Cyrus and his wolf pack would do anything to make Mal’s resolve and loyalty to finn and his pack waiver. He was now in a cell with a knife in his shoulder coated in silver and he had a thick silver collar on. He didn’t want to loyal to Finn and his werewolf pack- which Mal was a werewolf and also needed a pack and Alpha- - not anymore . They’de left him for dead, left him with an enemy. Than the Big Guy brought a woman down and shot her in the other cage. The woman’s leg was bleeding a lot. Than her scent grabbed him, his wolf by the throat and shook his senses awake. It had been a long time since he felt something other than fury or pain. Mal went from disinterested to fully aware of every single breath she took and every move she made. He had the urge to go to her even if it made no sense. Olivia was the woman in the other cage and didn’t like feeling vulnerable or helpless but that’s exactly what she was. He broke out of the cage but his wolf wouldn’t leave the woman. After he’d went aways with her he knew he should leave her, she was getting worse and full of infection. But again his wolf would not let him leave her. Mal woke up and something was off . It was cold even for him. Mal heard screaming and Olivia had been pulled away by a grizzly bear. It was her screams that woke him. The screaming gave his wolf permission to take control. Mal and the grizzly bear fought but he got Olivia back. Olivia was dieing and had lost more blood. His wolf begged him to save her. He knew he had no choice if he didn’t want her to die so he bit her and infected her. He knew what was coming - a fever shakes, nightmare like delusions- things she already been dealing with . Her. first change would be in two days. After that she’ be able to change at will. , if she will to control her wolf. He now had a responsibility to Oliva but oddly that didn’t bother him, but finding safety before the Others found them did. All his wolf wanted now was to be near Olivia. If she was out of sight his wolf grew angry and restless. Iy no longer seemed to care about revenge, which had kept him going through the torture after Cyrus and the Others got him. Mal would be damned if he let his wolf tell him what to do. Twas is a re one but he was in charge. Getting attached to Olivia anymore than he already is a bad idea. There was a chance she’d still leave. But he had to teach her how to shift, how to work with her wolf, how to control her instincts. Mal had cared before. Loving her, Jude , had meant her death. . Than finding what was left of the woman he had planned to marry haunted him. Hate had been the only thing that mattered. Hating himself, Finn and life. But he couldn’t hate Olivia. Or leave her. What he felt for her was too big, too real. All the cold hardness wrapped around his heart had melted during his time with her. She’d woken him up, made him live, made him fear.
I really enjoyed this book. But I did think the ending was all of a sudden the book was finished and I didn’t expect it yet. It wasn’t a cliffhanger per say but it did kinda leave you hanging to a degree. I loved Mal and Olivia together and how they interacted. This was a good read with: action danger, physical pain, mental pain, betrayal, torture, hatred, the Others, finding a mate, a new werewolf, love, and so much more. I liked the plot and pace a lot. I felt bad that Olivia’s whole life had been based on lies and what Chase and ever her father had done for Cyrus. I hope I get to read more about the pack and Olivia and Mal. I feel there is a oot the other could do for another book or two. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I do recommend it.

This book started off REALLY awkwardly. You are just thrown into a situation where Mal, a werewolf, is being tortured, and then a random girl is in the picture. She doesn't seem to be in her right mind half the time. Sometimes she wants to be near Mal, sometimes she doesn't, sometimes she thinks that this is all just a big dream, and Mal has to try to take care of her and get the both of them out of some sort of dungeon. Not gonna lie, I wasn't really into it. THEN, once they finally got past the escaping from the dungeon part, I really got into the story.

Mal is good at protecting Olivia. He wants to take care of her, but he has also been weakened from the months of torture. His Alpha hasn't come to get him, so he feels abandoned as well. Before Olivia arrived, he had given up. He wouldn't betray his pack, but he doesn't think that he will be saved. Then, this human girl shows up. He wants to ignore her and focus on surviving for as long as possible, but his wolf won't let him. He's tired, he's been tortured, but he still feels a connection to this girl. Olivia gives him hope and a will to escape.

