A really fun to read-aloud book with absolutely gorgeous illustrations! My 18 month old really enjoyed the words because they can be sung to the tone of ‘The Farmer in The Dell’. The illustrations are colorful and fun and have quite a lot of things to point at while reading with your kids. The full color pages include multicultural characters, farm animals, familiar objects and some of the sounds they make.

Recommended for story-tellers at libraries and day-care centers. Also, the rhymes may get stuck in your head, parents!

Fun book and great Illistrations! Fun to read with kids! Great learning about the farm and making up songs with the words in the book. Would recommend this fun and entertaining book.

I really like books that you can sing. This one you can either read or sing it to the tune of "The Farmer in the Dell". Singing the words helps the kids remember them when they read the book on their own later. The illustrations are also bold, colorful and kid-friendly.

I really like this book. It was very easy to read to my nephew it is full of rhyming and repetition. It reminds me a lot of old McDonald's Farm with how it's written.
I would definitely recommend this book for anyone with small children. It can easily be used as a picture book or as an early reader book.

Great cover! Brilliant book with a really catchy song. Didnt take my 4 year old long picking up the words. Really well illustrated too.

I thought it was very cute and I liked how it had a song. However i don't like how they used a well known song and just changed the words a little. I always like original songs the best. The illustrations were not the usual kind I enjoy a lot. They were still cute and i loved some diversity in it but I would have liked a more detailed one for the price of the book. I would still check it out and share with kids though. I love the farm and respect for living things and kids love songs.

Simple singalong of all the things you can do on the farm: ride horses, roll in the hay, play with animals, etc.
Just as simple artwork, nothing fancy for the kiddies, but It shouldn’t matter as the singing is the highlight.

Overall, not a super fantastic book, but one that will get used frequently in story time. It’s just new words with colorful illustrations for the Farmer in the Dell.

I love picture books with repetition or rhyme to read with my grandson. This one has repetition and can be sung to the tune Farmer in the Dell. My grandson loved it, but got a bit confused when the pattern changed. When we got the third line, there was a pattern for the first few pages then it changed. That is the only reason why I did not give this book five stars. When the dog and cat were introduced their line had the sound they make, but not for the goat, donkey or chickens. My husband grew up on a farm so we were also able to talk about that with the illustrations as well. The illustrations were bright, colourful and fun. I tried to get him to figure out what the line would be based in the illustration and he didn't do too badly. We read it a few times over as he enjoyed the song. A great addition to a family library.

We're Going to the Farm is a fun, animal filled book set to the tune of The Farmer in the Dell. It's prefect for animal loving toddler and preschool age children. My little guy loved the sing-song words and colorful pictures!

We're going to the Farm is a play on a children's nursery song, and makes you want to Hi Ho The farm-eo We're going to the Farm! Sweet pictures, full of bright colors, easy word placement, repetitive rhyme/song cadence carries throughout the book makes this a bed time, or story time favorite. Recommend this for nursery schools, preschool, library story time, gift giving, and perfect to put in farm gift shops as well.

Cute. The rhyming text with multicultural characters will appeal to the toddler and pre-K set. The refrain that follows each is standard apart from one word describing a particular animal or activity. "We're going to ride some horses (2X). Hi ho the horse-e-o. We're going to ride some horses." Woof-e-o, meow-e-o, donkey-o, etc. Colorful, appealing illustrations accompany the text. This may become a book adults get tired of reading while kids clamor to hear it one more time. Four stars.

Very cute song/book about going to the farm to "The Farmer in the Dell". This book would work wonderful in storytimes! I definitely recommend this book.

Wonderful illustrations and easy to read book a valuable adition to sny school library or class library,also a must for home.
Easy vocabulaty ,new vocabulary is easily introduced and renanforced throught the book.
A child can easy use.

This is a cute twist on the Farmer in the Dell song. Toddlers will enjoy the sing song nature of the prose and the bright pictures depicting the content/action of the song.
