ARC provided by the Publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Falling For His Mate has suspense, romance, and hot sexiness. I would recommend the book.

I was provided this book free for review from Netgalley and KR Press LLC.

As a brief description of this one, Andrew is an alpha second for one pack and Charlotte is a hairdresser for a different pack. They previously had a relationship and Andrew ditched. Andrew explains to Charlotte why he left and works to get her back.

Okay so I am going to start with what bothered me about this one.
I didn't like the explanation that Andrew gave Charlotte for him leaving.
Also I felt like things resolved themselves too quickly and the character reactions weren't the most complete or realistic

To switch gears I like the storyline of a man trying to get back in good graces with his woman and I liked the basic descriptions of the characters.

Now as a final thought take my review with a grain of salt because I haven't read the other books in this series so with the back story some of the things I didn't like might be remedied. Also I have read alot of paranormal romance so I might be a bit jaded toward what I expect out of a story like this.

Who this would be good for: Someone that is just getting into the paranormal genre. It is light on the paranormal side.

Andrew was second in command of the O’Shea pack. He was a wolf shifter and humans didn’t know shifters and vampires existed they weren’t ready for that knowledge. Sybil asked him if he knew what he was doing as the drove to Charlie’s packs territory in Alabama. Andrew had fallen for Charlie hard but had screwed up bad. Sybil and Andrew were like siblings and she called him a dumbbutt and he said ,maybe he was. Sybil added if he ever got her to forgive him, he’s going to have to get her wolf on his side too. If he had ghosted her like he did Charlie that her wolf would claw up his face on sight. On principle. He knew Charlie could attack him on sight. For the next few weeks or however long it took all the Alphas in the Southeast region to meet and discuss potential alliances and what to do about the rash of rogue vampires that have been infiltrating their territory, this was Sybil and his home. Each Alpha had traded a couple of their packmates with other packs. This logic was noone was going to attach another pack because if they did the packmates the packmates they traded would be killed. Andrew had to see Charlie to apologize and make things right. Mac MaCray stepped out. He was over one hundred years old. Andrew nodded and held out his hand. Every since meeting Charlie, Andrew’s entire world was off its axis. She unleashed his primal instincts that Andrew never knew he had. She brought out something untamed in him. Andrew agreed to work/help at Charlie’s styling salon but she didn’t know it yet. He was just going to show up before she had a chance to be gone if she learned he was coming. He wasn’t waiting until tomorrow. He had to see her. And hope he could convince her to give him a second chance. The thought f giving up his role of second. The pack that he loved ….it was hard. But he couldn’t stay away from Charlie anymore. She was his to claim. Her friend Erica asked what she was thinking about as she had the weirdest look on her face and her scent was weird too. Charlie’s scent was probably crazy because when she thought of Andrew she got turned on and POed simultaneously. Her emotions went haywire and neither human or wolf side had any control. She hated he made her feel unbalanced. It had been like this since they met. Then he walked in the door. She didn’t want to see her. It hurt too much. She thought about how she would react if she ran into him again. Andrew was different that what they'd shared had been serious, going somewhere. When she had went to South Carolina to her friend’ Alyssa’s baby shower she met Andrew. For the first time in hre life she understood what it meant to experience fireworks inside her. Their gazes collided and she felt the connection all the way to her core. Charlie had extended her stay. Andrew had started hardcore courting her. He had promised to come to the opening of her salon and never showed up. But no way was she trusting him again. He’d had his chance and he’d lost it.
I loved this book. Once I started it I didn’t put it down so I read this in one setting. I loved Charlie and Andrew and how they interacted I loved how Andrew was willing to give up his pack and his position in his home pack. I loved knowing charlie put his happiness or what she knew was important to him first. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

What’s it About? The premise is simple, Andrew had a quick and intense connection to Charlotte aka Charlie that left him frightened and he ghosted on her. Unfortunately he’s now come to his senses just when Charlie doesn’t want anything to do with him. She thought that what they had was the rare mating pull but when Andrew just up and left her it broke her confidence in him and she’s not willing to give him another chance. But Andrew isn’t going to give up without a fight and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get her back.

