From the start I have loved the Mallory family series of books. This book, while I found it a little slow to get into it got better and better as you got further into the book. Jack is an extremely strong character but I believe she has met her match in her captor. As usual all of the family relationships in the Mallory family are entertaining to say the least, from her father, brother and mother, plus aunts, uncles and cousins "Jack" is protected and loved, yet she manages to get herself in trouble yet again. It is interesting to see how her captor becomes more and more captivated by her while at the same time she becomes less and less able to resist him and the pull he has on her. As usual a very enjoyable read from Ms. Lindsey and another great Mallory family read!!!

I could not finish this book. I realized there is a common thread of violence in Johanna Lindsey's books. Also James Mallory is the most annoying character ever.

It's been a while since I've read a book from The Malory series, and Beautiful Tempest was a great reminder why I enjoyed it so much. The stories were always packed with drama and the female leads were always essential to the action with the men. Wonderful stories and with Beautiful Tempest again we are treated to heart pounding suspense, kidnapping, Pirates and feisty females.
It was great to catch up with past characters and the adventure and romance of the story was just a good as ever. A real page turner which had me hooked from start to finish. I highly recommend it!
