Sapphire by JA Low was such a great read!
Not only was this novel smoking hot and steamy, but it was also filled with tension and love. Mateo and Tomas will instantly steal your heart. Yes, they have some issues and problems and are sometimes challenging to get to know, but you end up falling in love with them anyway!!
There were so many twists and turns in this novel, that I was constantly left intrigued and dying to find out more about the characters, their lives, and their pasts.
5/5 Stars!

Brilliant read from start to finish cannot wait for the second book! Highly recommend reading ❤️

An unbelievably fresh, enticing, and erotic menage romance from JA Low!
Told from multiple POV's, Sapphire is an epic love story of pain, heartache, vulnerability, and peril. You're taken on the journey of three souls bound together by their unfathomable love for each other, and experience first hand the lengths each person is willing to go for one another.
Tomas and Mateo's lives take an unexpected turn when they come across a battered and broken woman. Inexplicable feelings of possessiveness and care overtake both men, furthering their need to help and care for the unknown woman. And the more time spent together, intense desires flare as they each soon realize what they've been missing their whole lives.
Sapphire is an unexpected and truly amazing new book from Low, completely different from her Dirty Texas Series. Instead of jet-setting, hilarious rock stars, you're given a dark, suspenseful romance full of treacherous actions and even more menacing characters. A beautiful mix of terror and triumph, Sapphire's commendable writing style is beyond what you've come to love from Low. The powerful dynamic between the characters sets them apart from typical menage relationships. The fire burns to scorching levels of lust, passion, and unrelenting love and devotion.
Danger, secrets, forbidden romance, and unconditional love pour from the pages of Sapphire. And outstanding and exquisitely penned story that will leave you breathless for more.

TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIMMMEEEE!!!!
Calling it at 24%. No rating.
Because I cannot. I cannot read another unsatisfactory MMF. I don't have it in me.
The writing style is not for me. Too little contractions so it reads stuffy and makes these characters sound artificial. The prose is choppy and full of overdramatic and somewhat repetitive verbiage.
I'm pretty sure I know what the endgame is already, but I can't seem to muster up an ounce of care.
I can't connect to any of these characters nor do I think their actions are believable given the circumstances.
However, there are already numerous reviews contradicting my thoughts so anyone interested in reading this I would encourage to read them.
My apologies to the authors and NetGalley for not finishing and my thanks for giving me an ARC.
An ARC was provided by NetGalley.

Wow! What a great book. I really don't know what to say about this hot, dark and heartbreakingly twisted book. The story was different to what I have read before. I can honestly say that I love this authors style of writing, the way she tells a story is just really a breath of fresh air. This was probably her best book to date.
Without going to much into the story or the other characters as I feel it will ruin so much, that needs to be discovered by the reader. I will say be prepared to get hot, bothered and to cry your eyes out. Matteo, Tomas and Zoe are just Wow and I will leave it at that. This book has so much to it. I read it in 4hrs as I didn't want to out it down. It is a complete page turner, with shocks and surprises aplenty.
This book is a huge recommend for me and one that will probably stay with me for a while. The next book can't come fast enough. I need more of this crazy world that I am sure will surprise me at every turn of the page.

Even though I finished this book quite quickly I didn't love it. At times the book went fast and other times it dragged. The plot did keep you reading.
There was MUCH drama. At times WAY beyond my tolerance for drama. The book's center was on human trafficking. Sapphire/Zoe is caught up in a terrible situation that would break anyone. She is a tough person, but I felt that a person can only take so much before they break. Zoe seemed to bounce back after rape, beatings, forced sexual acts, and threat of death like nothing really happened. It was mentioned that she had nightmares, but she had no problem jumping into bed with two men and had no flashbacks or trauma. That felt REALLY false to me.
The human trafficking aspect was very scary to me. How they just prey on girls, take them, and erase them. No one seems to stop it. Again just another way the women in society aren't valued as much as men.
The main men, Tomas and Mateo, were hot but they just seemed so wimpy and out of touch with reality. They didn't seem to protect Zoe very well and when they got her sister there it just seemed easier for the bad guys to get them. I am not into M/M , but I don't think that was the problem. They didn't seem all alpha to me. An alpha is all about action not crying that they can't find her. They also were more concerned with their images then taking the alpha male role of who cares what anyone thinks of me I am who I am hear me roar.
The threesome action was hot. Shower inducing. HOT. That was one of the best things about the book.
The ending was unrealistic. I can't really tell you what I didn't like without giving it away.
It was ok. Not great not terrible. I will want to read the next to see what is going to happen though.
Received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley.

