Adam is the photographer who will take any risk to get the perfect picture and that is how his latest escapade has landed him in the hospital under the care of Alex his sexy nurse.

Alex has everything money can buy however due to a tragic incident ten years ago she has spent every day since then trying to make amends to her mother for something that wasn’t her fault.

From the moment he met Alex his feelings for her were something he had never felt before and he knew that they belonged together. Alex has spent years trying to please her parents and she knows that Adam is not what they had planned for her but the draw to him is too strong to deny. When they are torn apart Adam will do whatever is necessary to prove to Alex that they are soulmates but will she agree?

I loved how protective and loyal Adam was and the connection and chemistry between them was intense! If you like a story about insta-love then this is the one for you. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Review ** spoiler alert ** *Thank you NetGalley for the ARC

I think the writing is pretty decent in this book, but Ally's decisions and general lack of emotional stability, coupled with the even more unbelievable accident towards the end, make it hard for me to like this story. The idea of a bad-boy/good-girl romance is always appealing, but these 2 characters had too much separating them to be believable. I liked that Adam was a bad-boy who could express his emotions (at times it made me nauseous). Ally was an unlikeable basket case. Seriously, a smart girl like her with at least 1 quality friend would be putting up with her mother and stepfather's nonsense for so long? She was so damaged by her past (they both had trials in their pasts that could rival Job's! a little over the top!) I doubt she could conjure up much confidence to have all the sex and romance she shares with Adam during the first half of the book. She starts making strides towards independence then freaks out because his phone call gets cut off. I didn't buy it. Don't get me started on the memory loss issue...it was ridiculously corny. I read some other reviews and maybe I'm just too old now for these younger couples--I seem to be the only one with problems with the characters and the storyline.

So this is the first book that I have read by this author and I am absolutely in love with it, the characters Alex & Adam & the author! This book sucked me in and capture my heart and soul! Its captivating, sweet, swooning, sexy, angsty & some parts/characters infuriating. This will hit all the feelers and more! Absolutely beautifully written and could not or want to put it down.

Wow! My heart I so full right now! What an amazing story!

Adam and Ally’s journey is sure to steal your heart. I could not put this story down.

The writing is fantastic! The pacing, the descriptions, the turns of events, the emotions! It’s exquisite! You feel everything Adam and Ally are experiencing and feeling; the intensity of their connection, the building of their feelings. And then the real cyclone of emotions begins! And oh man, it wraps you up and doesn’t let go! You don’t need details of the story, you just need to read it and experience it for all its passion and beauty.

This story will capture your heart from the start and not let go. It’s heart, sincerity, and beauty will leave a smile on your face and your heart full. A truly heartwarming story that will stay with you long after you’ve finished. I absolutely loved it!

There wasn't a minute of this book that I didn't enjoy. From the minute you meet Adam and Ally you can sense the connection they have. He is a man that takes risks and she has been controlled her entire life.
When his job takes him away from her and her parents get her alone, will they be able to overcome her family and their influence? Can Adam get his life back when a tragedy occurs? Will Ally be strong enough to overcome everything she needs to overcome in order to find her happiness?
Pick up My Image of You and you will find a gripping page turner that well have you going that everything will turn out well for Ally and Adam! I received an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

I jokingly took to Twitter and called this book The Book That Couldn't Keep Me Entertained During Hurricane Irma. Only it wasn't really a joke and I was really in the middle of Hurricane Irma here in Southwest Florida.

I was looking for a light and fluffy romance to keep my mind off hurricane force winds and possible destruction and quickly discovered this wasn't it.

The main character and narrator, Adam Kincaid, starts out as a cool and collected photographer. In the first few pages you think he's an okay kind of guy. But when Adam is injured and taken to the hospital, you find out he's kind of a tool.

First off, Adam knows he's good looking. He uses it to his advantage with Alex as he tries to charm her into believing he isn't really that injured. While this whole thing was meant to be cute and flirty, to me it was just a little ridiculous...and this is within the first few chapters.