Overall reaction to the story? Falling for His Mate is pretty quick as far as novellas go and usually I’m not a big fan of them but it’s Katie Reus and I’m a really big fan of hers so I don’t pass up a chance to read anything by her. What I enjoy about her novellas is that while they’re short, they don’t leave a reader hanging and they certainly don’t leave a reader feeling short changed.

Andrew and Charlie already had a history together and I was glad of it so that more time could be spent on Andrew fixing what he screwed up out of fear. Bad Andrew! However, he wasn’t a bad guy, er, wolf. In fact, I liked that his feelings for Charlie caused him some doubt. No one likes an overconfident wolf. That bit of insecurity made him a better character and when he came back to win Charlie over he had grown during his absence and became a stronger, more confident wolf.

That doesn’t mean he should have it easy and Charlie certainly made him work for her forgiveness and he really had to work hard to get her to trust him again. I love that about Reus’ heroines, they aren’t pushovers but they aren’t unreasonable either. Because of Andrew’s abandonment, Charlie suffered some doubts about herself and the feelings of others towards her and that balanced out her otherwise tough girl personality. I loved how she still wanted Andrew but at the same time she was hurt, angry, and confused. It allowed her to let Andrew prove himself instead of her just giving in and giving him a second chance. Their romance had to be built again because of Andrew’s foolish choice to run away.

Falling for His Mate is strictly Andrew and Charlie’s story and while there may be one or two additional characters here, the focus stays were it should be, allowing for a complete and satisfying novella length romance.

I really loved this book. It was a great read in that it had more plot and so forth than nothing but hot sex. Granted the scene that did have it was still good. I would highly recommend this book.

What's a wolf to do when he finds his mate, gets the collywobbles and lets her go??? He gets his head on straight and goes beg for forgiveness, that's what!

Andrew knew Charlie was the wolf for him but when he starts second guessing himself and his choices, he lets Charlie go. He saw what can happen to a male when his mate becomes all consuming and he can't go there.

Charlie is still getting over Andrew. He hurt her badly, but what's worse she never told anyone she had found her mate so she can't vent to her besties or her pack mates! She had been planning to make introductions at her salon opening but he never arrived and she is not about to let him
ruin her life.

But Charlie is flabbergasted when he strolls into her salon, part of a kinda pack swap to ensure good behaviour at an Alpha meet up. She is NOT about to let him off the hook and no amount of grovelling is getting her to change her mind...is it?

I really enjoyed this read. The flashbacks to how Andrew and Charlie met were well written and I really enjoyed reading how badly Andrew put his foot in it! They have great chemistry and I was happy that Charlie really made Andrew work for forgiveness.

Perfect for fans of fated mates and second chance romance. If you like characters who try to fight the mating bond, Falling for His Mate is a good pick. Andrew really screws up with Charlotte and has to win her back. Charlie is NOT quick to forgive. She knows how she feels about him, but he broke her heart and left her totally confused.
I enjoyed the story and am curious about the previous books in the series. I like the world that the author has created. Shifters, humans, vampires all existing but humans are unaware.

Title: Falling for His Mate
Series: Crescent Moon Book #6
Author: Katie Reus
Genre: Romance, Paranormal
Blurb: He screwed up.

Second in command of the O’Shea wolf pack, Andrew Reid screwed up and let Charlotte walk away from him. Now that he’s come to his senses, he’s determined to win her back, no matter how much he has to grovel. Because she’s a woman worth fighting for.

She’s not willing to trust him again.

Charlie thought Andrew was different from other males, that what they shared was real—that their connection was the rare mating pull. But a true mate wouldn’t have ghosted on her the way he did. So no matter what he wants, she’s not playing his games. To capture her heart for good, he’ll have to prove he’s worthy of a second chance. Even if that means he has to give up everything, including his pack.
Favorite quotes: “I want to make it crystal f@#$%ing clear that you’re it for me, Charlie. I screwed up before. Big time. I own it. And now I’m going to win you back.”
Thoughts: The whole premise of the book is based on the angst between the characters because Charlie thought they had a connection and a mating call between them, but Andrew screws up and ‘ghosts’ on her. The implication for me from the blurb is that he has done something so horrendous that it needs to grovel for forgiveness from her, and that she is so mad that it will take a lot of effort on his part to mend the bridge between them. To me that whole premise feel short, so the whole book just kind of fell short for me. Charlie didn’t seem that angry, Andrew did little groveling, and neither of them had made any promises to the other or even slept together yet.
I liked it, but it would be pretty far down the list of my favorite books by this author. I am usually pretty satisfied with her novella length books, but in this case I felt like it needed to be longer and develop the characters and their supposed rift a little more.

