I struggled a lot with this book. The plot line was refreshing, I've read plenty of books about abuse, but not many on that point of view, so it was diffeRent than what I usually read. The problem was the story was told too fast. There wasn't time for me to relate to the characters or the story.

There was so much emotion to be explored in a story like this, but unfortunately I think the author missed it. The writing wasn't bad, but it also wasn't there either. Things kept happening so fast, without any continuity.

A story like this has immense potential to be an amazing angst read and I feel like that opportunity was lost.

I really liked the prologue, so I thought the rest of the book would follow, byt unfortunately that didn't happen. Then things started happening without warning and no real past background. I understand the story was being told as it went, but it needed more development from one scene to the other.

The super fast pace led to some cheesy lines and the insta-love didn't help me in connecting with the characters.

Overall, the idea of the book was good, but to me the execution was lacking, there was a lot left to be desired.

This is an emotional read. It deals with violent abuse and nightmare drama. Cy bullied Eve throughout high school. On the surface, there was no explanation other than he was a world class a**. Underneath, we find out why he was abusive towards her. The story is sad and it will make the reader emotional when things are revealed. I enjoyed the story and Cy's journey. The relationship between him and Eve went really fast. One day they were enemies, then barely speaking and finally to lovers. Once Eve found out the cause of Cy's mean behaviour, she instantly forgave him and tried everything she could to support and save him. She grew into a strong woman who fought for those she loved. You find yourself rooting for both characters and destruction for those who hurt them. The story is full of angst and drama.

This story is full of heartbreak but there is always a light in the darkness, you just have to find it. There is a good sense of character development with Cy who starts off as a bullying jerk, a broken young man, and finally develops into someone not quite whole but redeemed none the less. The sexual abuse in this story was quite devastating to read and hit close to home in many ways. Unfortunately, this type of abuse happens way to often and goes unnoticed and unpunished. The author did a great job of showing how this type of trauma can negatively affect your life on so many levels but speaking out and getting help can save your sanity. The love story of Cy and Eve at first seemed a bit contrived being that he bullied her so terribly in high school and she was able to get past it so easily. Bullying can leave very deep scars behind so I felt like we should have seen a little bit more resistance from Evie. As I read on, the love story did began to seem more genuine and the love, patience, and support that Evie bestowed upon Cy makes her a saint in my book. It was a very heartfelt story and if you can stomach some of the graphic sexual abuse "scenes" then it is definitely worth the read. There was a good amount of great sex between Cy and Evie to balance it out.

Where I End was an okay read for me. This story focuses on Eve, Cy, Cy's mom Clarissa and his step-dad Everett. Growing up Cy has experience something no child/teenager should experience and it's finally taken its toll. His mom doesn't and haven't believe him in all the years he has told her and she has done nothing to change the situation and he's told no one else. Eve is sweet, caring and is the target of Cy's bullying throughout high school. Things take a turn when Cy's about to do something Eve can't let happen when she's around and that changes things for both of them. Eventually, Cy has to lean on someone but also admit what he really feels.
I thought Eve excuses for what Cy put her through wasn't okay. He basically bullied her and that wasn't okay in any way; in what world is bullying okay? It was almost as if what happened to him gave him an excuse to be a douche to her. I think that what Cy went through should have made him more humble. Someone hurt him so he had the right to hurt someone else? No. I don't care if it was only emotionally. There was no excuse in the way he treated her. No matter how long ago it was. Yes, you forgive but you don't brush it off as if it didn't mean anything. I hated his mom for not believing him and I hated Everett even more. I really liked Parker; he was a great friend and supporter. Don't get me wrong I loved Eve, but I hated how she brushed things off.
I finished the book in one sitting because the author wrote it in a way that really captured my attention and she honestly left me wanting more. She gave us a sweet ending. However, as you can see there were things I liked and disliked about the story, but to be honest it felt depressing when in the beginning it was light and fun. I didn't feel that deep connection between the Eve and Cy I was looking for. There definitely wasn't any lack of action in this book and this story never slowed once. The writing was perfect: the storyline and the flow of the story. It's the characters actions that made this story and okay read. However, I would read more books from this author simply because she wrote the story in a way that I didn't want to put it down or stop reading.
