This is a sweet story about a little girl thinking about all the different people she can be. It will make a lovely read aloud or a nice bedtime story with the chance to talk about all the things a child can do.

Colurful illustrations. Annabel is good at imagination. She imagines she is something different each day.

Annabel likes to pretend she’s someone different each day. Each page shows her doing something different: artist, baker, detective, doctor, etc. Her cat usually joins in on the fun.
This is likely the most rudimentary art work I’ve ever seen, short of stick figures, but it actually doesn’t hurt. The girl has a giant imagination and it’s shown perfectly here.

Annabel is as busy as her imagination is active! Stunning illustrations accompany an engaging invitation to imagine yourself anyone!

Annabel is a very creative and imaginative character. I appreciated Amy Mullen's illustrations as well. My granddaughter, at 2 and 1/2, loved the fact that Annabel had brown hair and eyes "like me!' and btw her name is Annabel Lee, so I was particularly hopeful. The best thing about the book, is that she was able to "read" it to herself, just by looking at the pictures - such fun to be able to let her imagination go free!

Spend a day with Annabel as she leads a circus, paints some monsters, and gets ready to bad. A typical “life in a day” book. Nice illustrations, but nothing momentous.

This is a great picture book for toddlers. The illustrations are simple and not cluttered, yet demonstrate what is happening in the text. The text is large and very easy to read. Annabel is a little girl with a big imagination. She imagines that she is something different each day. All the things she picks are great things for someone to do when they get older such as a doctor, astronaut, artist, musician and even a superhero and princess thrown in for good measure. A cute story for kids. A great addition to a kindergarten classroom or a family library.

V-e-r-y short book about a little girl who plays "what will I be today?" As a doctor, she takes care of her cat. As a musician, she plays a cowbell while her cat plays the banjo. As a princess, she sits on a gold throne, etc. We'll pass on this one.

This is an adorable picture book for toddlers. Sweet Annabel wakes up every morning and she's ready to start the day as "someone" new. Among her many "jobs" to do, Toddlers will enjoy her adventures as a baker, a princess and a builder. I appreciate that there were diverse roles for Annabel to play, and they didn't fall into typical gender roles in several cases. The illustrations, while simple, are perfect and add much to the story.

I did enjoy this book. The story is about Annabel is a little girl with a big imagination.
I really thought that the way the book was set out and the different things she pretends to be were great.
This would be a really fun book for toddlers and preschool age children - 4 stars

I adored this book! The illustrations are lovely - they are chunky and pastel-coloured without outlines, giving a much softer appearance, and it's just lovely! The text is nice and large with the picture on the left-hand side, and the text on the right hand side on a contrasting-coloured background. The story itself is nice, with Annabel waking up and pretending to fulfil different roles each day. It's a great way to introduce young people to different professions. Definitely a 5-star book!
