Beautiful.. romantic. Jeannie Moon's writing had me falling in love with the story at the prologue and captured my heart the entire read.

This was my first Jeannie Moon read and I just have to say what have I been doing that I haven't paid attention to this author before. Moon's writing is absolutely romantic. From Lucy and Caleb's love story, establishing of Compass Cove and the modern day finding your true north there wasn't a single moment of this book that I didn't love.

Mia is a strong and determined woman who is taking the world on despite the tragedies she has faced. The most epic of those is the treatment she receives from a self-absorbed mother who constantly belittles Mia. Mia has taken on the responsibility of raising her sister's son and shelved the life she had planned for herself. While she would never want to be anywhere but with Ben Mia still has a sense of longing for the person or something she knows is missing in her new life. Returning home to live with her grandmother and raise Ben in a small, tight knit community, Mia finds what she knew she wanted and needed all along- a family given to her in the community of Compass Cove.

Adam was a big time NFL quarterback until he no longer was due to his love of the spotlight and all the traps fame afforded him. When an accident ends his pro football career Adam heads home to Compass Cove to the people and community who have always supported him and loved him no matter what.

Mia and Adam's romance is inevitable and as seen by most of the older residents of Compass Cove as magnetic and meant to be as Lucy and Caleb. The build up and let down then crescendo of their relationship was written beautifully. Adam gives to Mia everything she ever needed and more. The way he handles her mother is perfect. Mia gives to Adam everything he didn't know he was looking for yet everything he knows he must have with her. Now it's not all sunshine and roses but isn't that what makes a love story perfect- the imperfections that you polish to make you each perfect for one another.

Absolutely loved this first book in the Compass Cove story and CANNOT wait for the other books. So many characters are introduced that are possibilities for follow-up stories and am anxious to know which ones Jeannie Moon gifts us with next.

Sweet baby Jesus, I LOVE this book!! Finally, a heroine who is doing everything she can to create a wonderful new life for her nephew...without being a hyper-independent martyr. I've had enough of those to last a lifetime! Mia is like a modern day mixture of Mary Poppins and Nanny McPhee (lol, without the wart and unibrow!) Ben is loved and nurtured by her protectiveness, but not smothered by Mia's fears, like getting hurt playing sports. Her willingness to let him hang out with Adam, the so-not-her-type jock, demonstrated to me that although she might not have given birth to Ben, she's his mom in every way that counts. Mom's sacrifice their wants for those of their children.
Adam is a charming rogue with a little bit (!) of a history where women are concerned (oh, that ex! Even her name was snooty!) but he's instantly drawn to Mia as well as Ben. He's the perfect example of that guy who the reader instantly falls in love with but he's unfairly judged by both himself and others.
Thrown in a cast of fun and quirky characters (Nana!) and an evil queen (Mia's mom) and you have a beautiful story of love, sacrifice and redemption. I can't wait to visit Compass Cove again. 5 very enthusiastic stars!

I received an ARC from Netgalley and the publisher. All gushing thoughts and opinions are honest and all my own!

Compass Cove is a town with a legend of compasses and True North which in this town means not the direction but finding your true love.

When Mia DeAngelis was younger, she and her sister Sara, would go up to Compass Cove every summer to spend time with their grandparents. Even though she had tremendous struggles throughout her life, always being belittled by her mother, she still tried to be positive, believe in true love and happy endings So when her father suddenly passed away, she realized that she needed a better environment for her nephew Ben to be in. As luck would have it a job was offered at the college library in Compass Cove so that along with beloved Nana was the answer. She had no idea that in her quest to help Ben, she was helping herself as well. Giving her strength to believe in herself and to stand up when necessary. Of course having the hottest man, Adam, in town helping out and standing by her side helped a little as well.

Adam Miller thought he had it all when he was playing professional football and his loving family supported him. But when the career came to a harsh stop he knew he had to make some changes. He had no idea that the changes would include teaching a young boy to ride a bike and play sports and the new college librarian making him him feel like a teenager all over again.

Family (including some meddling grandmothers) and friends saw that these two were perfect for each other. Now they all they had to do was convince Mia and Adam that, which might be a little harder than it seems.