I didn't like Olivia at the start of the novel. She just seemed so boring. Her dialogue was also annoying, as she was trying to play that "mid-20s woman who hates that she's a virgin" trope, but she was also coming onto Mal REALLY strongly when she was delirious from fever. By the end of the book, I loved her character! I can't say what made the change, as that would be a complete spoiler for anyone who actually wanted to read and enjoy the story. But trust me, she turns it around completely, and she and Mal end up being great for each other.

Once the two catch up with the rest of the pack, I am introduced to the other characters. Sometimes with these romance series, I like to see who I think will end up together in future novels. For this book, I couldn't really do that, which was nice in a way. I liked being able to see all the other characters outside of pairings, but because most of the men seem to get their mates from outside the pack, this might just be something that will continue throughout the series.

I will definitely be continuing with this lovely romance trilogy. All the characters are so unique, and they have such intriguing backstories. If I stop now, I won't be able to see what new girl is introduced next. I also hope to be able to go back and read the first book in the series, even though I technically spoiled some things for myself already. It'll be worth it though, these books are definitely going into my permanent collection!

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a new wolf adult romance series.

I received an advance copy of this book and this is my voluntary review.

Great book. I enjoyed it. Loved every word of this. Shifters are some of my favorite books. I felt as if I was right there with the characters.

This is Book 2 in the Blood Moon Brotherhood. It can be read as a Stand-Alone. Mal has been captured by Cyrus and his band of Others. While he’s being held in a cage, they bring Olivia in and cage her. These two are something else. He’s mad all the time and she just has bad luck. She’s stabbed, dragged off by a bear then bitten by a wolf and carried off to a group of strange people who all turn into wolves. You have to feel sorry for her. What a good story. I really enjoyed the chemistry between these two and the relationship between the whole group. That’s exactly how a “family” should be. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from Netgalley.

This exhilarating and gripping story starts off with a bang and keeps readers glued to the pages with thrills and romance until the very end.

Mal just wants revenge against those who deserted him and those who tortured him. Olivia’s savior isn’t exactly hero material, but the longer she’s with him, the stronger their connection becomes. These two strong, inspiring characters capture readers’ hearts and hold them captive with their strength and courage. The romance between certainly doesn’t start off on the best foot what with them being captives and all, but the attraction and the sizzling connection doesn’t won’t be denied. The relationship has lots of emotional turmoil, a couple of large hurdles to cross that keeps readers in suspense throughout.

As stated above, the story starts off with an adrenaline pumping event and just keeps on building adrenaline and anticipation throughout as Mal and Olivia try to outwit their enemies and survive long enough to reach the pack, all while dealing with injuries, wild bears and a connection that neither is too sure they want. The story kept me glued to the pages and the fascinating characters ensure that I want to know more about this pack and while I read this series out of order and had no trouble enjoying it, it would probably be best if read in sequence to get the most enjoyment of the overall series story arc.

I admit, after reading Falling for the Billionaire Wolf and His Baby, I didn’t know how I’d feel about broody Mal and what happened to him, but wow, I’m so glad I gave Rescued by the Wolf a chance!

Rescued by the Wolf gave me so much to work with on Mal and his devotion to his friends and his pack. And the revelations he discovers about himself and what he’s capable of when protecting what’s “his” are compelling and awesome to see as he grows as a man and a wolf.

I loved the connection with Olivia—that she gave Mal a chance, that they found love. That they managed to rise above the craziness and come through for each other. I love how Olivia softened Mal’s hard edges, and that his love and protection helped her understand his world.

Looking forward to more in this series!

"Rescued by the Wolf" is a fast-paced action/romance about wolf shifters. Mal is surly and bad-tempered, mostly because he was left for dead by his pack and then captured and tortured by the Others (the 'evil' werewolf pack). In this captivity, everything changes when a woman is placed near his cell. Olivia is innocent and badly injured. She took a knife trying to defend her brother from an attack- and when she stepped in, he ran, leaving her to be captured and imprisoned by these cruel men.

