I loved this story. Quick read for the beach of a lazy day at home. The story opens up with the local psychiatrist delivery a baby on the snowy freeway during a blizzard. Dillon the newest ER / Hospital doctor pulls up to the scene and is shocked to find his school nemesis in the backseat of the car holding the new baby. The two of the doctors have battled each other in school and in life. Dillon has secretly been in love with Kit since they were teens, and she has wanted to be involved with him as well.. Though they both want the same thing they are afraid it won't last. Kit and Dillon go out to her grandmother's home to rescue her from the blizzard - to find out that she was already in town. The two soon discover that it is too late to travel back to town in the white out conditions. The decide to settle in and wait the storm out. I will not spoil the ending... it is a very cute story.

This is the first book I've read from this author and I enjoyed it a lot. I loved the story, the storyline and the characters. Dillon and Kit were the perfect characters in their own way, or more like perfect for each other, they just didn't realize it. I definitely enjoyed their back and forth banter and I smiled a lot while reading this story. There was never a dull moment and I truly enjoyed it from the beginning to the very end. It definitely makes me want to read more books from this author and I'm excited to see what other characters and books I fall in love with. I highly recommend this book to readers who are looking for a fantastic and light romance read.

After reading the two previous books in this series, I was thrilled for Kit and Dillon's story. These two define the reaction between oil and water- or so we thought.

Always full of snark and angst- these two have succumbed to their deep passion which fuels their arguments on a few occasions that were fueled by drama and adrenaline. But when they are forced to stay together instead of being able to flee after their latest encounter Dillon and Kit find themselves analyzing what exactly their attraction is. Walking down memory lane with them was sweet yet very sad. There are tragedies that have defined their lives and their relationship and it will take a lot to move past those to focus on a possible future together.

But when they do allow themselves to be together they soon discover it creates such a significant change in their lives and personalities that they just might not be able to be together. Once strong and opinionated, Kit soon finds herself putty in not on Dillon's hands but in his ideas which she usually argued and fought against. Same for Dillon. Will they be able to change so drastically and lose who they are for the sake of a relationship- is it worth it?

These two are just great together and fit perfectly with the other couples. Great story.!

Cute story but excessive cursing ruins a story for me.

This is the 3rd installement of the Taking chances series and in my opinion one of the best. We have caught glimpses of Kitt and Dillion in books one and two and felt the "tension" so it was with anticipation that I started this book while on vacation. It did not last, I read it in a few hours, could not put it down it was that engrossing. I liked how Dillon was self aware and was always willing to grow (as described early on in the book when Kit sees him go into Sara's room to improve his bedside manner); I liked how they were both aware from the start how explosive their attraction was, and in this regard there weren't any games (except chutes and ladders) how quickly he could melt her panties! That he looked at her and saw forever. ! That it took a tornado and a blizzard to figure it out but thank god he did so before they had a major flood! I loved how they make each stronger and complement each other so much; loved the wisdom their friends impart, loved their love of their community....pretty much loved everything.

This is the first book in this series that I have read and I really loved it! Dillion and Kit are fun and sexy and also frustrating! Whoever came up with the "opposites attract" saying, I am sure were thinking of this couple! I really enjoyed the dialog between these two characters and I it kept me on my toes because I never was sure what was going to come out of either of their mouths. Looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series!

Dillon and Kit have intrigued us from the very beginning of this series. They love to challenge and push each other and have been doing so since grade school. There has always been a spark between them, though neither one has wanted to admit to it in the past. After being stuck together in a snow storm Dillon and Kit both start to realize their true feelings towards each other. Starting a relationship throws Kit off kiltered. She has always been a strong independent woman who know what she wants, and being with Dillon leaves her unbalanced. Turned Up is a fun, sexy romantic read that will have you looking at marshmallows and Chutes and Ladders in a whole new way!

Ok. I absolutely loved books one and two in the Taking Chances series but book three, Turned Up is my new favorite. I didn't think that was possible but Erin Nicholas really outdid herself with this one. It was such a fun story to read that I swear I had a smile on my face throughout the whole book. Well, except for one part where her amazing writing totally triggered my emotions. Erin is totally sneaky like that. Here I am smiling and swooning away and then BOOM. Tear jerking moment. And I totally loved it! Kit and Dillon were so freaking adorable together. They're pretty much rivals with really hot chemistry and have known eachother forever. I loved that aspect of their relationship. And I loved how combustible they were. I will never look at Chutes and Ladders the same way again. Read this book and you'll know what I'm talking about. I am feeling so lucky that I had the chance to read an ARC of this book so early but now I'm sad that this series might be over. At least I've got Sapphire Falls to go back to.

*I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader copy of this book*
