Love this series. Loved the ending of this book. Preferred the first two to this one. I was certain of the culprit from the beginning. I did enjoy getting to know many of the characters better. Liked the book involvement. Clever twist!

What do a love chemist, mystery writer and a doctor all have in common? A hate for psychologist Paul Fox and now he is dead. The mystery writer's niece, Megan Sawyer notices some connections between her aunt's books and the murder and as the suspect and victim lists grow longer Megan rushes to figure out the killer before it is too late.

I like the fact that unlike many cozies in this story the police chief welcomes Megan's insights on the case and that gives the story an added dimension. Also, the twists and turns in this story will keep you constantly changing the top of your guilty list until the very end.

This is the third book in A Greenhouse Mystery series. It could be read as a stand alone but I feel it would give the reader a better understanding of the characters relationships if you read the other two books first.

An ARC was provided to me by NetGalley for a honest review.

Megan Sawyer comes in to her own in the third book in the Greenhouse Mystery series. She finds peace with herself and her deceased husband and makes a decision about her relationship with Denver, the sexy Scottish town vet. She also is granted a level of respect from the town sheriff for her investigative skills after the town in besieged by what appears to be a serial killer. I will admit that I knew who did it early on. I had no clue why that person was the killer but I just didn't like them. So for me it was matter of figuring out the why. That's just as much fun!

Megan Sawyer is a lawyer from the big city come home to be an organic farmer and run the cafe/mercantile. And on the side, solve the occasional murder or two.

The characters in this book and the series are all well-developed, smart, likeable and very real. A smart cozy.

When Megan drops Becca off at her Aunt Merry's, the reception is fairly hostile. Leaving Megan wondering what was all that about?

When it begins to look like someone is using her aunt's books to do some revenge killing, Megan jumps in with both feet and does her best to find out who is doing the killing and if she is next.

Great Job! Strong, edgy with characters as real as you.

I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley and Henery Press for free in exchange for an honest review.
Wow! In Seeds of Revenge, Wendy Tyson delivered a top-notch mystery. I was kept guessing the killer's identity right up to the end.
Megan Sawyer is an excellent main character - smart, driven, and relatable. I cared about her, her grandmother, Bibi, Denver, and all her friends and family from the very beginning. Merry, Becca, and Luke were interesting and complex. I wanted Megan to be successful in helping them.
Seeds of Revenge is the third volume of the Greenhouse Mystery series. I am definitely looking forward to reading the first two books.

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third insallment of the Greenhouse Series and unfortunately, it didn't work quite as well for me as the previous one. It's hard for me to point my finger on why but the mystery had a few too many ingredients making it a little far-fetched. And I felt like the whole book took place from Megan's car. I really like the premise behind the series and hope the next installment brings us back to the farm a bit more.

This is the first book of Tyson’s Greenhouse Mystery series that I have read, but third in the series. The central character is Megan Sawyer is a retired environmental lawyer who is now an entrepreneur in Winsome, PA with her own farm to table store and café with products coming from her Washington Acres farm.
On her way home one night from a trip to sell here greens to restaurants and chefs, she encounters a stranded person. With snow coming down, she gives the woman a ride into Winsome and finds out that she is a niece of Merry Chance. With experience as a chemist, Becca Fox, Merry’s niece, is setting up her own business selling love potions. Also turning up in Winsome is her brother and, more importantly, the father who she has accused of having murdered her mother. The many connections between the family members and people of town start to surface. With Becca showing more and more erratic behavior, her farther Paul is found dead and she becomes the primary suspect.
Twists and turns along with family secrets and hidden relationships keep you guessing up until the very end. Really enjoyed the back drop of the farm and Winsome town during the holidays. Definitely looking forward to future books in this series.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher, Henery Press for the ARC.