Finally seeing his opportunity to get free, Mal takes it- but he also feels drawn to the other prisoner and knows he must rescue her. As infection sets in and they travel on foot through the perilous wild of Alaska, he must save her from near-certain death the only way he knows how- with a bite. Olivia is delirious and believes her handsome rescuer must be a dream, especially when he is saying crazy things about being a werewolf- and she sees him shift.

As they travel together and work to stop the Others, they also find they have an undeniable bond. However, fearing for the pain that came to his Alpha's mate during the mating process, Mal is resistant to putting her through it. Full of sexual tension and action/thriller-like plot as they work to escape and uncover the traitor in their pack, this book was a fast read.

Although this was the second in a series, it can be read as a stand-alone. That being said, I would recommend reading in series, as the key information is slowly revealed, and you can know more about what is going on by reading the first book. I found the beginning a little rough as I oriented to all the new characters (we are thrust right into the action) and situations. About a quarter of the way through the book, I felt caught up and could really enjoy the plot. I am pretty sure I would have jumped on board faster if I had read the first book.

This is an action-driven romance that is also a quick read. I enjoyed it overall and loved the dynamic between the fiercely independent Olivia and the brooding and protective (but respectful) Mal. Please note that I received an ARC from the publisher through netgalley. All opinions are my own.

Rescued by the Wolf is book 2 in the Blood Moon Brotherhood series. Betrayal, action and romance the second instalment of this series has it all. A great storyline with fabulous characters had me engaged early and gripped to the end. I look forward to reading what comes next.

This was a fun easy read. Mal is a wolf caught by the enemy and planning his escape. Apparently all he needed was a little incentive to set things in motion. Along comes Olivia, a new captive. Will Mal be able to save her and maybe himself?
I have not read anything by Sasha Summers before but I enjoyed this book. Was this the next great novel? No but we need fun enjoyable reads. That is what this book gave and there was no pretense to anything else. I think Ms. Summers has some room to grow as an author but it will be fun to watch her grow. The book was a little short which made the plot a little bland but I think with time this world could improve. Three stars because I liked the book but it could have used so more to it.

When I started this book I didn't realise it was the second book in a series. I hadn't read the previous book and I think that affected my enjoyment of this story. Not everything made sense and I felt like I was missing big chunks of important information.

At first I thought the book started out slow or I missed something, but then it got better and I could not put it down. Great book!

ARC received for review

Second book in the series, and you need to read the first one so your not lost.

Mal was all kinds of grumpy and yummy. Mr Grumpy pants didn't want a mate. He fought that Olivia was his mate. Her brother is a piece of work. Someone needs to shot him.

Nasty Cyrus is still out there causing havoc. Maybe in the next book they can catch him. And I'm ready for Ellen to go.

Mal was left behind when his Alpha believed he was dead and had to save his mate. Mal has endured months of torture at the hands of his captors and they have tempted him with several females to try and get information from him. But his latest cellmate smells of honesty, fear and ...heaven!

Olivia is very, very human and was kidnapped when her brother left her behind. She has always known he was self-absorbed but she never thought he would save himself and abandon her.
She weirdly feels safe with the very unkempt male in the next cell and when he breaks out, she finds herself going along with the ride. But danger lurks and when Olivia is fatally wounded Mal does something he never thought he wold, he turns Olivia!

Cyrus is hot on their tale and Olivia is getting a crash course in pack politics and how to deal with going wolfy! Mal's wolf wants Olivia and so does he but his history won't let him accept his mate!

Mal is an extremely worthy hero but he lacks some self esteem after feeling worthless and abandoned by his pack, accidentally or not. Olivia has also been abandoned so this gives them some common ground to work from. Finding out what Chase and Cyrus is up to turned my stomach but I'm glad that a severe kink was put in their plans.

With babies, double agents, pack wars and romance this book is jam packed. Thoroughly enjoyed it and need to make I finish this series!

Admittedly, I joined this party a little late. I’m starting with book 2, which I didn’t realize, but I think I was able to enjoy it just as much.

