, unimaginable.

Her reaction to her accident is as uncommon as her injury. What I expected from this book was the account of a woman whose life was destroyed, who had to re-orient her entire set of beliefs and somehow find hope. That was not what I found in this book. Clark moved through her injury and learning to cope with a quiet resolve, acknowledging the emotions she was experiencing but never losing hope. While this was certainly a devastating life change, it doesn't come across that way in her reactions.

There is an embrace of life in this book, a measured movement from one phase to the next that shines a light in the darkness.

WHERE I END is a beautifully written novel by Ms Clark. This was the first publication that I read by her...hopefully not the last. I enjoyed her storytelling, her writing, and her imagination. I look forward to reading more of her work. Thank you for sharing this w/ me. I have shared it w/ all of my reading friends.

Sometimes one little moment can change your life forever, and no matter how much you wish to set the clock back and fix it like they do in the "Groundhog Day" movie, it just does not happen. Katherine Clark describes her life before the accident, things we take for granted every day - movement in her case. She has also worked through a lot of scriptures during this horrible ordeal, so there is much material to think about whether you have been in an accident or not. Even though there is no happiest ending yet, we can surely see a true miracle of God. And may I say, a miracle in action, because God is not done healing Katherine Clark, the work He has done so far is amazing.

This likely is the best first person story of pain, suffering, and overcoming that I have read. Ms. Clark shares her story with exceptional eloquence. She invited me into her life so fully that I could see my pain through her eyes. Ms. Clark changes the discussion of Christian suffering. She has helped me remove the question of "Why do I have MS?" She has helped me see that the true question I should be looking for the answer to through my disability is "To what end?" Anyone who is suffering with loss, open-ended grief, or physical struggles will be breathtakingly encouraged by this book.

I stopped reading a little less than 1/2 way through the book because it wasn't interesting to me.

Kate's beautiful gifted writing style, coupled with her ability to explain theology and everything Jesus is awe-inspiring. When a tragic story about a life-altering injury leaves you focused on Jesus and not the injury, a true miracle has taken place. I highlighted profound thoughts on every page as I cried my way through this book!