This book went beyond the realm of what I was expecting from a mmf romance. The passion between the three main characters was there but I wasn't expecting the grittiness of what happened to Zoe.

ARC received from Hachette Australia for an honest review
Sapphire, and the entire Bratva Jewel series is a huge step away from what we have come to know and love with Ms Low's Dirty Texas series.
Gone are the fun loving rockers, and we are thrown in with dark and gritty events that can at times be hard to read.
Zoe - now for a lot of the book I couldn't decide whether she was the luckiest alive, or the unluckiest. I don't want to spoil anything for anyone, but she does got through some stuff in that first half of the book.
I am not going to lie though, I did have a few issue with this book. The first 40% did have a few eye-roll worthy moments, however as the book progresses and things settled down those stopped. I felt that Ms Low was always telling us, not showing us. For example Tomas and Mateo were always telling us how strong and wonderful and great Zoe is, but we were never shown this (until very late in the story) But this might just be me.
Tomas and Mateo - hooley dooley, they are hot together, throw Zoe into the mix and things just go from hot to fiery inferno!
There is plenty to keep the reader on the edge of their seat, and Sapphire does touch on some dark and touchy subject, however for the dark there is light, and it kept me reading in one sitting.
I am looking forward to seeing where this series goes
*ready to go live on blog and sales outlets on release dayhttps://www.goodreads.com/review/show/2065130032

I absolutely adored this book. I was hooked from the first page. I personally think the ending was a bit rushed but it was kind of necessary for the beginning to be focused on building the relationship. Either way I loved this book. I can't wait for the second one.

This is not what I am used to from this author but I am definitely not complaining. This story was dark, it was suspenseful and it was sexy. It was so GOOD!
Mateo and Tomas were hot all on their own but then they added Zoe and good lord my Kindle was smoking. They had an unconventional relationship but it worked and you could feel the love they had. That was my favorite part!!!
Zoe this girl went through HELL!! She found a love and a safe place with these men, only to have it ripped away and put through worse. This girl had an immeasurable strength, I want to be her when I grow up. She fought and self sacrificed for those she loved. I don't know how she survived. I was glued to my Kindle in disbelief. How can anyone take all of this and still have fight left. But fight she did!!!
I cheered for her and smiled when she made it out and back to her happy. Only to be hit with an OH NO ending that has me dying for the next one.

This is a seriously questionable book and should come with trigger warnings.
I thought it would be a fun, sexy read and was surprised, considering the tone of the synopsis, to discover it's primarily about rape and sex trafficking, which the author handles in an appallingly crass manner.
It shouldn't be marketed as erotic fiction and I can't believe an entire series is going to be based around beaten, raped and trafficked women.

If you choose this book for the melt-your-panties-part only, than I would recommend something lighter, like Blackmailed. But if you like a heartbreaking beautiful story with suspense, crying and a lot of love AND some hot and steamy, then you definitely need to read this book.
This story is about Tomas and Matteo, two lovers, who are firmly in the closet. Because of Mateo's career and Tomas' family they can't risk the rest of the world to know that they are no straight friends living together, but bi-sexual lovers in a very tight relationship.
You just gotta love Matteo, the easy outgoing personality who loves to smile and make everybody happy. Especially the reserved and sometimes grumpy Tomas. But when they find an unconscious girl on their doorstep, they don't realize she will turn their lives upside down.
Zoe wakes up in a hospital, with Matteo at her side. She doesn't recall anything of her past, and certainly not who has beaten her nearly to death. She gets taken in by Matteo and Tomas to recover and to try to restore her memory. But where only flashes reappear, they don't make much sense to her.
What also doesn't make sense is the strong attraction Zoe feels towards both men. But she does, and it is mutual. So, after stumbling upon a hot make-out session between Mateo and Tomas, she is included in their lovemaking. Fan your panties, because those are hot scenes.
But as Zoe's memory is restoring, the horrible truth is catching up with her. She was one of the Bratva Jewels: high class escorts, managed by the Russian mafia. And one thing is for sure: the mafia is very protective of its jewels...
Heartbreaking, full of suspense, but also with a lot of tender love and care. Absolute wonderful story. Four and a half stars from me. Can't wait for the next book: Diamond. Well done JA Low and a thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

