I am quite new to the Comic/Graphic Novel scene and I enjoyed "Lady Stuff: Secrets to Being a Woman" by Loryn Brantz. The book is around 130 pages and I finished it in one go. The panels were colourful and adorable. It was very relatable to the stuff women do everyday- from looking like a panda after putting on too much eye makeup, cozying in the bed and skipping work, reaction to pets, funny eating habits to name a few. There were panels which made me laugh out loud and some that I felt were repetitive and some that did not get any reaction from me. Overall, it was a very nice, refreshing and light read.

I loved this a lot. Very relatable and laugh-out-loud funny the whole time. Fans of Sarah's Scribbles need to read.

Although I found some of these vignettes funny, I was disappointed that there were no comics in it that made me laugh out loud. However, humor is often different for everyone, so I do suggest giving this book a try.

There are quite a few situations described in these comics that women will be able to relate to.

I rate LADY STUFF as 3 out of 5 stars.

I loved this comic! It is so full of true and insight comments about a ladies life with the humour that I need to overcome little annoyances in my day to day.

I really enjoyed reading this! I've been a fan of Loryn Brantz's comics since seeing them on Buzzfeed and whilst some of the comics in this were familiar, I enjoyed all the same. I did feel like some of the comics were based on things that I have seen other artists do, however enough of them were quirky and original enough for my overall enjoyment of the collection to not be impacted. A great book for a little pick me up!

The author has a cute art style and a good sense of humor, but most of the majority of the comics rely too heavily on relatable humor. Many of the pages were the same relatable jokes I'd seen multiple times already on social media. If you want a lighthearted comic and are particularly fond of that sort of humor this will probably be a good read for you.

Even though this was an adorable and super fun and quick read, it wasn't my cup of tea. I have few things to say but I don't want to come off as hating this book because I didn't, I just thought it was super unoriginal and it's definitely something I've seen before. This is a compilation of short comics about this character (the one on the cover) in different situations. The main problem is not exactly that it's unoriginal but mostly that I've seen these comics done better by other authors. I also thought some of them weren't as funny as some other ones and I couldn't relate to a lot of them.

The thing is that this book is called "Lady Stuff" but it was only directed at girls that like make up, shave their legs, date men, are "quirky", menstruate, among other things that are often associated with "ladies" but don't only encompass "ladies". I think it was kind of limited and superficial on the experiences of "lady stuff" and honestly, it could have been a bit more inclusive if you're going to talk about all of our experiences and not only a specific one. Overall, I'm all for supporting funny women writing and drawing comics but this didn't catch my attention that much.

Have you ever been to the Internet? If so, chances are you've seen one of Loryn Brantz's Jellybean Comics. They're everywhere for a reason: they're hilarious, spot-on, and a perfect description of my life. If you've ever wanted to tell your boss you couldn't come in because your bed's too warm, if you've ever felt like the chosen one when your cat sat on your lap, or if you've ever wanted to become a professional blanket burrito, then these comics are for you. Lady Stuff is a perfect pick-me-up if you're having a crappy day and need a good laugh.

I enjoyed this book a lot. So much, in fact, that I will get it for a friend.
It is a lovely, clever, and relateable piece of art that will make you smile a lot. I strongly recommend it.

I've been a fan of Loryn Brantz without realizing it for years. I've seen her illustrations everywhere, from Facebook to Buzzfeed. She always helps cast a comical light on everyday situations that have people of all ages and genders saying "Same."

The comics in this book are broken up into sections: grooming and habitat maintenance, life ambitions, mating habits, self-care and social conduct. I started out relating to a lot of the comics early in the book but then realised that I'd already seen all of the good ones on the internet and didn't really enjoy or relate to the rest. It's possible I'm too old for some of the humour and it would work better for women in their late teens or early 20's. It's a cute gift book but I wouldn't personally read it more than once.

I received an ARC from NetGalley (thank you very much to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the opportunity) in exchange for honest feedback.

I adore these comic strips, but unfortunately I was not able to properly download the ARC. I will definitely be buying a copy when it's officially released.

Another one in the wave of all these webcomics put together and published in book form and normally I don't have much of an issue with that but this just fell short.
Every comic after the first few felt like recycled material illustrated differently so any excitement/enjoyment I could have gotten from that just went away.

I've only seen a handful of Loryn Brantz's comics floating around the web, but this collection does a nice job at putting them in context. The art could use a little refining, but the humor is spot-on, especially if you're someone who revels in the absurd -- if you are, Brantz's instructions for seducing a man are absolutely top-notch hilarity.

When I pick up a short comic collection like this I want to really feel like I've gotten my money's worth. I want it to be something I can flip through time and again and still enjoy it. I want to laugh and laugh out loud. I want it to be so good that I feel compelled to grab the nearest person to me and force them to look upon the hilarious panels with me, so in essence I read them all through twice the first time.

These are pretty lofty demands, but with the right author it's done and done every time. Loryn Brantz is one such author! Lady Stuff: Secrets to Being a Woman was a pure delight to read. This is a collection that, as a woman, I could very easily relate to. I constantly found myself choking out an "OMG YES!" or a "That's so me!"

So, it's with zero reservations that I recommend this humorous look at womanhood.

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for this great advanced review opportunity.

Disclaimer: received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

Okay, this was cute. It wasn't anything new and most of it was meh, but some of it made me laugh (well, snort, it takes a lot to make me laugh out loud, though) and I did take a picture of one image for future use (to send to my mom when I'm next on my period. Which might be TMI but hey, it's just true).

I thought I was going to rate this three stars, but the last 20/30 pages probably bumped it up to a four. As did the fact that the period panel said "not all women get periods," what also made me bump it was up the pitbull drawing of how people see pitbulls compared to how they really are. I'm not going to get into it, because it's something I'm super passionate about but - they're good dogs, but always ask first before petting dog (any dog, I've been warned not to pet tiny ones more then big ones).

Anyway, back on topic here. This was cute, fun. Reminded me of Hyberbole and a Half but lacked the serious notes, which is why it's not a five star, just cause nothing like hit me super hard and made me think 'me.' Though, I do like blanket cocoons. and sweatpants

This colorful comic is laugh at loud funny at many moments. Other moments left me wondering if some women actually do these things or if they are more for shock factor. I enjoyed my first dive in to Loryn Brantz, and I love how she uses her comic to highlight the humor, awkwardness, and beauty of being a lady.
