The demon of legend by S.P. Joseph Lyons.
In the absence of the all-powerful DRUX, their former servants, the wizards, rule with unmatched power-hungry fury. As they mercilessly destroy all who oppose them, the universe is set to fall...
An ok read. Slow but readable. Likeable story. 3*.

This is not my normal Fantasy read, but I found the characters captivating and could not put it down.
A really enjoyable, fun read.

“I love you, Kaya. In you I have felt something I have never felt before…” – Oreunasis
Taking on human flesh, Oreunasis, the Lord of the Drux – something similar to a hubrid of god/angel – descends from his heavenly kingdom to destroy the human wielding magic and protect the rest of the worlds from them. But a human body has limitations – and desires. And Oreunasis finds himself learning and wishing for much more than he originially planned.
OK, yeah, it had an interesting concept, and the romance between Kaya and Oreunasis was… sweet, sort of. But the rating couldn’t go higher than what I gave it, based on the fact that there were a lot of loopholes in the plot. The writer wanted to create his own universe, and that would have worked if he had taken just a couple of paragraphs of explaining the logic of such universe. Instead, I felt rushed right from the start to accept laws and physics I wasn’t familiar with, and that disrupted the pace of the rest of the story quite a bit. And don’t get me started on the end – I was literally screaming at my screen a series of cusses that would have made a sailor blush! What was that?!
I don’t think I want to read the rest of the series. It was a… fun ride while it lasted, but this is the end of the line for me.
“Every moment I used to live before you is nothing at all compared to the moments I now live with you…” – Kaya
