When Josephine meets Lou Cortez she's quick to judge him based on his appearance. What will happen when she discovers that he might be the best thing to ever happen?
An age-gap romance that takes you into the world of a single parent who has had to claw her way through obstacles and missed opportuninities. Will she ever be able to escape her past and find someone who values her, accepts her and loves her?
If Josephine can find a way to overcome her families expectations and a secret that threatens to destroy any future happiness she might finally find a forver love.
The tension and heat is spicy and the characters left you cheering for their happy ever after!

Collision Course by Marie Harte is a good fit for readers looking for a heartwarming story about a single mother finding love and independence, while also navigating the challenges of her past and the allure of a charming mechanic.

unfortunately, this one wasn't for me! I'm just not a fan of the author's writing and the characters! They weren't my style.

Mechanic Lou Cortez doesn't understand why Joey won't go out with him. He's used to women throwing themselves at him, so why does single mom Joey not give him the time of day? How can he change her mind?
Joey learned her lesson about men long ago when her son's father dumped her. So she's got no time for hottie Lou. But after an aggressively persistent campaign where Lou practically stalks her, she just can't resist any longer. But, will her child be too much for Lou to handle? Can she give her heart to a man who may or may not be OK with her child?
I liked Collision Course. I didn't love it, but I liked it. Joey especially was a great character. I applaud single parents everywhere, how they do it is beyond me. Joey is strong and such a great mother that honestly she made the story for me. Lou was a bit of a jerk at times, so I didn't really fall for him, but I do like how much he loved Joey. I'm looking forward to more from this series.

If you are looking for a book that features the typically tattooed bad boy then you'll be surprised when you read Collision Course. This book isn't your average gritty book about hard core alpha males covered in ink and full of attitude. Oh, don't get me wrong, this book has all that but there is so much more to the men who inhabit the pages!
Book four is about Lou. Lou turns the heads of women no matter where he goes – well….most women. You see, Lou has a problem catching the eye of one Ms. Joey Reeves. She goes out of her way to steer clear of Lou and he just doesn’t understand why. Well, Joey has her own reasons from avoided the tattooed Adonis trying to slide his way into her life. She’s not looking for short term – actually, she’s not sure she’s looking for anything right now. Joey isn’t the only person she has to consider.
While Joey and Lou are wonderful characters full of vibrant personality, I didn’t enjoy their storyline as much I as did the first three books. Part of it was some of Lou’s approaches/verbal exchanges with Joey. They weren’t altogether put-offish but didn’t seem like they were appropriate for someone who lived with a family full of women. I’m not a prude or even close to being a saint (let’s just say that Friday and food are my second and third favorite F words) but his mannerisms, demeaner, and vocab were a bit inappropriate at times. Don’t get me wrong, I love Lou and Joey but there was just something that rubbed me the wrong way during parts of the book.
Joey is a strong woman who has put up with a lot of condescension from her parents – the main people on this earth that are supposed to love, support, and protect her. Instead they put her down, don’t appreciate her, and remind her of what she could be and should be doing right now. They have taken her accidental pregnancy and tortured her with it for the past nine years. Joey, on the other hand, has fought tooth and nail to build a life for her and her child.
Even though I had issues with some of the way Lou’s character was written, this book was still worth the read. Lou is a supportive person and takes care of all the women in family. He knows how to treat people, not just women, and he’s a hard worker. His story is engaging and kept me captivated. The plot was well thought out and organized. The story was perfectly paced; not too fast or too slow.
I was provided a copy of this book to read.

The long awaited finale has arrived as the final Bad boy in the body shop finds love with the woman who is his perfect match, even if he never realized she was exactly what he was looking for. This long running series is one that has been spun from and is a spin-off series itself as Marie Harte has intertwined her many series and characters to give her readers a truly unique experience if they follow all her writing. I have been a particular fan of this series, but who can resist seeing tattooed mechanics with dirty mouths and even dirtier minds. Lou comes from a huge family of women, so he is no stranger to the female psyche and he knows just what he wants from the opposite sex, which is a no-strings fun time with a woman that will walk away just as freely when they end their relationship. Joey has paid for a mistake she made at fifteen for a long time, though her son might be a mistake to others but he is her greatest joy and her greatest motivation to better her life. When she meets Lou she knows he is trouble, but he is irresistible to her, and she soon finds herself giving in to the sexual pull she feels for him. Lou is having a wonderful time with Joey, even though he feels differently about her from the beginning, and when he learns about the part of her life she has been keeping separate from him he begins to wonder if they can be together. I loved seeing Lou lose his heart finally and come to terms with his own hang-ups with his past in order to find a way to open up to Joey and have a future. I never imagined just how many fears he hid behind his bravado or how much responsibility he takes on his shoulders for his family. Joey has her own bit of growing to do and when she finally decides she has paid enough for her “mistake”, the weight that has held her down so long is finally released, allowing for her to move on with her life and truly live it for the first time. Joey and Lou might not seem immediately made for one another but you see more and more that they truly are meant for each other, which is more important than any of their superficial expectations. The heat these two generated could have caused an explosion that would have burned down the entire town, but luckily the underlying warmth of love was always there to allow the fires to be banked and sustained. While Lou was the last of the Body shop guys to fall, I think there might just be another spin off coming or at least some side characters that have been introduced that might get their own stories and I am SERIOUSLY looking forward to that. Thanks for another adventure in love, drama, and mayhem, Marie.

