I really enjoyed Ophelia and Colin's story!

Ophelia has always been the quiet, shy member of her group of friends, but she has always longed for an adventure of her own. When she is offered her own chance at an adventure, she jumps on it. Trying to find the answers about Colin's family history, they set out together. But if they are found to be traveling alone, Ophelia will be ruined. But it will be worth it, if they find love at the end of it!

This was a great conclusion to the Undaunted Debutantes series! I throughly enjoyed this series and can't wait to see what McKnight comes up with next!

Finally Tilda's killer is brought to justice. Book three in the Undaunted Debutantes series is a finale worth reading. Although each character is appealing, Lady Ophelia is my favorite of the friends. Probably because she reminds me of myself at a younger age, shy with my nose always buried in a book. Ophelia would find her strength and voice in Colin Parnell, Lord Hawke. In assisting Colin in his quest, Ophelia finds her true self. Her transformation made for a wonderful story. I loved this series. Each book has an unique storyline, with Tilda's death tieing it all together. The characters, though friends, are unique and as different from each other, as the three storylines were different from each other. All were throughly enjoyable reads.

Not your typical historical romance slash mystery it actually has characters that I enjoy. It's colorful and humorous yet also entertaining and light hearted at the same time.

What a wonderful way to finish the ongoing story of the three friends, Luci, Ophelia and Edith.

I'm sad to say that I have not read the first two in this series, but I'm happy to say that it did not inhibit my enjoyment of the story of Ophelia and Colin. The characters were well developed and well written. I wholeheartedly felt like they were believable. Ophelia's articles prove their creativeness. Their feelings for one another and their work together on figuring out the book to break open the secrets about his grandfather glued the suspense and mystery of the story together.

This was my first book I read of Christina McKnight and I was enchanted from the very beginning! Christina is a awesome writer. My only complaint is that I have not read the other two books in this series. I have already purchased them both to correct that situation. I am looking forward to reading them and every book she has written and is yet to write.

The 3rd and final book in the Undaunted Debutantes trilogy. Since the first book, I've been looking forward to Ophelia's story. She's the reserved, bookish friend compared to the others. She always has her nose in a book so when Tilda is murdered she doesn't know what's going on. Just like the other two ladies, though, she wants answers. When her friends find themselves their own adventure and love, she becomes the 5th wheel and begins to feel lonely. So when the opportunity for her own adventure arrives she jumps at the chance to prove she's more than bookish.

While I enjoyed Ophelia, I knew I would, I was a little disappointed in the actual adventure part of the book. I also liked Colin, I thought he was sweet and perfect for Ophelia. The romance between them was reserved, quiet, and sweet just like the pair of them. The stand out character from this book, however, is Colin's grandmother! She was a riot and brought a lot of humor to the story. This was a good way to end the trilogy and find out the answers to Tilda's death.

**Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book 3 in the series. We finally got to meet Lady Ophelia. I felt such a kinship with her because I am definitely a book worm as well. I like the story and was finally glad we get to learn what happened to their friend. I thought it was a great way to end the trilogy.

This book is different, it starts with a murder! Ophelia should have witnessed who pushed her friend Tilda the night after her wedding. And it goes on like this - not very conventional!! She doesn't care that she is alone with a unmarried man. She doesn't care that she breaks into her dad's secret drawer and leaves it unlocked. She doesn't care about soo many things ... maybe a few too man for my taste but it was a really nice read!

The stunning conclusion to Undaunted Debunates was a bundle of surprises. About nearly twice the size of the previous instalments if memory serves me right. The Misadventures of Lady Ophelia definitely lives up to its name. Lady Ophelia is the book worm and nerd if I was to describe her . She is the oldest daughter and sharing similar passions with her father has let her get away with things. She has a love for romance books and can usually find her reading one.

However in the last few months things have changed since those events. That fateful night when her friend plunged to her death and things changed forever. Since then the girls have been on a case but they have got a little sidetracked. Well expect for Ophelia. She regrets that she didn’t see anything and the recent events that evolve her have got her thinking. She can’t stay in the background. She wants to be the leading lady like the romance novels and soon get the opportunity.

It all starts like a classic romance novel beginning. With the arrival of a mysterious stranger arriving to her family home. The said mysterious stranger coming in search of a book that she never heard of that holds the key to things for his family . Lord Hawke, is determined to prove things for his dear old grandmother who he adores that his grandfather was all that she claims. NO easy task given that everything is against them.

