This thriller certainly kept you gripped from the beginning to the end of the book.

The story was multi-layered with several timelines too, so you needed to concentrate to follow the plot and try to work out the ending, but it was certainly a great read from this Author.

This was a brilliant read. As soon as I started reading this book I just knew I was going to love it. Highly recommended

I’ve read two of these authors books before and I enjoyed both.
I enjoyed this one too. It didn’t blow me away, but the plot was good and tight and shocking enough.

What I see lots is authors using the same scenario though…..

Police doesn’t believe the persons been killed or murdered so the friend/sister/whoever takes it upon themselves to “sort it out, prove it, self investigate “. I just think for me, I’m a little bit tired of that and looking for more fresh ideas?

I enjoyed the experience and I’d recommend it.

It’s 3* but my 3* mean I liked it, enjoyed it nothing really outstanding.

Great story, thrilling plot that I could not put down. Well worth a read, and would recommend to others. Fabulous thriller that I could not put down.

Aria and NetGalley provided me with an electronic copy of Dead Girls Can't Lie. I voluntarily chose to review this book and my opinion is freely given.

North Stone has faced tragedy in her life with the help of her best Kelly. When she no longer has Kelly to lean on, will North have the courage to stand on her own?

Can you ever truly know another person? When her best friend Kelly is found dead, North is determined to figure out what happened, certain that her friend would never harm herself. North is alone in this fact, since the police and her family have taken the evidence found at face value. North's past tragedy drives her, as she has faced enough uncertainty in her life.

The biggest issue that I have with the book is the fact that there are too many side plots. Dead Girls Can't Lie reminded me in a way of the child's game "Duck, Duck, Goose". The author danced around, saying "not it" to one side plot and another, until deciding on the ultimate outcome. With a little more streamlining and a little less about everyone other than Kelly, Dead Girls Can't Lie would have been a good story.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to read and review this book.

After losing and replacing my broken Kindle and getting a new phone I was unable to download the title again for review as it was no longer available on Netgalley.

I’m really sorry about this and hope that it won’t affect you allowing me to read and review your titles in the future.

Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.
Natalie.

The blurb of this novel sounded extremely interesting, and although I generally enjoyed it the writing style and atmosphere, I don't think the idea was explored as well as I'd hoped.

In Dead Girls Can't Lie, Kelly and North were inseparable; best friends since childhood who knew all of each other's secrets. So when Kelly is found hanging from a tree in the woods and the death ruled as a suicide, North is certain that Kelly didn't kill herself, and sets out to investigate when the police refuse.

Explored through flashbacks, we get a glimpse into the past, and the friendship between North and Kelly. The chapters flowed well, although to be entirely honest I didn't feel much for the characters. The story, however, was well-paced.

This is an enjoyable, light thriller. Though I'd say it was less of a typical psychological thriller and more of a mystery, but still a great read nonetheless.

Thanks to netgalley for the ARC of this book.
Kelly is found hanging from a tree, and her best friend, North doesn't believe that it was suicide. This sets the book' story line. North starts her own investigation and soon finds out more about her best friend than she thought she ever could. Recommended.

Review: This is a great thriller that I really enjoyed. It is emotional and deep. It follows friendships and the hidden depths to these friendships. When a horrible crime takes place it is up to North to find out the truth but does she want to really find out the truth. This is a page turner, the characters are deep and real and you feel you are right there with them. A great thriller/chick flick.

I read the Wrong Number series and I really disliked the writing, plot and characterization. I started this one and felt the same so am going to pass on this one. Thank you for the opportunity to read this author.

This thriller was ok. North's best friend Kelly has committed suicide. The story is of North's conviction that Kelly would never kill herself. She sets out to prove Kelly was murdered. I did get bored halfway through the book and skipped some pages to get to the predictable ending.

Very fast paced and very intriguing. I enjoyed how it kept me hooked and it was an original story. Nowadays so many books read the same. Highly recommend. HUGE FAN

Thank you to Netgalley the publishing house and most of all, the author, for the opportunity to read this book in return for my honest opinion.

This was a great book! I loved the characters. North had lost everyone, then her childhood best friend is found hanging from a tree. Everyone is ready to agree that this must have been suicide, North knows, she feels it in her gut, in her heart, that there is no way that Kelly would leave her but is it just that North can't believe that Kelly would do this, or did something sinister happen to Kelly? North is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery. What she finds is that maybe she didn't really know her best friend as much as she thought.

It was a great book with lots of twists and plot turns. North's character was flawed and honest, and likeable. I will definitely be checking out this author again.

Best friends tell each other the truth – don't they?

When North Stone's best friend Kelly Orton is found hanging lifeless in a tree, North knows for certain it wasn't suicide. Kelly had everything to live for – a loving boyfriend, a happy life, and most importantly of all, Kelly would never leave North all by herself.

The girls have been friends since childhood, devoted to each other, soul sisters, or at least that's what North has always believed. But did Kelly feel the same way, or was she keeping secrets from her 'best friend' – deadly secrets...

When the police refuse to take North's suspicions seriously, she sets out to investigate for herself. But her search soon takes her to a glamorous world with a seedy underbelly, and before long North is out of her depth and getting ever closer to danger. Determined to find the truth, she soon wishes that dead girls could lie, because the truth is too painful to believe...

* * * * *

DEAD GIRLS CAN'T LIE is a different type of mystery. It starts off rather slowly and more then once, I considered setting it aside. I am really glad that I didn't however because North grows on you.

North has had issues in the past when her parents disappeared. Heck she still has issues but has managed to pull everything together until Kelly hung herself. She just knows that there is NO way that Kelly would have been out jogging and decide to kill herself. The police won't listen to her so North decides to do her own investigation.

I ended up really enjoying DEAD GIRLS CAN'T LIE once I started to relate to North. She is a good example of what one person can accomplish without the assistance of authorities or even Kelly's boyfriend. I think that my readers who enjoy British mysteries would like this book. Just be prepared for a slow beginning.

*** I received this book at no charge from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions expressed within are my own.

Thank to Negalley for the ARC for my Kindle.
This story was not the psychological thriller that I thought it would be, but it was just a murder mystery for a simple twist. Just o.k. for me.