Seeds of Revenge is the third novel in Wendy Tyson's Greenhouse Mystery series. Lawyer, military widow, and, currently a farmer and store owner, Megan Sawyer is traveling home from a meeting with Pittsburgh restaurants seeking markets for her winter greens. It is a dark, snowy night. As she approaches her hometown of Winsome, she passes a car that had slid into a snow bank. A short distance later, she sees a young woman walking towards town. When she stops to see if the walker needs help, she learns she is Becca Fox, the niece of Winsome resident Merry Chance.

Little does Megan know what this simple act of kindness will lead to. When Becca's father, Paul, and brother, Luke, also arrive in town, odd things begin happening. And when Luke discovers his father's lifeless body, Chief Bobby King, contacts Megan for assistance. It appears that Megan once dealt with a legal case having to do with some similarities to this crime.

In a story of revenge, it becomes apparent that in some way Megan's aunt, mystery author Sarah Birch, has some connection as the occurrences reflect storylines in some of her books, all with the word "kill" in their titles. With a sadistic menace on the loose, Megan, Bibi, and even Aunt Sarah, are unsafe. Until the mystery is solved and the murderer is apprehended, will anyone in winsome truly be safe?

Again, a wonderfully spun mystery, but this one with twinkling lights and snowflakes to make the mystery even more sinister. As with all the books in this series, I do recommend this book!

Traveling With T’s Thoughts:

I really enjoy the town of Winsome more and more each time I visit. It’s got a quirky feel ( not quite a Stars Hollow feel, but in that neighborhood at times).

Megan grows as a character with each adventure- and I find her to be utterly enjoyable.

What I liked:

The cover. Each of Wendy Tyson’s covers has been spectacular and very seasonally appropriate- I’m not sure who at Henery Press is doing the design- but Wendy- you need to send them a bottle of champagne- because they are KILLING it!

The mystery. Especially the involving Megan’s aunt Sarah’s novels. It was a brilliant touch!

Megan’s relationships. Her relationship with her grandmother. Her staff. The vet. And her aunt. You can tell that Megan cares about each person- and those relationships each play a part in making Megan the wonderful character she is.

Bottom line: I’ve enjoyed both of Wendy’s previous books in this series, A Muddied Murder and Bitter Harvest, but Seeds of Revenge is def my favorite! I eagerly await Wendy Tyson’s next book!

I struggle to make up my mind what I think of this series. On the one hand, I really like the set up and Megan is developing into an interesting character. On the other, the mysteries don't always work as well as you want them too, and the way Denver's Scottish accent is rendered still annoys me. This book doesn't have as much of Megan doing farm things as you want either. Hey ho. It's still not bad by any stretch of the imagination, but it has so much potential to be really good.

This book was twisty from the start with little distinguishing the good guys from the bad guys.

Being the good person that Megan Sawyer is, she picks up stranded Becca Fox on the side of the road during a brutal winter storm in Winsome, Pennsylvania. What Megan did not know at the time was that she was opening herself up to a family drama of epic portion with a bit of Gaslight on the side.

Becca is in town to sell her “Love Potions” at her aunt Merry’s store during the Christmas season, but when she arrives on her aunt’s doorstep, her estranged father is there. There is no love lost on Becca’s side since she is convinced that he killed her mother. With the reconciliation that Merry has hoped for out the window, odd things begin to happen with Becca, her brother Luke, their father Paul, and their aunt Merry.

Megan is trying to stay out of other people’s issues and run her organic farm and in town café, yet little by little this amateur sleuth is pulled in when a body is discovered, an anguished girl shows up in her kitchen, a house is burned down, a person is over medicated, cryptic messages are left, and all seem to follow a master plan that had been laid out in books that Megan’s aunt Sarah had written.

I know, very twisty and from time to time, I had to refresh my memory to names and relationships, but in the end, I realized how much I had enjoyed this book over her last “Bitter Harvest”. The last left me wondering if I wanted to continue with this series, yet this one left me wondering when the next will be published.