Alex is an okay character, but she absolutely lets Adam just take over her. I didn't feel that it was done in any sort of romantic way. The first thing that bothered me about it was that he insisted calling her Ally, even though she told him repeatedly it wasn't her name. Eventually you learn that her "mother didn't like nicknames", but that just didn't sit well with me.

Adam, as a character, is significantly older than Alex and is clearly a dominate male. While he spends most of the book telling Alex how brave and strong she is, he spends the rest of it fighting her battles, literally and figuratively.

I didn't come to care about either of these characters. It felt like it was fight after fight with too many big dramatic events thrown in. (Amnesia? C'mon.)

*A copy of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley and I'm freely giving my honest review.*

When Adam wakes up in the hospital and there's a bossy little nurse taking care of him he thinks she's the most wonderful person he ever laid eyes on. Ally is a confident bossy nurse at work but she's not the same confident person in private. Adam is lost in this wonderful girl and will stop at nothing to get her to be his.

This was perhaps one of the greatest love stories I've read in awhile, so sweet and tender and very intense. I absolutely love the build up in this story, it was like a fairytale come true.

Normally I mostly enjoy when a book is written from both main characters POV but I forgot it entirely when reading this story because there's so much emotions I got lost in the book. Adam is now my new book boyfriend 💜 all of the ways he can prove he loves someone is just amazing. Ally is a lucky girl and she sure deserves it.

Ally has had a loveless childhood and thanks to a few close people she's managed to be what she wants despite her parents cruelty. Adam has had his challenges too but he knows love is unconditional.

The writing style is easygoing and fun with a lot of dialogues both between characters and internal from Adam. At the end of the book we also got some of Ally's POV and that was great but I could easily lived with only Adam's POV, that's how good it was.

In my opinion what makes this book so good is all the little things like tattoos, gifts and notes......just things the couple do for each other. And the love scenes; so emotional and hot 🔥!

When I feel like I know the characters and I disappear in to the story it's a good sign, this book was read on a Sunday (all day) it was long in to the night when I finished. Exhausted but happy about a book that made me forget everything thin else, that's how a book should be in my opinion🤓📚😭😍😳😴

I could go on and on about this book but the I would reveal the whole book, I just hope people will read it and se for themselves what a diamond 💎 of a book this is.

Ps: Prepare to cry, so have your Kleenex ready.

Oh my heart is bursting, I LOVED Adam and Ally’s heartfelt story!

Both Allie and Adam were such a breath of fresh air – they were both so confident and open and honest. No games, no guessing, just laying it all out there. I was in love. It started as soon as they met and only got better. There was a spark from the get-go, and it was done right. If you are a romantic at heart, you will love, love, love this. It’s a story that is the journey of their relationship, and how it grew.

The backstory with Allie was really well done. Sometimes these stories can be so typical, but this one felt like it was so very real, which in turn made me so invested and I could not stop turning the pages. It’s magical when that happens.

So while I loved this, I have to be a little nit-picky here. The reason I cannot give this five stars is because of one incident towards the end of the book. I have to say I kind of cringed with the direction the story took. It was cliché and just not believable. After how realistic everything else had felt to me, I just didn’t like it. There must’ve been another way for the characters to “get to the other side”. This wrench thrown into their happy relationship just didn’t work for me … there had to have been another way!

However, after “that” the ending was still divine, and I will always love Allie and Adam together. Ms. Moreland has a way with words that are effortless and she certainly was able to touch my heart. That is a hard thing to do, so I know this one is a gem. I can’t wait to read some of her other books.

Rec this? Yes! If you are a romantic at heart this is an absolute must for your TBR.

Happy reading!

Adam is injured when he falls while taking a risky shot with his camera. Despite his injury, he manages to spend the night in the hospital getting to know his attractive nurse better. Ally has some pretty heavy baggage she’s carried all of her life but her time with Adam lightens the load and helps her to see she is worthy of happiness and love. Together this couple face some extreme conflicts that tore my heart in two.

