I had forgotten how a Dennis Wheatley type book could be so compulsive reading. The characters were well described and the Satanic practices well researched. The comparison of white and black magicians was balanced completely throughout and the constant battles were very imaginative. I found the facts about the herbs and plants very informative.
The Wiltshire countryside and village life felt real although I found the premise of Hitlers bones being found and identified so easily a little on the macabre side but justifiable as the basis of a witchcraft book. The ending was unexpected and added to the enjoyment.
Anyone who remembers reading Wheatley books will enjoy this.

The book was really interesting, a real page turner! I really appreciated the mix of history and paranormal being a huge fan of urban fantasy books!
Many thanks for giving me the chance to read and review it.