In this third book of the series Megan has her greenhouses set up to produce vegetables throughout the cold winter, she is out contacting restaurants hoping to add some new contracts to her ever growing business. When coming home from one of her selling trips she comes across a person stuck on the side of the road, it turns out to be Becca the niece of one of the locals, Mary Chance. When Megan drops off Becca at her aunts house things get a bit dicey. Becca sees her father a man she can't stand and the person to whom she blames for the death of her mother. When Becca's father is later found dead everyone looks toward the daughter first. Megan soon realizes that there were quite a few people that didn't like the man and the suspect list grows from one to many, her author aunt being among them. Is her aunt the killer or was it the daughter? Can Megan find the truth before she ends up as a victim? Who had the most to gain by killing? Was he as bad as some are making him out to be? Find the answer to these questions and more by diving into this well plotted mystery. The authors progression of Megan from book one to three has shown her truly growing as a character, especially one I would like to know better. Her romantic relationship has been moving forward in a realistic fashion along with her relationships with family and friends, this makes for a more relatable character which I always appreciate. I can't wait to see what is in store next for Megan and the town of Winsome.

“Seeds of Revenge” earns 5/5 Vials of the Sweet Aroma of….Revenge!

I am very aware of the countless rave reviews for Wendy Tyson’s Greenhouse Mystery series, and am thrilled to finally join in with others to voice my excitement. Although I started with the third book, I never felt at a loss with the backstory or character connections. Wendy brings us Megan Sawyer who had given up her Chicago-based law career for the peace and quiet Winsome, Pennsylvania, helping to open a store and café featuring products from Washington Acres, her grandmother’s organic farm. Along with the ins and outs of farming and running a business, she also falls into various murders and during the subsequent investigations she is assisted by her grandmother Bibi, friends, novice Police Chief Bobby King, and the hunky Scottish vet turned boyfriend Daniel “Denver” Finn.

I very much enjoyed “Seeds of Revenge,” more a cozy with an edge. I was immediately hooked with Megan’s character as she starts off by acting the good samaritan and picking up a stranded motorist on the side of the road during a terrible winter storm. We meet Becca Fox, the niece of Winsome favorite Merry Chance, who is setting up her business in her aunt’s nursery for the upcoming Christmas holidays. Becca is The Love Chemist, who makes naturally scent love potions using pheromones, what she calls the magic ingredient. Dropping Becca off at Merry’s home Megan is shocked at Becca’s reaction upon seeing Paul, her estranged father. She is extremely agitated, not wanting to have anything to do with him, and accusing him of having murdered her mother. Sure many families have conflicts and misunderstandings, but when Paul is found dead, Becca is still the number one suspect. And when she shows signs of mental instability, law enforcement believes it is an open and shut case…Megan’s not so sure, of course, the subsequent investigation is very well written and clever, an engaging page-turner: Fox family secrets, connections to the Sawyer family, multiple murders, along with issues surrounding the farm and navigating through the relationship with Denver. I loved it! There’s always something extra, too, Gardening Tips and a delicious easy-to-follow recipe.

I love a book that immediately pulls you in and this one does the job with visually descriptive narrative that gives just enough to whet your appetite to continue reading. The pacing was on par with how well this multi-plot story was being told, quickly becoming a page turner as I had to know who was doing what to whom. The author did a great job in staging this lighthearted drama with a list of suspects who have a strong motive and it was fun narrowing down the list until there was only one person left standing. But it was the one chapter that had my heart soaring with emotions as I visually watched the scene transcend across time as the two characters took their moment. Boasting a superb cast of characters, great dialogue and a feel-good atmosphere, this was the best book in this delightfully endearing series.

