Wow, Book 7 definitely comes at you. I think i read this book the quickest and loved all the twists and turns. There were so many favourite parts, and i know there are open doors that will stay open until we reach the end of the series. Suspense is killing me. But so glad i came upon Helen Hardt's books. A definite read with this series.

The title Shattered is very appropriate for this newest installment of Helen Hardt's the Steel Brothers Saga, as it left ME shattered after reading it. Just when I think Helen has done an awesome job with the other 6 installments of this saga, she completely blows my mind by continuing to surprise me. This is the story of the youngest and most handsome Steel brother Ryan. We have not heard too much from him in the previous books, but we certainly get to know him in this one. His 2 older brothers are both having a destination wedding, and Ryan meets Ruby who was invited to the wedding and sparks fly immediately. Helen blends the perfect mix of romance and intrigue/mystery in these books, that had me drop mouthed at the end of the book. I highly recommend this series....

I'm truly a fan of this series. The author writes beautifully and captivates you pretty much from page one. I don't know many authors still capable of doing this book after book. Would highly recommend.

Shattered is Book 7 in the Steel Brothers Saga. Even though this is the first book that I have read in this series, the author has done such a really good job telling this story that I wasn’t lost to much.

This book will hook you from the very beginning and keep you flipping the pages to see what will happen next. Ryan is the youngest of the Steel brothers and Ruby is a detective who wants to close a painful chapter to her life by capturing her convict of a father. She is extremely confident in her job, but when it comes to men she loses that confidence. When it comes to Ruby, Ryan is so sweet and patient with her and has set his sights on her.

This book does end with a cliffhanger, so I will definitely have to read book 8. More than that, I will go back and read the other books in this series first and then read the last book. I have to get a look at the other Steel Brothers.

Ruby has an awful background and has dedicated her life to finding answers as to what and exactly who her father was. Ryan has learned to live with the guilt he experiences after narrowly escaping a horrifying situation that his brother had to endure. When these two meet during the double wedding of Ryan’s brothers, they are immediately drawn to each other.

I loved the way this relationship developed and was elated to watch Ruby begin to come out of her frightened shell. Ryan was the perfect man to do it and he did an excellent job of showing how beautiful and desirable Ruby truly was, inside and out. He was a strong protective hero and he only wanted to do what was best for her.

This book is full of questions and mystery and I really loved every moment of it. I was invested the entire time and hated when I had to set it aside for little things like work. While it can be read as a standalone, I think it would have been better to read the previous books. This was definitely moving into five star territory until I got to the end and it came to a screeching halt on a huge cliffhanger. I hate cliffhangers! However, I love Ruby and Ryan so I will definitely be picking up the next book.

In one word BRILLIANT!!! It left me on the edge of my seat. The twists and turns in the book were perfectly timed I love when an author makes me feel like I am all over the place. I loved the writing and the characters were so easy to relate to. That being said Ryan (swoon) is completely shattered and I need to know more. I crave more. There are so many questions that I need answers for. I am so intrigued and can’t wait to read the next book in the series to see how this all comes together.

I seriously need a new rating system for Helen Hardt's books!!! 5 stars are nowhere near what she deserves.

I have read all of the books in this series and even though Helen is on book 7, she once again doesn't disappoint with giving a phenomenal story. Like the rest, I devoured this book in a short amount of time, I just couldn't stop reading it.

Shattered is the 7th book in the Steel Brother Series but it is book 1 of Ryan's story. So although you could possibly jump in at this book I HIGHLY recommend reading all 7 of them. You will have not only a better understanding of the characters but also how they have gotten this far.

Hardt like all the others continues to give us the mystery and suspense that surrounds the Steel brothers. The plot thickens in Shattered and although we do get some answers, Helen Hardt will have you falling out of your chair when you read the last few sentences of this book. (At least I did)

Helen Hardt's writing is captivating and her twists just keep getting better and better each book. I can't wait to see how every thing unfolds in the remaining books.

'Shattered' by Helen Hardt is Book Seven in "The Steel Brothers Saga". This book does start Ryan and Ruby's story and does leave you going into book eight. This can be a standalone book but I have only read the first book so far and I truly think I would have enjoyed it better if I read the books in order. In addition the is a somewhat dark romance so you may find a few trigger issues. Ruby is a hardworking detective/cop who is friends with Melanie. Melanie has invited Ruby to Jamaica to be apart of her wedding to Jonah Steel. This is to be a double wedding so Talon Steel and Jade are getting married too. Ryan Steel is the little brother of the Steel family who has plans to have fun on this trip. When Ryan first sees Ruby he doesn't think to much on her other than she is 'mousy' looking. Ruby doesn't do vacations or trips so at first she was going to turn this trip down but felt she should go since Melanie was her only friends (and not a close one at that). Ruby has been working to find and bring to justice Theodore Mathias. Theodore Mathias is actually her father who tried to rape her when she was young. Theodore Mathias was also had a few other people he was involved with that were evil and did awful things. One of them was to abductor Talon Steel with she was 10 years old and hurt her. But all are gone now except for her father who she is thinks maybe on this trip she can get some more answers in finding him. Ryan too wants to bring that man to justice for what he did to the Steel family. There is not hard feelings with Ruby as they know she couldn't help what her father did when she was little.
But this trips brings more reason for Ryan to find Theodore Mathias than just his family.
I am in Love with this story and now I just have to go an read the other books.