While I really enjoyed this book, so much of it is the author telling me about what happened instead of allowing me the opportunity to experience it. It was well written and didn’t get bogged down but there were times I just wanted to be able to walk in the characters shoes. There is plenty of light hearted humor and this couple have great chemistry together. Secondary characters don’t really shine too much but seem to be just a way to progress the story along without allowing the reader to connect with them in any way. The villains are certainly villainous and I totally understood why Ally struggled in the way she did, so those particular characters I must admit were well written.

Overall, this was a very nice read by an author I would gladly read again.

I was provided this advanced copy and this is my honest review.

Mostly the heroes POV although there is a few from the heroine
Safe
Possible trigger if you are sensitive to emotional neglect/abuse

3.75 – 4 stars .

I still didn't know the writing of the author, but as I read several positive reviews I decided to read the book and I can say that I liked.I don't know if I would call this book as of second chances, since he's only part of it would fit that definition, but it sure is an emotional journey for these characters. The book is told in the perspective of the male character mostly, and I liked this change and I thought it made perfect sense to this story.Had characters in this book if I could kill my hatred sized, but it only shows shows that the author did a great job.

My image if you It is a book that shows the strength of the love between these two characters: it is a romantic and emotional journey to read and certainly piqued curiosity for more books of this author.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

"A globe-trotting bad boy chases the one that got away in this addictive novel from the New York Times bestselling author of The Contract.
My name is Adam Kincaid, and I’m the best at what I do. After losing my parents, I decided to follow in their footsteps, and now I’m the most daring freelance photographer in the world.
Maybe some think I’m a loner, but I don’t care. All that matters is the shot: braving danger and devastation in search of a single image with the power to tell someone’s story. But as good as I am, accidents happen—and thank god for that, because it’s what leads me to her. . . .
Alexandra Robbins. My nurse. My savior.
With her fiery red hair and crystal-clear blue eyes, the camera loves her . . . and I have to have her. We soon find that we’re perfect together. We just fit, physically and emotionally. And yet something isn’t right. Something from her past is haunting her, and no matter what I do to help her break free, I lose her.
Today is the day I try to win her back. Not only do I need an explanation, I need her in my bed once again. I don’t just want a damn picture—I want her. Because what we have is a love that never fades away. . . ."

So I have been looking forward to reading this from the day I found out it was being released. As everyone knows I am a big fan of Melanie Moreland’s books so I was really excited to receive this ARC. One of my favourite things about Melanie’s books is that they have a strong, charismatic hero and this was no exception. I love Adam!!! He is strong, protective, loyal, compassionate and has amazing ink! What is not to love? The chemistry he had with Ally was great to read and seeing their relationship develop throughout the book was lovely. Ally is a strong woman who has been beaten down time and again. Haunted by her past, she is trying to move forward but constantly being pulled back. She meets Adam by chance and her life changes instantly. He sees her for who she really is and she can be her true self around him. He wants to set her free. Their relationship won’t be easy, with Adam’s job and Ally’s disapproving parents they always have obstacles to overcome. But they know they are meant for each other.

Where do I start? I loved Adam; his confidence, his passion, the way he loves with every fibre of his being. He is strong and charismatic, the perfect soulmate for Ally. She knows her life lacks something but feels it is what she deserves. She doesn’t realise what she has been missing until Adam appears in her life. Ally is kind, caring and beautiful. She has spent her whole life being told she isn’t good enough and has a hard time trusting Adam when he says she is.

I loved the character of Elena. She was brilliant at telling it how it is and putting everyone in their place. She has a wicked sense of humour and her and Adam create a lovely bond. Her scenes always made me giggle.
There were a couple of twists and turns that happened that I didn’t see coming, and I felt like I went through a range of different emotions with this one! I was exhausted by the time I finished it.

