These comics are always, always funny. And often times, they're poignant, and will strike just the right note in whatever body organ you choose, but certainly your heart.

I don't know if I'm just going through a lot at the moment?? But I feel like this one was even more poignant than the previous collections. And I kind of wish they'd add overactive tear ducts to the organs featured in these stories.

I thought this was a fun book. Would definitely recommend to fans of "Adulthood is a Myth."

4 stars.
There are two stories in this brilliant book. One is the funny, smart joke side and humor. The other is the messages that these jokes give us about our own bodies and what we do to ourselves, or could do. Like a little warning message without being over the top and still allowing us to see the funny side. Its just the right combination of seriousness and humor.

There are so many really good points made and book is just amazing, funny, fun to read, cleaver and I would reccomend it to everyone.

Of all of these, this one is probably my favorite. I read the Heart and Brain comics online ALL THE TIME. And I relate to it so much most of the time. This book is a really nice collection - I hadn't seen most of them online before. And its really funny, with really nice art.

I REALLY recommend it!

Heart and Brain: Body Language is yet another installation of a physical copy of a popular webcomic. Many of these within the book can be found online, if you don't know what to expect, but there are numerous new comics only to be found within this volume. They are, as expected, just as humorous and well-done as the rest. If you like anatomical humor, or humor in general, or Awkward Yeti, I would very much recommend reading this one!

I like it very much.

This compilation of the comic strips of Heart and Brain's repartee are really hilarious to read. Also, I've learnt that there are previously published books of the The Awkward Yeti; I'll try to check those later and indulge myself with a good laugh. Lastly, I can relate to Brain's personality because I'm an introvert, a bookworm, and I carefully plan everything first unlike Heart. Yet, I have the some characteristics of Heart also, for instance he likes relaxation and animals such as dogs and other pets. So, after all, I'm really a mixed of Brain and Heart.

I received an ARC e-book copy of this book from NetGalley to review. I'm a huge fan of The Awkward Yeti comics and love to see the latest works of Nick Seluk posted on social media. Naturally, I was drawn to reading this book and it didn't disappoint! Every page is another hilarious and simultaneously insightful foray into the daily adventures of Heart, Brain, and company, who are all in their own ways friends and companions you'd like to have in your own life. I find myself constantly comparing parts of my thinking with happy-go-lucky Heart alongside perpetually-logically-analytical Brain, wondering which one I relate to more in each strip. There was only one typo in my copy (on page 105) and that was the only issue I found. Also, I appreciated the shoutout to other books and authors in Heart's and Brain's trip to the bookstore (page 115). Overall, loved this delightful read and highly recommend to anyone!

Funny, but not so much my kind of humor, after seventy pages it got tiresome.

I really loved this book! I follow the comics online and I loved the grouping of it together. It was such an enjoyable read on a potentially awful train journey!

Bwahahaha! So funny! So wonderful! I just love the hilarious antics of Heart and Brain. Each little comic is full of laughter and wit. And I love how even the Eyes, the Tongue, the Gallbladder, the Gut and Stomach, all play a part in the nonsense. The artwork is vibrant and fun, and each little panel brings something entertaining.
Love it!

The best thing about this comic is that the humor is clean and appropriate for all ages.

I was not expecting this to be so hysterically funny! I knew of, but had never read any Awkward Yeti and I think I'm just going to have to go back and read all of it! As someone who has had their gallbladder removed due to gallstones, Gallbladder was just the best!

What can I say? Adorable, humorous, relatable, thoughtful, and joyous. This book keeps up all the charming traits of the previous collections while still maintaining relevancy and avoiding stagnant writing. Another outstanding collection of comics by The Awkward Yeti.

Out October 3rd.

I LOVE the Heart and Brain series. It is like Seluk snuck inside my brain and found a way to make my anxiety, coffee addiction, and conflicted feelings about exercise undeniably humorous. This collection of one panel/ page comics is so down to earth that everyone will find something that strikes a chord. As always, the conflict between heart and brain is one that we all have to deal with. Budget vs. desire? Yep, that’s covered! Hopeless over thinker? That’s covered too! Throw in muscle cramps, food cravings, and a few token organs that occasionally annoy you and this baby is spot on the money when it comes to realistic humour.

The art work is simple and effective featuring bold lines, block colours, and cartoonishly abstracted representations of the organs. Seluk even manages to poke fun at these abstractions at one point through having heart dress up as anatomically correct, and it was cute little moment to plug the line of never trying to be something that you’re not. I have always enjoyed that while the brain often sweats, wears glasses, and is depicted pouring over a computer or papers while the heart chases butterflies and wears a batman cape. Okay, so it reinforces the stereotypes of rational vs impulsive people a little, but the trope is instantly recognizable and easy to understand even if you haven’t followed the webcomic or read the previous collections.

The beauty of this collection lies in it’s simplicity – it depicts real problems and situations, uses clean and easy to follow humour, and it doesn’t rely on fancy graphics to make up for a lack of content. And seeing as it’s filled with punchy one-liners and a few good book buying reference I can’t help but recommend it as a perfect short read. This is exactly the kind of book that I would leave out in my house to keep both guests and my husband occupied – or better yet, put this baby in a professional office or waiting room!

This is my first introduction to An Awkward Yeti. These comics are pretty darn funny, if a little warped. Come to think of it, they are mostly funny because they are a little warped. Most of the plot revolves the heart and brain, but many of my favorites were when other organs joined in (eyes, gut, tongue). Great original humor.

I am a very avid follower of the Awkward yeti page on Facebook and therefore had seen a few of the comics involved in the book before. That of course did not matter much since it did not alter the brilliance of the content.

There is not much that can be mentioned in the review since it is not a whole story as such but bits of conversations between various organs of the body , the main protagonists being the heart and the brain. The jokes are a few parts funny and other parts very real. This adds a whole new angle to the comics and is thoroughly enjoyable.

Heart and Brain are at it again. This comic accurately depicts the conflicts that go on between our practical brain and our spontaneous and emotional heart. But sometimes, you just have to listen to your gut.