So when Ophelia comes across the situation. It seems made match in heaven and soon we see Colin just enlisting her help. However this is half the story as we see everything come together that has been building up as Opehlia sets out on her adventure. An adventure which has a more then a few bumps and turns a misadventure that you will not forget as the two set upon finding out truth of Collin’s grandfather

Honestly I could relate more to Opehlia to the others and therefore this was my favourite as I loved the layers to the story. How everything was unearthed and answered. I couldn’t say there wasn’t anything lacking.Colin and Ophelia may come together in the case for name of his grandfather but don’t worryMcKnight hasn’t forget the long running arc and entwines it in nicely.

As both may have different ideas when they set out but fate and chance has a big role to play wit ht his novel and I loved how everything came together and saw its conclusion. If you thought you knew all. Get ready as this may be an adventure that you won’t forget in a hurry. It a conclusion that you will love and honestly I do hope this isn’t the end of these characters. As there two sisters that need their story .

I did not read the first two books in the trilogy. So, at time I do get confused by the storyline.
The mystery is solved in this book. And I need to get the first two books.
Love the characters. Love the story. (I Love romance books)

Lady Ophelia is a woman after my own heart. We share a love of escape to far-flung worlds, tales of swash buckling pirates and intrepid heroines. Devastated at the murder of her fiend while she stood by with her nose stuck in a book, Ophelia seeks to ease her guilt by investigating the accused. When she discovers a stranger seeking a book that leads him to her father’s door she is compelled to investigate.

Colin Parnell, Lord Hawke, has promised to find his grandfather’s book, believed to prove his grandfather worked as a spy for King George II and did not die as a no-good smuggler off the coast of Kent for his feisty grandmother, Molly. With the evidence he hopes to heal his fractured family.

What I loved most about this book was Lady Ophelia. Watching her grow from a timid and reserved young lady to an outspoken woman, unafraid to speak her mind was inspirational. The plot moves along seamlessly with plenty of suspense and intrigue with a dash of romance thrown in.

This is the final novel in the series “Undaunted Debutantes”. The story has followed three women Ladies Edith, Lucianna, and Ophelia, who found their friend dead on the night of her wedding. All believe that she was pushed by her husband and made it their ambition to find out the murderer.
From the beginning, Lady Ophelia Fletcher has felt guilty about the death of her friend, Tilda, as she was reading her latest novel and did not witness the event. Consequently, she has always felt that her friends have not given her much credit. They have always dismissed her, believing her to be timid and shy.
However, one day she finds herself following the person she believes killed her friend, only to meet Colin Parnell, Lord Hawke, into a bookstore. Colin is desperately trying to find a book for his grandmother that she believes was written by her husband. In this book, his grandmother believes he has told of his work for the king, destroying the belief of many that he was a smuggler. Colin soon finds himself thrown together with Ophelia, trying to find the missing pages of the book alongside discovering the events behind Tilda’s death

The Misadventures of Lady Ophelia (The Undaunted Debutantes Book 3) by Christina McKnight. Book 3 and the final book in "The Undaunted Debutantes" series. Final book of this amazing series. While, book 3, it can be read as a stand alone, however, I'd suggest reading the other two in this series, to learn more of the friends, but not necessary to enjoy Ophelia's story.

Lady Ophelia Fletcher, is quiet, reserved, always has in a book in hand, which is why she didn’t witness the death of her friend. She now writes the Mayfair Confidential column, which exposes unsavory men, this is her way of making amends for not backing her other friend’s claims of murder. Guilt of not witnessing her friends death has driven her for years but can love safe her.

Colin Parnell, Lord Hawke, has a promised his grandpapa to find the book that proves his grandpapa worked as a spy for King George II and did not die as a smuggler off the coast of Kent. He wishes to re-claim his family's honor, the scandal that surrounds them, and their good name. Will Colin and Ophelia find the true treasure, finding love and their HEA? Ophelia and Colin are wonderful characters and readers see Ophelia grow from a timid and reserved young lady to an outspoken lady, who speaks her mind.
The cast of characters are enjoyable, creative and realistic. Steady paced with a few twists and turns. The plot flows seamlessly and is written with detail to history, details of the area, with intrigue, danger, passion and adventure.
I hate to see this series come to an end, but all good things must.
Once again Ms. McKnight demonstrates her skills as an author. She never disappoints her readers. If you enjoy adventure, mystery, suspense, and intrigue, "The Misadventures of Lady Ophelia" is the right choice of reading material. A joy to read and strongly recommended.