I've previously read J A Low's The Dirty Texas series (rock-star romance) and really enjoyed her books, but nothing could have prepared me for Sapphire. Sapphire is the kind of book that you fly through because you are so gripped by the world and characters that you simply can't put it down. It's the kind of book that asks the reader to go in open minded and is confronting as all hell, but it's a story that needs to be told, and one that will leave the reader feeling rewarded, charmed and with a different outlook on life. In short, Sapphire is amazing and I've never read anything quite like it.
Sapphire is the first book in what is currently a duology (Diamond is set to release October 29 2017). Although it's a lot darker than J A Low's Dirty Texas Series, Sapphire is easy to read and the kind of book you find yourself racing towards the end of only to want to start reading it again almost immediately.
Sapphire is very much a darker romance than J A Low's previous Dirty Texas Series. While the romance is still just as hot - possibly even more steamier and sexier in this book - the narrative itself deals with the dark underbelly of sex trafficking and the women who find themselves trapped in the industry after being kidnapped. It deals with the Russian Mafia, kidnapping and manipulation of and by sex workers, but it does so by putting a human face and emotion to a very ugly side of humanity. While these aspects of the story are confronting and very much in your face, J A Low, has expertly navigated a complicated story and brought her trademark warmth, heart and whit that we've seen and loved in the Dirty Texas Series previously to the page once again.
Sapphire is also a Male-Male-Female (MMF) romance. It's the first MMF book I've read to date and I absolutely loved it, but for some this unconventional romance might push boundaries a little too far. I really enjoyed the way we were introduced to Tomas and Mateo and the way their relationship was not only established but it felt real, so much so that when Zoe was introduced to the story and later their relationship it felt fluent and natural. The resulting narrative is then not only engaging as we get to see how a relationship consisting of three main players in navigated firstly in the home, and secondly by those in the know (Eg. family members), but it also makes for one hell of a sexy romance that leaves little to the imagination.
J A Low has done an amazing job bringing the characters to life in this book. While the main players - Tomas, Mateo, Zoe and our resident Mafia villains Nikolai and Dimitri - are louder and larger than life, the secondary characters of Gracie and Zoe's Mum are equally hilarious and engaging and add some light comic relief and casualness to the story that helps break up some of the more darker aspects.
I really enjoyed the romantic suspense elements of this book, and I honestly had no idea where the story was going to go whilst reading. J A Low has created an expertly paced and succinct novel that is sure to leave readers content for the time being, but equally wanting more and more - I know I can't wait to read Diamond, the follow up novel that releases October 29!
All in all I highly recommend Sapphire for anyone who likes their romance with an edge, or is thinking about trying some of the darker romances on the market. In fact Sapphire would make a great introduction to the broader genre as it balances the darker elements with just the right comedic relief and warmth we know J A Low excels at. What's more the story is fresh and invigorating and it reads effortlessly - I know I was hooked within only a few pages!- I'm really excited to see what is next for J A Low.

Sapphire was a heart-warming and captivating story; it certainly warmed my heart to see how two men could care and protect a stranger. JA Low did an exceptional job of writing this story; she made me laugh, cry, and fall in love. The book had grabbed my attention right away from the beginning of the storyline and throughout the whole book. It felt right to watch all the characters come together through the rough and good times.
I loved how Zoe "Sapphire" Clarks mom encourages her to take her sister Gracie out on the town for a girls night. That is where they meet Nikolai and Dmitri, who the sisters fall for instantly. I hated how Nikolai treats Zoe after a month of dating though. Mateo and Tomàs find Zoe crumpled and left barely breathing outside the gates of their house, it made me feel really happy that they took action in getting her help. The way that Mateo and Tomàs care for her and take her in is just wonderful. Watching the three of them fall in love with each other was phenomenal.
It is the first book in the Bratva Jewels series and the first book I have read from JA Low; it won't be the last. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Sapphire was a good suspense filled read with a lot of dark elements. If you don't enjoy a good mafia type read with m/f/m relationships, rape, beating, killings, etc. then this is not the book for you. Zoe thought she finally found the perfect guy until he was no longer perfect and what was hiding under the charms and good looks was nothing she ever expected. Her dream has finally came crashing down, now she must find a way to survive. Tomas and Mateo are perfect partners; sweet, charming, handsome and caring. They never thought they would need another person until it actually happened. However, darkness lurks around the corner and no one is safe. Zoe went through a lot and although I love a strong character, I felt as if she brushed off everything too easily. I didn't want her damaged, but she definitely needed time to recover from everything that happened. It would have had seemed a little more real if she didn't recover so fast. However, I enjoyed this book a lot and I look forward to reading Diamond to get Gracie's story. I know it will be even darker and more vengeful than this read. I can't wait to see what happens next.
