Another amazing book by Kim Loraine! I am so loving this series! Intense, hot, and passionate! This series is really unique, and the storyline for this series is so intriguing that I can't put the books down once I start! I'd suggest reading the first book before this one since there are characters from the previous book involved in this one, and the reading experience will be more enjoyable. Devin, a vampire, made a deal to share his body with Sariel, a Watcher, in order to regain his soul. Devin has 5 years to do as he pleases, but then Sariel is to gain control of Devin's body, the end of that 5 years is fast approaching, but when an unexpected person comes into Devin's life, he realizes he may have been hasty in his decisions, and is re-evaluating the deal he made, but he may not find it so easy to change the course he finds himself on. Devin and Willow's chemistry was hot, hot, hot! She's a feisty one, and keeps Devin on his toes. I wasn't in love with some of the games being played between these two, but I enjoyed their connection, and I enjoyed Willow backstory, and seeing how that was going to play out. It added some nice suspense to the story. The writing is wonderful, and really draws a reader in. I wasn't completely happy with a couple things in the end, but that's just because I want my idea of perfect for these characters. I still love this book, and am really looking forward to the next book! Sexy, interesting, dynamic read!

It was just okay for me, but if you like paranormal, it's not a bad read! Enjoy!

This is the second book in the series and I do recommend you read them in order. This read takes place 5 years later and the deal Devin struck with Sariel is nearly up. He meets Willow and the chemistry they share is off the charts hot and so much more. Will he be able to leave now that he has found the woman he loves? Great paranormal read, I was hooked from beginning to end. Looking forward to more.

Devin’s five years are almost over, soon it will be time for Sariel to take control. Devin was ready, he’d spent the last four and a half years using every benefit his Watcher gave him, but then he met Willow. The pull was undeniable, she was his… mind, body, and soul. He knew what he had to do, what he was meant to do, the fight against the Fallen is too important, but how do you let go of your soulmate?

I fell in love with Kim Loraine’s Golden Beach Novel Series and loved her writing style, character development, and overall storytelling ability, so when she came up with this trilogy idea, I thought, what the he!!, I’ll give it a try even though I honestly have never been a fan of vampire/paranormal reads, quite frankly avoided them. But OMG this trilogy has blown me away from the beginning! I have not been able to put either of these books down until I’ve hit the end. Denying the Watcher is an intense rollercoaster ride filled with so many delicious twists and turns you’re left breathless and begging for more. Holy mother of sexual arousal - Devin and Willow are sexually explosive together. Their chemistry is erotic and intense, scorching and sensual.

There are so many things I want comment on, so many twists that stole my breath away and held me captive until the wee hours of the morning! I want to go into detail, but I don’t want to give anything away, I want you to experience the thrill ride in all its glory. This trilogy is a must read!

This is the second installment so make sure to start with Waking the Watcher first. I’m anxiously awaiting book three. Oh, Ms. Loraine, please don’t make us wait too long!

had such high hopes for Kim Loraine's Denying the Watcher. I was intrigued by the premise of this paranormal world and this battle ground between good and evil.

Unfortunately, it quickly just became too rushed. The connection falls into the instalove category, and the constant "I need to get off because you looked at me" was over the top. One lick of Devin's lips or Willow finding Devin creeping outside her window, and she kind of glazes over. Enough where she backtracks on a decision and loses her convictions.

Devin, himself, just had a severe case of blue that by chapter two was probably a medical condition. The only one who piqued my interest and had some character development was the fallen angel/incubus hidden inside Devin. It wasn't enough to keep me reading by 20%.

“Everyone dies whether you love them or not.”

After reading Waking the Watcher I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this story! And it was so worth the wait! I can’t get enough of this riveting series!

“Promises are worth little in a word full of liars and thieves.”

These characters are just incredible. I was so glad Galen is still part of the story, and what a turn this story takes for him. I enjoyed Devin’s character so much. And what a spitfire Willow is, she’s just a perfect addition. Gabriel and Devin’s banter makes me chuckle, I think Gabriel has softened to Devin. And Sariel….oh my, what he does for Reese, what he does for Devin, sigh, heart of gold. I’m so anxious to learn more about him. And oh, how I love the direction his story took!

“And when he looks at me, I see so much more than desire in his eyes. I see the man he has hidden under layers of defense and solitude. I don’t care that he’s everything I shouldn’t want. I don’t care that I’ll have to give him up in order to save his soul. All I want is to make him look at me like that for as long as I can.”

This story grips you from the start and doesn’t let go. I loved Devin & Willow’s dynamic and the twists and turns their story took. I wasn’t sure what was going to be in store for them and how this was going to work for them. And that epilogue……just fantastic!

There are SO many turns of events in this story and they are so exciting! You don’t want any spoilers and you don’t want to miss this captivating story! And the writing is just amazing! Kim Loraine sure knows how to give you an action packed, emotional, energizing story that you can’t get enough of. Such a great plot! I’m dying for book 3!!!!!

Devin is like sunshine, vampire/ incubus sunshine but still sunshine. I didn’t take to his character in the last book even though he heroically sacrificed himself for Galen. But this book made me love him, the way he loved Willow and the “ways” he loved Willow was just hot. At this point Sariel can write a book on how to love a vampire and alienate a watcher. This book has a different feel than first, so this isn't a wash, rinse, repeat, it's funnier, and the excitement is kicked up notch.

Denying the Watcher is a great paranormal read. This book truly has it all; vampires, angels, fallen angels, incubus, succubus and humans of course. This story focuses on Devin, Sariel and Willow. Devin and Sariel is of course sharing a body, and then Willow comes into the picture, along with Selah making an appearance. I honestly have to say that I did not read the first book in this series and yes, I might have missed some key moments in the first story, but in no way was I confused about what was happening. I know there is history from Sariel, Galen and Reese and it touches lightly on their history together but I feel like I didn't miss much because I never read the first book. I don't want to give anything away but this book does not lack action and sexual encounters. This is the first book I've read from this author and I'm not against reading future books from her.