There is only one problem with this book….when you start it you cannot put it down!! So make sure that you have the right amount of free time without being disturbed to read it, otherwise who knows what might happen lol. In true Jeannie Moon fashion, as you read her words if you close your eyes for a moment you actually see the place and people she has created. It is the start of an incredible series, one I cannot wait to read. I definitely recommend this book to everyone to enjoy!

**I received a copy of the book from the publisher and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**

Then Came you by Jeannie Moon is the first book of I hope will be a wonder series for the residents of Compass Cove. If the future books are as good as this one then Ms. Moon will have several readers waiting anxiously for each release of a new book.

Mia DeAngelis has always had to work hard for everything but had always felt inferior to her sister Sara. But she took her own life leaving her son Ben with Mia who has chosen to move back to Compass Cove to raise him with minor help from her Nana. She's the new librarian at the college and when she meets Adam Miller (new football coach) she will learn that he's willing to do whatever he can to convince her that he's here True North (Compass Cove's folklore)

Adam Miller was a former pro football player but his life spiraled out of control and when he had a near fatal car accident he decided that it was time to change things. He accepts a job as a coach, is close to his family and once he meets Mia and Ben, he knows that his change was worth it. He offers to take Ben under his wing to help the team when Mia's sitter leaves suddenly. But when they are confronted with Mia's mother he decides to stand up to her letting her know that Mia is a beautiful woman and he wants her forever.

I loved how the two grandmothers conspire to show both Mia and Adam that they've found the love that they both had experienced even when he need needed a nudge at the end to confess his love. The Thanksgiving celebration with little Rosie telling her uncle that he needed to rescue her grandma from the evil ex-girlfriend Pilar. Then Came You was my first book by Jeannie Moon and I will try to wait anxiously for the next book in the Compass Cove series. I'd give the book all five star and more if I could as I loved it.

Adam and Mia are two people who have ghosts from their pasts and it is heartwarming to see the connection that develops between them. The setting of Compass Cove reels you right in making you want to live and love in this town. Ms. Moon's writing is very appealing to me and I have enjoyed every one of her books. Once I started reading I just did not want to put this book down. I think anyone who reads this book will definitely enjoy it. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A truly beautiful love story. Filled with twists, turns and dysfunctional family members. Also filled with sweetness and joy. Mia and Adam work through the issues of the past and present in hopes of creating a future together. It was a fascinating journey. A richly rewarding read.

This gem of a story came out of nowhere and hit my heart with strong impact. The writing was perfectly executed to provide a wrenching emotional response. Adam and Mia's story was heartwarming and so real I felt as if I was there experiencing their joys, sorrows, laughter, and heart ache.

I was most impressed with
Adam's growth and the part that Mia and Ben played in its outcome. Mia's struggles broke my heart in how long she had to be strong for herself and Ben, without a safe harbor until Adam entered her life.

The cast of characters was priceless, each individual's unique personality evident from the first page, there wasn't a moment that I was not engaged and and invested in every one of them...except Mia's mother!!

I'm looking forward to the continuation of the series...wondering who's up next in finding their true North.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and Netgally, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.

If I could give this book 10 stars I would. It was beyond wonderful. It is the story about the jock and the librarian and I loved every single character in the story even the two protagonists.

This is the story aboout Mia who is 29 a librarian and she has moved to live with her grandma in a small town. Mia, 9 years before become guardian to her sisters son, Ben who is now 10. She pretty much gave up everything for him but when her father died and her mother decides to move with some friends, she has no family near her and when she finds a job near her grndma, she moves to the small town her grandma lives in.

Ben is having a hard time adjusting until he discovers sports and meet the football coach, Adam. Adam had everything and lost it all and so he meets Mia, thisterrific woman with a terrific nephew. But he does not feel worthy of her and so he screwsit up.

This is the story of Adam and Mia's friendship and MIa learning to love herself and find love and happiness. She deserves a wonderful life and it was wonderfu watching her make that happen. She has ups and downs but I loved how tough she was and she really perseveres.

Adam is good looking and Rich but inside he does not love himself and he really has to learn to love himself so he can learn to love Mia and Ben. This really was an incredible story and I cannot wait to read more by this author.
