I dunno how she does it but Joanne Rock always leaves me speechless. She writes in a way that makes me feel like I am right inside this book. This book left me teary eyed. It is so emotionally charged I could feel the tugs and pulls of emotions throughout the pages. Losing my mother when I was younger I can feel the emotions Larissa felt when Matt gifted her with a gift her mother had made years ago. It literally made me cry like a baby.

This is a second chance love story of college sweethearts and a relationship that ended badly. I have always been a fan of Joanne's work but this one just left me wanting more and more! I can not wait to get my hands on the next one in this series! I also have to go back and read the first one because somehow I managed to skip it and I can't wait to see what advice Larissa's friends followed from the life coach!

This was an enjoyable and well written story about 2nd chance at love between two really sweet people but whose hearts they each had broken some 8 years before. Larissa is on the way from NY to Vegas and she stops off in the town she grew up in Cheynne to see her old boyfriend Matt.

She broke up with him 8 years before by text message and so she wants to see him and ask his forgiveness for the past Meanwhile Matt's sister is getting married and as soon as she sees her old friend, she insists she stick around for the wedding and that is gow Matt and Larissa end up rekindling things.

Can Matt move on with Larissa? Can his heart trust her again? Will Larissa go to vegas? And why did she break up by text message? Well I am not spoiling the fun. This wasa really fun story and I realy enjoyed getting to know the characters.

A tender story that completely took me by surprise. Never having read this author before...and not knowing what to expect (I enjoy reading new authors to expand my reading repertoire)...I have been totally captivated by her writing.

The description of characters is so vivid and realistic that I can picture their every move and expression, not to mention their body language. Matt and Larissa were so real in my mind that I could envision their passion for each other...as well as their heartbreak...as it unfolded for them at their second chance at love. Very well done.

I applaud Ms Rock's genuine caring of her characters, this comes through in her writing and storytelling methods. When I can't put a book now, I am hooked on the author's writing...I am looking forward to seeing more of her work.

This ARC book was complimentary, I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
