Jane Ashford's The Duke Knows Best has the perfect mix of romance, plot and character. Well worth reading the entire series.

Although I didn't love this book, it wasn't terrible. I liked that the h, Verity, knew what she wanted in life and voiced her opinions. There was chemistry between the H and h, which was another plus for the book. However, what I did not enjoy was all the secondary characters. It was hard keeping track of who was who. Also, many of the scenes with the secondary characters seemed unnecessary and were page fillers. I started to get bored and felt the story dragged on. All in all, it was not a story I enjoyed or would read again.

Liked the characters and the storyline. Particularly liked the issue, of where to live (country living vs. traveling) even modern readers can identify with issue. Great beach read.