This book will leave you exactly as the name says….SHATTERTED! This series will draw you in from book one and leave you wanting more as each book ends. Helen Hardt knows how to weave you into the Steel family and make you apart of the fame and fortune, heartache, heartbreak and in the end love.
More family secrets are revealed in this book. In this book, you get a look at Ryan and Ruby. Ryan is charming and sexy in his own right. Ruby is running from a past that makes her vulnerable yet scared. This book will demand your attention until the end. Pick up a copy today and dive right on in to the Temptation Saga. This is book 7 in a series and I do advise to read them in order.

This book blew my mind. The twists and turns you just don't expect, happen.
Great story and wonderful writing. After reading this book I need to go back and catch up with the ones I missed. Had no problem reading this as a standalone but it would be better to have read the rest of the books in order. And the ending, WOW, can't wait for the next one!!

The Steel brothers, Talon, Jonah and Ryan along with their sister, Marjorie are headed to a beautiful beach location in Jamaica for the wedding of Talon and Jade and Jonah and Melanie. Melanie has asked her friend Ruby to stand up with her when she marries. While at the island Ruby and Ryan start a friendship that leads to something more and they want to see where it will lead once home again.

This is a very involved story as the reader really should read the other books in this series to get the full story although the author does a pretty good job at adding details in this book to help the reader be up to speed. As a child Talon was kidnapped, tortured and raped by three men one of which was Ruby’s father, and the Steel kids’ half uncle and somehow their dead father was involved. The story between Ryan and Ruby is very sweet as Ryan helps Ruby get over her very real fear of men. He takes her from being so fearful to confident which was really romantic. Once back home Ruby is still trying to find her father, who is pure evil and then some other information comes to light that almost destroys Ryan but Ruby helps with this somewhat. As stated this is a very involved story but a well written and interesting plot that makes me want to go read the first six books in this series. This is the first and only book by this author I’ve read. From what I can determine she writes books with lots of evil and pain in them but strong heroes who come out on the other side better and get their happy ever after. I did enjoy this story and having said that I strongly dislike cliffhangers and would have probably not read this book had I known it would end that way. I received an ARC from Netgalley for an honest review.

I need to use my words now but HOLY MOLY!! Just when you think that Helen Hardt couldn't possibly make the Steel Brothers Saga more intriguing than it already was, you get Shattered, literally. This 7th book of the Saga focuses on Ryan Steel, the youngest brother. He has been shielded for the most part from everything that has been going on with Talon and Jonah because (1) it was high wine making season and (2) his big brothers didn't want him to have to endure what they had to deal with.

Ruby has absolutely no clue what to do with someone like Ryan. She has pretty much sworn off men her whole life, hiding herself in plain view. Her father is a monster and she fears what may happen next. When the two are thrust together for a wedding in Jamaica, Ryan sees something that intrigues him. Does Ruby have it in her to allow Ryan into her life?

But Ryan has his own demons and these will soon come a head once a major secret of his past is revealed. Will Ruby, who has so many demons of her own to deal with, be able to help Ryan come to terms with the secrets and between the two of them finally put an end to all the madness that is still pouring forth into all of the Steel's lives.

I had a lump in my throat during most of this book just waiting for the shoe to drop because let's face it...that is what Helen Hardt is really GREAT at doing with this series. Each story builds on all the others, adding dimension, intrigue and a hell of a lot of suspense. This story ends with a humdinger of a cliff hanger and I am completely twisted up (see what I did there LOL) inside knowing I have to wait awhile to get the "rest of the story".

I love this series! This is Ryan's book and it is full of surprises. Ryan and Ruby hit it off while gone on the wedding getaway. This whole series has kept me on the edge with the drama and mystery Ms. Hardt has given us. This book was by far just as good as the start of the series and I like now where getting some answers, but of course new questions spring up in this book to keep you guessing. Can not wait for the next book to come out. Honest review in exchange for ARC.

Shattered is an intense fast-paced continuation of the Steel Brothers saga focusing on the youngest, Ryan. From the first page to the last, I simply couldn't put this book down. In true Helen Hardt fashion, the story is expertly woven to keep the reader on the edge of their seat as they follow every twist and turn and surprise. I love the relationship between Ryan and Ruby and how they discover each other without really looking. By the time I got to the end my heart was racing. December is TOO far away! This is NOT a stand alone and the series should be read in order.