At this point in the story, Mal has been kidnapped for quite some time. He’s been actively tortured in some horrible ways, but has managed to keep his head on straight. Determined to escape, he’s even learned (the hard way) not to trust people who are thrown into the cage next to his. It seems like he’s making slow but steady progress towards escape on his own until Olivia gets thrown into the neighboring cage. She’s obviously a human, while Mal is a shifter. She’s also obviously mortally wounded unless they can get her into better shape. Throw all that together with his animal’s inability to leave her behind, and he’s got an uphill battle.

They manage to make it out, but that’s really only the beginning. There’s lots of tough choices to be made in order to secure their escape (and their lives), but these two became a pretty solid pair. I was also interested in the wild cast of characters back in Mal’s home pack. I’m sure there’s a bit of backstory that I was missing, but we got to revisit most of it as Olivia stumbles through pack life. As an intro (for me), this was a great blend of action and romance. Definitely interested to see where we go next!

Really enjoyed this story! It was a free read now option so I figured I'd check it out. I wasn't really that into the whole werewolf thing but once I saw that one was human and one was a werewolf it made the story even more interesting! I really enjoyed this one and would definitely look for more novels by this author! Really good read!

Mal, a wolf shifter, wants vengeance. In the previous book, Falling for the Wolf and His Baby, he was left for dead in enemy territory. When a new captive, a woman, is brought in, he and his wolf are intrigued by her, and it isn't long before he's determined to save them both.

Olivia, a human, is caught in the middle of her brother's wrongdoings, and is sent to hell on earth. While there, she meets a man, sort of, and though he should scare her, he surprisingly makes her feel safe.

As Mal and Olivia, with no other way to pass the time, start getting to know one another, and though usually a loner, and bitter due to his  circumstances, discovers Olivia actually lessens all of it.

However, the days go on, as does their torture, leaving them no hope for escape, let alone a future.

Can Mal and Olivia break free from their prison? Will Mal ever be able to forgive his pack? Will he want to be reunited with them? Are Mal and Olivia safe? Or is the threat still there? Will these two be able to start their future together?

One-click now and follow along as two people meet under tragic circumstances and begin forging a connection that will bring hope into their lives.

Rescued by the wolf is the second in the series and we join Mal, who if you have read the first one, you know his story is going to be surprising. Locked away and struggling to escape, Mal has always been a loner. now there is a woman in the cell next to him and well his wolf refuses to leave her behind.

Olivia is a character that is so strong before her life turns to crap that her ability to survive her new life is extraordinary. Life threatening injuries, situations, and changes are going to put her through her paces and if that wasn't enough, her attraction and need for Mal is going to put all her beliefs and thoughts on a whole new path.

IT was a really great story and I enjoyed it a lot. I can't wait for more.

I’ve been looking forward to reading this book since I read Falling for the Billionaire Werewolf and His Baby, the first book in the Blood Moon Brotherhood series and Rescued by the Wolf surpassed every expectation that I had for the second book.
First off, it wasn’t until reading the blurb for the book (when I realised it was coming out soon) that I discovered that Mal was alive and my immediate thought was ‘awesome, Mal’s alive, he was one of the characters I was most interested about in the first book’ and my second thought was ‘Mal’s alive, oh boy, what does that mean?’
What it means is that from the first page of the book, you are swept into the story and dragged along at breakneck speed through the story.
Witnessing Mal’s transformation from a man whose only thought was of vengeance to a man who wants only the best for the woman he considers his responsibility.
Read the book and witness his struggle to stay distant, yet protective of Olivia, to keep a modicum of space between them to protect her and revel in the scorching hot love scenes and intense emotional connection that the couple share.
If you’ve been debating about reading this book, I highly recommend that you read it.
I believe that it can be read as a standalone and in all honesty, I enjoyed this book a lot more than the first book in the series.

4.5 Stars!
Mal and Olivia are such superb characters within this standout story. Thrown together in dire circumstances, these two not only overcome their issues but learn that leaning on each other is okay and learning to love is makes you stronger.
Though I was a little confused at the beginning, despite reading the previous book, because everyone thought Mal was dead, there was absolutely no reason to believe he survived his attack. I get that' it is part of the story, but would have liked to had some explanation for this before several chapters had past. Otherwise, I love this writer's work, and I can't wait to see where she takes the story next.

Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for allowing me the opportunity to read this series.