Lou. Just Lou. I mean, Joey was awesome too, but he's just about perfect. This story was definitely one of my favorite in the series! I seriously need Heller's book ASAP!

I've read quite a few of Marie Harte's books and this one was good but not fantastic. It took me a while to get through it. I love the guys in the garage and their banter. The relationship between the two main characters felt strained and I never understood why she didn't tell Lou immediately about her son.

this author is hit or miss for me and this book was a miss. it just seemed very disjointed. on paper it seems like a good match but the way the hero and heroine interacted with each other was just meh. i had read some of her other series but its hard to keep all the characters straight when they all start overlapping

Ever since the first book in Marie Harte’s Body Shop Bad Boys series I’ve been waiting for this hero’s story; he’s intrigued me with his voice of wisdom, his knowledge of women (given he’s got about 30 female relatives), and the way he sees the good in everyone. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this story and I was hoping I hadn’t built him up so much that I would be disappointed in his book and I’m proud to report that wasn’t the case. Collision Course was compelling, entertaining, and utterly sexy but most of all I loved that this big, burly man was taken down by a woman who made him realize the rules he’d made for himself didn’t matter when love hits you over the head.
Lou Cortez, the Latin lover, the calm in the storm, Mr. Large and in charge, and one hell of a mechanic and an even better custom paint guy can’t get florist Josephine “Joey” Reeves out of his head since he spoke to her several months ago when she came to the garage to meet with his boss about her wedding flowers. Months later she’s still in there and Lou decides it is time to take manners into his hands and hopefully get his hands on her.
I loved watching Lou get thrown for a loop by Joey mainly because he has always been so smooth and had such fantastic advice for his friends when they hit a rough patch with their girlfriends. I kind of liked they had a fundamental difference although Lou didn’t know it and it was interesting to watch him come to terms with it. I admired Joey for working hard to make a better life for herself and her son especially given how young she was when she had him and while she had some assistance from her parents it came with a price that had taken its toll on her self-worth, so I appreciated seeing that change during this book.
Normally I don’t say a whole lot about the sexy times in a book, but I’m going to make an exception for this one. Holy hotness this book was scorching hot, this couple could not get enough of one another and given they had limited time together they made the most of it every damn time. Ms. Harte never disappoints in this area and even she took it up a notch in this book.
Both Lou and Joey have some hang ups and some baggage that hinders them at times, but that’s what makes these books feel so real and it is something I appreciate greatly about this author. Their relationship was far from easy, but that made the reward of getting it right that much sweeter.
Filled with ups and downs, a whole lot of body shop ribbing, good friends, intrusive but well meaning family, and two people who made each other better, I loved Collision Course!

Seriously, I loved this story so much! I have loved this series from book one. Joey and Lou are two of my favorite characters. They go so well together. You definitely root for them in this book. I recommend this book and series to everyone. I received this ARC book in exchange for an honest review from Netgalley.

Who wouldn't want a hot latin mechanic who can whisper sexy spanish in your ear? Joey Reeves is who. She kept Lou chasing after her for month, making him a giant joke among his friends. Who is laughing now that he final caught her and is making the most of his flower girl. Lou whole family has been on his case to settle down and find someone, I loved his Abuela. Can a man who feels like he has raised a family his younger sisters and doesn't want any kids fall in love with a woman who as a young son.
Harte continues to write an well developed Body Shop Bad Boys series.

Good read, poor Joey had a tough time she deserved to have good things happen for her and Lou was exactly the time of guy she deserved.

A perfect addition to Marie Harte's Body Shop Bad Boys series!

