Lucy Wheeler has re-evaluated her life as a single special education teacher living in her home town. Since the love of her life, Reverend Curtis Campbell has returned home she has decided she's tired of being the sweet easy going girl she was and aims her sights on rekindling their love. Short, sweet and a quick sit down to finish, I'd recommend this to everyone.

Sweet Girl Undone is a mixture of sweet and innocent versus modern day girl. Lucy is a virgin and innocent, but not completely unaware. Once you read the book, you will see what I mean – very forward thinking.

Curt is now the pastor of Lucy’s church, but they avoid each other due to their break up by text during their college days. Both Lucy and Curt seem to be unable to forget about the other. Lucy instigates a second chance with Curt but does not let him off completely. She wants answers for what happened in college.

Especially since this is a novella, their relationship moves quickly, but not so much you do not get a good feel for how much they care about each other. Although Lucy and Curt get their HEA, there are some bumps in the journey. For a while, I did not like Curt's choices and what seemed like a man who took the cowards was out of the relationship. Took a while, but he finally got his act together. Lucy’s sweet nature does her credit with her forgiving heart, perfect for a pastor’s wife.

Denise Swanson brings together a creditable start for this series beginner packed in a novella. This is my first Swanson book, and I look forward to reading more of her work.

This was a good opening for the series but I have to say I liked the next book Good Girl Overboard much better. I loved Lucy, she was sweet and smart and loving. Curt made me crazy! Honestly his issues are what is wrong with so many ministerial marriages in the real world, his idea that he would have to put his parishioners before his wife is so toxic that is seriously bugged me. At the Christmas party I was hoping Lucy would dump his ass. Clarification comes and friends intervene and love is saved but it almost felt too late for me, I have to say Lucy was far more forgiving than I would ever be. But those are my issues and this is a well told story and I have a feeling that most people would enjoy this second chance at love story more than I did. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.

"Sweet Girl Undone" is a very cute, sweet novella that I really enjoyed. Lucy is small town, she is a very nice person who is a special education teacher in town. Trouble is, she doesn't have good luck with men. She dated Curt, the minister in town, during college but he dumped her via text with no explanation. Four years later, he barely speaks to her and her feelings are still hurt.
Lucy brazenly decides she is fed up with being alone, her BFF points out that maybe Curt is still her guy and she asks him out. She is shocked when he shows up for their date.
Things get hot and heavy for them pretty quick. Lucy is falling in love, but knows their relationship may have an expiration date, he is going to work away from town on a mission for a year. Are her and Curt built to last?
Very sweet and cute small-town novella, I really enjoyed it and fans of romance will like it too.