I wanted to like THE MISADVENTURES OF LADY OPHELIA, but unfortunately, it felt like it was lacking something to me. I did however love the male hero, Colin. Maybe I just missed something by not reading from book one of THE UNDAUNTED DEBUTANTES so I am going back to the start.

I've read the other books in this series and found them enjoyable, this wasn't quite as good. I like both the H and the h, just not necessarily together, never felt their connection really. The story ties up the mystery that weaves through the series, and honestly the Duke of Abercorn was more intriguing than the characters romance. I wish he hadn't been so unattractive in his description, I want him to have a HEA. And truly, the couple have only a handful number of encounters before she heads out on a trip, unescorted, with him? Unwise in today's time, absolutely absurd for regency time period. And I'm not a huge stickler for propriety in books, but it was also completely out of character for both parties. The book was okay, just not great.

This is book three in the series. Ophelia ans Molly's meeting each other was a hoot! I enjoyed the adventure the couple went on and how they ended where they did. There was also murder and maddness that gave the book some shock! I enjoyed this story.

The Misadventures of Lady Ophelia is the third book in The Undaunted Debutantes series by Christina McKnight. I haven't read the other 2 prior to this one, so can say that this book is easily read as a stand alone one.

After one of her dear friends died on her wedding night, Lady Ophelia Fletcher, despite being a the scene of the death, couldn't confirm or deny that the new groom pushed her down the stairs. To make amends for possibly letting the man go legally free, Ophelia started a publication that published any and every man's sordid pasts. They won't get away with anything if Ophelia has a say in it. If that in turn helps women these men have hurt in the past then so much the better. Although doing some good in that small way, Ophelia still feels like she leads a dull life. She longs for romance and adventure, especially as two of her best friends are off to Gretna Green to get married, leaving her behind.

Colin Parnell, Lord Hawke has dealt with his family feuding for so long, too long. His father believes that his own father, deceased, was a smuggler and a vagabond during the 7 year war. His grandmother believes that the man actually worked for the King and was much respected by the man. Over the years, both of them constantly fought over it. His grandmother asks him to find a book, her husband's journal which had been bought in the past. In that book apparently there is proof that he did indeed work for the King. If Colin can find it, one way or another the family feud will have to come to an end.

The man that is supposed to have bought the journal is no less than Ophelia's father. He, for some reason says he thinks he does have the book, but would have to look for it. Ophelia decides to do some snooping herself, and finds the book locked away in a drawer in her father's desk. Why did he say he didn't know if he even still had it if it was locked away in his drawer? Ophelia immediately takes the book to Colin and from there the adventure for them both starts.

There are pages missing from the book, the very pages that must tell what they want to know. Molly, Colin's grandmother tasks him and Ophelia with travelling to their old home town to try to find those pages. During their time together they learn a lot about each other, and they find that they are seriously attracted to each other. An attraction that Ophelia loves, but which Colin tries to deny because if he falls for her he isn't good enough for her. Even if his grandfather did work for the King, it's doubtful they can prove it, plus the man was also a smuggler, and no woman deserves to marry a man with such a past. Can they find the missing pages, will they get the answers they hope for, and can there be a way that they can find and keep true love between them?

What I love about this story is the constant intrigue....was Ophelia's friend murdered or not, why are the possible murder and his sister looking for the same missing pages from the journal, who will get to them first and what will be the consequences? Will Ophelia and Colin have a future together, will his family ever stop their feuding? So much going on, there was never a dull moment. Add to that the intimate scenes between our main couple and the developing romance, and I found myself reading a book that I couldn't put down. I also loved reading about Ophelia's two best friends, and I definitely want to read their stories which were released prior to this book. I am sure, just like this one, those stories will be captivating.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers' copy of this book.

I have read all the previous books in the series and enjoyed them all. This one was no exception, it answered all the questions from the previous books and also featured a blue stocking who managed, at last, to find her voice and also to find herself an enviable hero.
I received an ARC copy of this book from netgalley.
