This is the latest installment in the Black Knights Inc. series, and I loved it as much as the last one. Hot Pursuit is the story of Christian Watson, former SAS officer and current Black Knight operative, and Emily Scott, Black Knight office manager. Their witty dialogue in Fuel for Fire was only the beginning. This story spanned the return of the crew from England back to Chicago and all of the things that happened to get them off the "soddy island." The banter between Christian and Emily propelled the story forward easily. I didn't want to stop reading and devoured this story in less than 24 hours, staying up late to finish the story. Even though this is book #11 and I started with book #10, I felt comfortable with the characters. I didn't feel like I was lost or had any gaps in the story. I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Finally! Emily and Christian's HEA. While it was a slight departure from Walker's usual style of this series, it set up what may be the final installment well. Overall, there are stronger books in the series, but it was time for these two characters to get together.

Julie Ann Walker does an amazing job with the Black Knights Series and I was elated to read this latest book in the series. In the previous book, Fuel For Fire, we got a glimpse of what to expect with Christian and Emily's story. But again, when the story focuses completely on these two we are ring side for the knock down drag out banter these to always have. The mom in me had me, at many points, wanting to yell at them both and say "(T)hat's enough". I know it fuels their sexual chemistry or tension but I was almost sick of their banter.

The story picks up with the remaining members of BKI trying to get of England. Their attempts to lay low are blown to smithereens and they make another attempt of leaving when two men are in hot pursuit of the gang, hell-bent on stopping them. While the gang isn't sure who these two men are or why they are after them, they know they are crazy dangerous and willing to kill. Once again they find themselves hiding out, or are they sitting ducks?

While at a manor thinking they are laying low, Christian and Emily finally decide they will agree to conditions to "benefits" with no strings attached. RIGHT! Like that ever works. LOL. I liked these two together and learning their stories and how they become the person they were- shaped from their beginnings and life in general. But Emily doesn't bare all to Christian and the secret she hides is one she thinks will destroy any chance they have. Which could be right because Christian is livid when he finds out! Can he understand Emily's reasoning? Would he have done the same? Can he forgive her?

I enjoyed the drama with the relationship with these two as well as the story line with the shady character of Spider. I can't wait to see who he is and who will be able to capture him. I hate the thoughts of BKI ending!

Loved the tension between Ace and Rusty- as well as the tease of Angel's story. Can't wait!

In the previous book the team were in England trying to hunt down the illusive Spider. At the end of the book Christian, Emily, Angel, Ace and Rusty were unable to safely escape and have been holed up in hiding waiting for a chance to get back to America..

Christian and Emily have been verbally sparing with each other for a while. Neither would admit to the underlying cause – sexual tension. When their next attempt to get out of England goes FUBAR, due to something from Christian's elusive past that we finally get to find out about, Christian and Emily finally give into their feelings BUT with conditions (ya we all know how well that works out).

I enjoyed getting to know Christian and Emily more – finding out about their past and what made them soo leery of relationships. It not till towards the end of the book is any progress made on the Spider issue.. Looks like Angel's book is going to be the one that possibly wraps up that arc and boy does it look like its going to be a hum-dinger of a book..

Woohoo Black Knights are back! Hot Pursuit is the eleventh title in the Black Knight Inc series. Now it's sexy former SAS agent Christian Watson's turn to get his HEA with Emily Scott a former CIA worker (I don't think i can call her a CIA agent) who now works for BK Inc. Because of her failed love/work relationship she's determined to stay away from any office romances which leaves Christian out in the cold. I really did enjoy the witty banter between the two main characters. (Reminds me of me ^_^) Christian has the fancy clothes, drives a fancy car the only car that isn't a bike like all the other Black Knights, he grew up in a bad household of alcoholic parents and poor which has molded him into the man he is today, enjoying all the finer things in life. He was decommissioned from the SAS after an incident where he was betrayed.

I also enjoyed seeing everyone else show up in this book and the interactions between everyone. After reading this book I'm ready to find out what Angel's story is. Please let his story be the next one. So much mystery! My only complaint for this book is how many times it was explained that Emily's "hood" accent came out it was getting repeated too many times. Like Ms. Walker really did not want us to forget that Emily is a tough girl from Chicago. I get it she can be tough when it needs to be and courageous (or maybe stupid) to jump in front of Christian when a gun was pointed at her right after said gun was pointed at her head.

My bookstore customers are always happy when a new Julie Ann Walker book is released. I always have a waiting list for her new releases. Love the characters and the tension between them

I love this series and have from the beginning. It's characters are funny and fierce. This book is no exception to that and is maybe one of the funnier ones of the series but it doesn't disappoint on the action or drama either.

Chicago born and bred, ex-CIA, Emily, is witty and sassy and organized. She is also determined to never mix business with pleasure.

Christian, ex-SAS from across the pond, with his stiff upper lip and fancy clothes has a hidden thing for Emily. He has a past like the other operatives of BKI that he doesn't talk about.

They are stuck hiding out until they can get back to Chicago in a house with Angel, Ace and Emily's friend Rusty.

When they are caught unaware their day goes from good to bad to worse. This is their journey trying to get home from England. And a journey it is.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Julie Ann Walker always delivers!! This book was great. It was full of suspense and romance with a snide of snarky humor. I love this series! I am so sad that it is ending!!! I can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve.