I was on edge as the book progressed and more obstacles were thrown at Adam and Ally but I still couldn’t put it down. I had to find out if they got the happily ever after that they both deserved. And you will have to read it to find out if they did.

Favourite Quotes:
“You are my home.”
“I promise you – the first time. Every time. You’ll know who you belong to.”
“No”, I growled, interrupting her. “You belong to me.”

Another wonderful read from Melanie Moreland. I definitely recommend this if you’re looking for a romantic read. Daniel from It Started With A Kiss has always been my favourite hero of Melanie’s, but Adam is giving him a run for his money!

My Image of You is released on Tuesday, make sure you get a copy.

4 second-chance-stars

Gorgeously romantic, sweet, sexy, dramatic and surprising, with a hero who is a huge big pile of swoon! *dreamy sigh*. This book begins with a man desperate to reconnect with the love of his life, so you have an idea going in how the story is going to play out. I’m always a sucker for a second-chance-romance, so I dove in all excited to see their love story and see Adam get his second chance, but I wasn’t expecting the intensity of it all, and I loved it!

Adam Kincaid is a daredevil photographer. He’s the guy called in to photograph storms, disasters and devastation. He loves his wild and itinerant lifestyle, and the freedom it affords him, but when a mishap on a job lands him in hospital, his whole life is about to change. With one look at his nurse, Alexandra, he is instantly smitten, feeling a connection unlike anything he’s ever experienced before, and he knows he needs to get to know her.

Alex’s life is full of complication. Raised in privilege and wealth, her relationship with her mother and step-father is toxic after a tragedy in her past which set the scene for a miserable, guilt-ridden adolescence. Nevertheless, she is expected to play the part of a society princess, keeping her mother happy and living under their strict control. And then along comes Adam. He’s a wild force, and he seems to like her for who she is rather than her bank account or what her position in society can get him. He is completely honest and open about his attraction to her, and she is powerless to resist him.

“You make me feel things I can’t explain … Want things I’ve never wanted before.”
“You hardly know me,” she whispered. “How could I affect you like that? How do you know you want all those things with me?”
I shook my head. “I only met you a couple of days ago, Ally, but I’ve been waiting for you all my life. Waiting for you to find me.”

This is such a gorgeous love story. Intense and full of feelings from the very beginning, there is lots of flirting, sweet moments, and tender touches. It’s fast moving, but Adam knows his heart, and he is wholly and soully devoted to his Ally from the start. He wants her, he wants a life with her and nothing is going to get in his way of making her his. But he’s not a ridiculous alpha about it – Adam is a total sweetheart, and he is understanding, patient and gentle with Ally and the build-up of their love story is beautifully done.

“We’re going to be amazing together. Whether you want me to take you hard, or make love to you in the slowest way possible, I am the right man for you.”
I dropped another kiss on her mouth. “When you’re ready, my girl. When you’re ready.”

And hot! So freaking hot. The sexy time is steamy with lots of emotion, which just makes it all the more intense, and reflective of the status of their relationship. They are happy, committed, passionate about each other and they fall in all-consuming, life-changing love.

“You’re everything to me, baby. Everything. I can’t imagine life without you anymore.
… “You’ll never have to.”

Oh Adam… he is such a gorgeously swoony romantic hero, and watching him pursue and fall for Ally was really beautiful. I loved his sweetness, his humour, his sense of fun and adventure and his absolute commitment to his girl. He is unwaveringly loyal, proud of her and his love for her, and his protectiveness was gorgeous to see.

She needed someone to protect her.
That someone was me.

And while I was happily enjoying all of that swoon, I knew what was coming and was sadly predicting how it was all going to end. There are a number of outside factors influencing Adam and Ally’s happiness, but I was still surprised by the unexpected turn of events that saw this couple torn apart. It’s emotional and it adds a really great twist to their inevitable reconnection, and I loved watching it all play out.

“I only need you.”
“You have me.”