Hmm, I like Marie Harte's stories in general. This one was ok. It's the first of this series I've read and I'm now curious about it.
I love Lou. He's great and totally into Joey. Joey, well, I question her choice to keep Brandon a secret from Lou. Ok not a secret but not tell him. That's my beef with her. Her circumstances made her think that way so I don't blame her and it's great Lou got her to see differently. Other than that I bet they look like a good looking couple.
Felix is a surprise as is Stella. Maybe a story there but Lou has interesting friends too.
Thank you Netgalley and publisher for the copy.

Collision Course by Marie Harte is the fourth book in her Body Shop Bad Boys series. This series basically follows a group of friends who are mechanics. I have been following this series from the start so I was looking forward to reading Collision Course. This is what I'm assuming the last book in the series and Lou's book was quite an anticipated one for me. While the book did not completely meet my expectations, it was still a good one.
Let's start with Lou. Lou is a mechanic but he is also an artist. He does paint jobs and artwork on various vehicles along with being a mechanic. Lou has always had a way with the ladies and after being one of the few males in his family taking care of his multiple sisters and female cousins he doesn't want to be tied down by relationships. When Lou meets Joey though things change.
Joey was a sweet girl. She was a florist who had worked hard to get where she was while taking care of her son. She got pregnant at a very young age and that made her parents very judgemental of her decisions and choices. Joey was definitely hesitant when it came to Lou. She liked him but she would always put her son before any relationships.
Lou and Joey had chemistry. Lou did not want to be tied down by relationships and Joey had her son to take care of. But they could not stay away from each other. I liked Joey and Lou in the beginning but later on in the book Lou's attitude towards Joey's son and relationships go annoying. The whole commitment phobic plot can only go so far without any genuine reasons.
We also get to meet all the previous couples and that was fun to see. This series follows a bunch of
guys whose friendship and bromance is great to see. I think there were also hints thrown in for some future couples and books so I wouldn't be surprised if we got another spin off series. If you enjoy contemporary romances you should definitely give this series a try.
*Note: A copy of this book was provided by the author/publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. We thank them.

I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book.
Lou and Joey are by no means perfect. Joey has had a ruff life... proving herself to her family and friends that one "bad" decision made years ago has turned out to be the best thing she has ever done in her life. Lou's honesty was his best and worst quality to me. He told Joey how he felt whether it was good or bad... he let you know up front how he felt.
What I loved most about this book was that it was not a cookie cutter romance. There were real emotions of fear, indecisions, mistakes, forgiveness and love.
Overall this book was really good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I felt like I wanted Joey to not have to beg for love. I wanted for her and others to realize that she deserved love...she was worthy of love!

4 1/2 STARS!
Sexy, sinful and sweet all rolled into one! With the latest book in her Body Shop Bad Boys series, Marie Harte brings us Lou's story. He's always been the smooth-talking pretty boy around the garage who gets women without even trying, so it's interesting to watch him find a woman the he's attracted to who won't give him the time of day! This entire series has been a really fun interaction of a group of tough-guy friends/co-workers who are more like family. The characters were both very easy to like, we were drawn into their sexual tension from the start and the surprises we uncovered along the way made for an intriguingly sweet read!
Mechanic Lou Cortez enjoys life. He has a huge close-knit family that he adores, he not only has the job here at the shop with the boys, but he also gets to enjoy putting his creative side to work in his side job. When a beautiful woman walked into the shop a few months ago, he was intrigued ... but she wouldn't even look at him. What's up with that? Women always love him!
Florist Josephine Reeves obviously noticed Lou, but she has better things to do in life than fall at the feet of a man who goes through women like water. He doesn't give up though, and when happenstance brings him into the flower shop while she's working, she finds herself giving in and actually agreeing to coffee. She can't deny that he's attractive, and he turns her knees weak with just one steamy look ... but she has a lot counting on her with a whole other side of her life that he knows nothing about. Can she really give in to simple lust and have a fling without it ruining her plans?

This is book 5 in the series and it is about Lou another mechanic in the garage. You still get a little from some of the other characters. Now Lou is finding himself attracted to Joey a single mom with a great young boy. Both of them Joey and Lou find that they are becoming more attracted to one another and she must find a way to tell Lou about her son, but Lou does not want to be a parent and has a rule about dating single women. With all of the women in his life I was expecting him to be a little more open but when he finds out and actually helps her. She walks away when he tells her he does not like dating single moms. Now it is on him and he feels like crap but he must find a way to overcome his feelings. Or come up with a way to accept and apologize in a big way. Read this story and find out what he does. A good book.