Megan Sayer enjoys her life working on the farm with her grandmother, Bibi in the small town of Winsome. She’s got an ongoing relationship with local vet, Denver and life is generally, pretty good. Then during a trip to deliver some Christmas greenery during a snow storm, Megan offers help for a stranded motorist. Becca, niece of Merry Chance, has been invited to Winsome in hopes of reuniting her with her estranged father. But it would seem that her father is a man no one likes, so when he winds up dead, there are plenty of suspects. Megan uses her sleuthing skills to sift through the long list of suspects. This is the fourth book in the series, and my favorite so far. Tyson creates a lovely little town where I would like to live – although there do seems to be an awful lot of murders per capita!

The Greenhouse Mystery series is shaping out to be one of my favorite. The books are all connected but can be read as a standalone if a reader doesn't feel like starting from the very beginning.

Seeds of Revenge has our protagonist, Megan in the middle of a murder mystery involving a man whose dealings may have gotten him killed. Add in the possibility of Megan's great aunt being involved, especially since her books plot seems to be the playbook the murder is following. As the mystery continues to build and the addition of other victims, a secret from the past is slowly being revealed. Can Megan find the killer before the town of Winsome gets embroiled in another death?

Seeds of Revenge will charm readers with its very likable characters, small town charm and multidimensional plot that will continuously baffle readers and keep them guessing whodunit!

This is the third entry in the Greenhouse Mystery series and a superior cozy. Main character Megan Sawyer, formerly a lawyer in the big city but now an organic farmer living with her grandmother in the country, is a nicely drawn heroine. The rest of the cast, which includes Megan's boyfriend hunky Scottish veterinarian Denver Finn, along with Megan's employees, her grandmother Bibi, and various neighbors and friends, are well fleshed out and appealing. It might be a tad confusing for those who haven't read the previous two entries to keep all the characters and background straight.

Megan is headed back from a sales trip on a wintry night when she stops to pick up a stranded motorist, Becca. Complications immediately ensure -- Becca's aunt Merry is well-know to Megan and her family, but Becca is returning after years away. A staged meeting with her estranged father is uncomfortable for everyone, and it isn't long before bodies and injuries begin piling up.

Is Becca an innocent victim or someone wreaking vengeance for old wounds? An interesting plot with lots of red herrings. Thanks to Net Galley and the publisher for furnishing me with an ARC in return for my honest review.

The third book in the Greenhouse mystery series. It is winter time and Megan Sawyer is working to farm year around. A major snowstorm occurred while Megan was returning home from a trip to sale here greens to restaurants. She gives a ride to a stranded motorist. This starts a new tale of physiological damage that is connected to her Aunt through her mysteries Megan is determined to find the killer. The twists that the swirl around the tale will keep your attention until you are astonished at the end. Megan's romance with the Scottish vet continues. I recommend this book and series

Disclosure: I received a free copy from Henery Press through NetGalley for an honest review. I would like to thank them for this opportunity to read and review the book. The opinions expressed are my own.

Megan is working on farming all year. If she can sell fresh greens to the various restaurants, she'll be busy all year and have a steady income. On her way home after leaving samples at the restaurants, she finds a car in the ditch. The snow is deadly and started late, so she drives carefully looking for the driver. Sure enough, she finds her. And that's where her troubles begin...

Henery Press and Net Galley allowed me to read this book for review (thank you). It will be published November 14th.

The driver is a woman who was invited to visit her aunt and set up a shop in town. When she gets her to her destination, there's a man on the porch chatting with Merry. Her passenger bolts out of the rig and accosts him. She tells him to leave, she wants nothing to do with him. Megan watches until Merry waves her off. She's not sure what happened but it didn't look good.

It seems the man was the driver's father. She hates him and believes he killed her mother. She's very vocal about it. The death was ruled an accident. No one knows enough about it to take one side or the other. But someone kills the father and it appears they're going to have to figure out who.

This is the story of a very dysfunctional family. There are emotional wounds everywhere. No one in the family line was safe, they all suffered the impact. There was a previous marriage, and there was also a lover. The father was not a nice man but someone else in the family isn't either...