I really enjoyed this book. The romance is beautiful – maybe a bit OTT for some, but there is enough dirty talk and sexy time to keep things from getting too sugary sweet - and the emotional aspects are really well written. Adam and Ally’s story was engaging, surprising, and swoony as all hell, with a gorgeous epilogue and a happy ending that left me smiling.

4 stars.

This story took me by surprise by being an excellent 5 star story that I read in just a few short hours.

Adam is a famous freelance photographer that lands himself in the ER and Alex as his nurse. He's immediately drawn to her and her to him. This is a great love story at it's best that is until her family's lies and deceit threatens their future.

I really loved these perfectly crafted characters that complemented this amazing love story. It's so addicting and captivating that I basically devoured it in a day. Beautifully written story with a great storyline that flowed well. It does have some intrigue too because I never knew what her family was up to. There is a twist in there that I never saw coming.

Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story.

I recently read over the fence and fell in love with this authors writing but she exceeded my expectations with my My Image of You. It is an absolutely perfect love story! I knew from the moment I started reading it that it was going to move me – I laughed, I cried and now I have a horrible book hangover because these characters will live with me forever. I adored Adam and Ally. Their story is heartbreaking at times but funny sexy sweet and so emotional. Their story touched me so deeply because it was so beautifully written. If you believe in soulmates like I do, you must read this book! Awesome 10 star read!

Adam and Ally. Their attraction was instant. Their chemistry was off the charts. Their road to happily ever after was complicated by so much baggage and people (evil awful people!). When they finally got there I cheered. How I loved these characters! So, so good!!

Oh man, you guys. Hold on to your hearts. This book felt like a feels-explosion. A bonafide, heartfelt, deeply romantic, old fashioned love story.

At least that’s how my heart would describe it to you. That is, after it recovers from the bumps and bruises incurred along the way. Because this is not always an easy story to read. My heart broke from Adam and Ally – more than once – and not in a pretty way. But oh my gosh, you guys – it was totally worth it. What a beautiful story of the power of love in the mind, body, and soul – and the propensity of the two people involved to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds in the name of true love.

It occurs to me that in my emotional state, I may be painting a picture here that may not be entirely accurate because while there is heavy emotion here, and my heart did break, it’s balanced against some light interactions, littered with humorous exchanges, and an underlying sweetness that is sort of trademark for Ms. Moreland. My Image of You is the whole package and the little bumps and bruises on my heart were completely worth it in the end.

I loved this story. I completely adored the fiercely protective Adam and the strong, kind Ally. There is definitely a fair amount of drama and angst contributing to this bumpy ride, but the love story – oof. It got me right in the feels you guys and my heart is so wrapped up in it that it may never let it go.

Fantastic book! It was emotional and sexy at the same time. Ally & Adam had some real curve balls thrown at them during the course of their relationship and worked hard to overcome them. I was taken along on their emotional journey as if I was there.

I really enjoyed this authors work before. Unfortunately My Image Of You did not click with me. I couldn't relate to the characters and lost interest at around 20%. Since I've loved many of her other books, I expected the same with this one. I was really disappointed that it didn't captivate me as much as I thought it would. I apologize for the DNF, it's an honor to be selected as a reviewer and I feel really bad for not finishing it.

Wow, I'm really not sure where to start or what I can say that hasn't already been said about My Image of You, once again Melanie Moreland has given us a beautifully written story that I'm sure everyone who reads it,will fall in love with it.
Adam and Ally, two damaged people meet in an emergency room where she is a nurse and he is a patient, the attraction is instant, the chemistry is sizzling but is the damage they both have to much of an obstacle or will it take two damaged souls to help heal each other.
Love never runs smoothly and this book took me on a emotional roller coaster, I was hooked from the moment I read the blurb and I ended up reading this amazing love story in one sitting. I feel in love with the characters that this author described so well and yes I cried but I also had some laughs along the way as I was taken on Adam and Ally's journey. I think really all that's left to say is please one click this brilliant read you won't be disappointed, it's one of my must reads of 2017
I really hope I have done this book justice
