Krista and Noah, childhood friends and drinking buddies on happy hour Wednesday night. While drinking too much a kiss suddenly changes everything.
I loved this story and is so heartwarming and full of emotion as their affection grows and is Krista still one of the boys!!
I truly recommend this book for an awesome read and thanks to NetGalley for this advance read.

This is technically the second book of this series but it can completely stand alone - you don't have to read the first book to enjoy this one. There are no f-bombs in this one, but there is some on-screen sex. Nothing is described explicitly or crassly, but it is there, so if that is offensive to you, you might want to skip this one. But you'll be missing a really sweet story if you do.

I very much enjoyed Noah and Krista's story – this one is a friends to lovers book done right. Krista and Noah's chemistry was palpable from the very start, and even when I found myself sighing at Noah and his stubbornness, I wanted them to get things right and to find their happily ever after together.

That epilogue was sweet and funny and totally perfect for this series. It was exactly what I wanted for these two and it made me sigh happily as I reached the end.

I know the release date for this book is months away as I write this, but I am already looking forward to Sam and Abby's story.

I requested and was granted an ARC of this book via NetGalley. I was under no obligation to write this review, I did so because I enjoyed this book.

This was a cute premise - long time friend's realize they're in love - but there just wasn't any passion. I didn't see them as best friends and I didn't see their love develop. It was just flat.

This is a nicely written romance between two best friends that turns into love.

I enjoyed the book but I felt like it dragged at certain points and it took me a while to get into it. It is also a purely character driven story. I think it could have used a little more controvery or a dramatic aspect or even an evil ex girlfriend. While I enjoyed it, it did drag a little. I also did not love Noah for Krista at first and later I started to see that he loved her but at first I thought she was more into him than him into her.

Krista has been Noah's best friend since childhood. Noah feels the same way but he does not know Krista is in love with him as well. The book opens up when he bring a friend(barbie bimbo) to their standard weekly friends bar night. Krista walks out and decides to get over him by dating others.

Noah is your typical clueless guy and I mean heavy on CLUELESS. He brings a date hoping Krista will make her seem funner. But it fails and so he decides to take a break from dating until one night Krista gets drunk, he takes her home and she kisses him.

That finally opens his eyes and thats when their attraction simmers and Noah starts seeing her as more than a friend.BUT now Krista has moved on and he has to try and win her back.

This was a sweet and fun romance but nowhere as good as the first one, largely because the first one had this taboo/family thing. We also get to see alot of the first couple in the first book as Noah and Krista help them with their wedding.

This is the second novel in the Blushing Bay series by Annie Rains. While it can technically be read as a stand alone novel, I think reading them in order definitely gives readers an opportunity to really meet the Sawyer family since the characters and stories are fully intertwined. This was a very enjoyable friends to lovers small town romance. Krista and Noah have been best friends since they were children, telling each other everything. Well almost everything. Krista has never told Noah that she loves him but then she knows Noah is not the committing type.
I really enjoyed seeing the relationship between Krista and Noah develop especially as he realized why he had never committed to a woman before. It was Krista the whole time. Great characters and a great story, I can't wait for Sam's story as he tries to reunite with his wife.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel.

This is the 2nd book in the Blushing Bay series. This story focuses on pediatric nurse Krista Nelson & Noah Sawyer, who are best friends & have been best friends since childhood.

Noah is a fisherman, working for his family's seafood business. He is content to be a bachelor but Krista is a homebody, she wants to be married & have a family. Krista knows Noah doesn't do commitment, he lives on a houseboat because he can't even commit to having a house. One night after many drinks Noah drives Krista home & she kisses him. That started getting Noah thinking of Krista as something other than one of the boys.

It was also nice to catch up with Jack & Grace as well as Abby & Sam while they planned the wedding for Jack & Grace. It was also fun to see Krista's brother (and roommate) who drives a cab in Blushing Bay. I loved the story & could not put it down.

Krista Nelson is a paediatric nurse. Her best friend Noah Sawyer is the captain of a fishing boat for his family's seafood business. Krista is a homebody, she can't wait to get married, start a family and get a house with a white picket fence. She'd like that to be with Noah but she knows he hates commitment, heck he even lives on a houseboat because he can't commit to living in a house on solid ground.

But one night after one too many beers in the local pub, after Noah escorts Krista home she kisses him - and suddenly friends doesn't seem enough any more.

I'll be honest, I feel like the Grinch at the moment, this is two books in two days by authors I like that I just feel meh. I couldn't like Krista, she was just too nice, too one-dimensional. In fact, I think I would say that Noah was a bit one-dimensional as well. I'm not really a fan of women whose sole reason for living seems to be getting married and having babies and I found Krista's attitude towards her boss Karen and the potential promotion a bit contradictory. Finally, and this is possibly a first, I both found that there was too much sex but also a feeling of fade to black every time they got to the bedroom.

Maybe my downer is because I wanted Sam and Abby's story, I don't know.

I would classify this as a low angst, sweet but with some sex, friends to lovers romance. I just didn't feel that it brought anything new to the genre, I'd read it all before.

Cute read about friends to lovers. Krista and Noah were very likable. What I didn't understand was if they were such close friends that grew up together why didn't they communicate better? The story revolves around them getting together and has some funny parts. First read for me by this author and I will pick up more. I received a free ebook from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

The second book in the Blushing Bay series, this one focuses on Noah and Krista.

I love series like this that give you glimpses of characters from past books and hunts about what is to come in future ones.

Noah and Krista's journey from friends to possibly more was well crafted and I enjoyed learning some about how they became friends growing up and their differing views of events that happened in their lives.

While at its core this is definitely a romance, the author did a nice job integrating other parts of Noah and Krista's lives so they were more well-rounded characters.

I am looking forward to book three!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Geez, why don't you just say she's too mannish for you to date, Noah.

I get where Karen is coming from, because what if a kid dies. But why not let the kid have a friend in the lonely hospital?

His mother dying wasn't his fault.

Why does Noah think he would screw up a relationship?

Should someone with a kidney transplant be drinking that much?

Boy, Abby isn't letting up on Sam. Hide the knives. What the heck did he do, anyway?

Dr. Dale is a boring, chauvinistic douche.

Buying anyone a sex toy is creepy.

Oy, she's practically planned the wedding, while he hasn't come up with a date idea that involves other people.

Sam did what? Shoot, I'd leave him, too.

Fish on Thanksgiving?

Her family sounds like a bunch of wet blankets.

She should at least talk to him. The poor man has no idea why she broke up with him.

Well, everything was resolved very quickly.