Trying to resist your mate is impossible, sometimes it takes a lot of work to convince them you really want them.

"Falling for His Mate" is a short sweet novella of second chances. Charlie (Charlotte) and Andrew fall into a relationship while being from different wolf packs, but Andrew's panic over falling in love causes problems in paradise for the pair. Wolf shifters mate for life, and after being thrown together again by their packs, will Andrew be able to fix what he messed up with the love of his life? It was an enjoyable read but without much conflict or drama. I would recommend it as a good read for young adults that love shifter stories. I would also like to express a thank you to the author and KR Press, LLC for gifting me "Falling for His Mate". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 3.25 Stars!

This is the sixth book in this series. I love second chance stories and PNR. I would suggest reading the series in order so you get the introduction to these characters; it will make it a little easier to follow. This is a very short story with a whole lot of groveling. I liked the heroine Charlie; I found her to be sweet and so not a pushover. Andrew dated Charlie than stopped all contact with her because the idea of turning into his dad scared him. Now he’s back in her life and plans to grovel till she takes him back. I wished these characters had a little more heat in their sexy time, I found it to be sweet heat. But you’ll have to read it to see for yourself.

A really sweet little read i just loved Andrew and Charlie's story a fantastic well written read and a great addition to the series i just loved it.

This short but sexy/sweet read gave a nice intro to this series without the full commitment of a novel. There was romance, drama, action, and sexy shifters all rolled into a quick read.

Andrew ran away from his mate at some previous point in time. We join him as he is trying to make amends. Sure, he could have probably called, begged, or otherwise warned Charlie that he was coming to win her back. Instead, he jumps at a paranormal exchange program-type opportunity and ends up stationed at her door. Okay, not really stationed, more like tasked with helping out at her salon. You know, the salon that he missed the opening of because he was a coward.

Charlie is still feeling the effects of Andrew’s dismissal and doesn’t exactly welcome him with open arms. She is definitely going to make him work for it, even if they are true mates. Even if you can guess where things end up, it was still a sweet and sexy read to fill a nice afternoon.

Yep, I like the books by Katie Reus, "even" when she writes under her pen name Savannah Stuart.
What do you do when you have finally found your mate, the one and only and - you are too much of a coward and really, really blow it?

Right, you go work in .... Oh, no, you have to read that for yourself! Anyway, he is definitely willing to do everything to get Charlie back!
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is sweet, light-hearted and - he has to fight for his luck. Charlie does hold out for a while but as any romantic will love to hear, she is not cruel about it and, well, if you hope for a Happily Ever After, well, you might get lucky. Perhaps.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this quick read. I haven't read any of the other books in this series so I'm not sure if the events prior to Andrew's ghosting is in a prior book. I did rely on the flashbacks. I thought the book was well written with great characters. I definitely will have to go back and read the others from this series.

If you are looking for a quick read and love shifters, you will enjoy this.

If you are in the mood for a short, sweet, second chance with some grovel to it romance, Falling For His Mate would suit perfectly. It also very safe with no other women etc. if that’s what you like.

Andrew, second in command of his wolf pack, completely panicked when he met his mate, Charlie, and then screwed up royally by not only standing her up but completely ghosting on her. Now he wants her back and Charlie wants nothing to do with him, and rightfully so.

My main problem with the book is we didn’t get the before. We are plopped down smack in the middle of the story. There are some flashbacks that eventually tell the tale but they just didn’t work for me at all. The way they kept popping up in weird spots felt really off to me. It would have made so much more sense and felt way less cheesy just to go ahead and start the story at the beginning, especially for such a short book.

Because it started in the middle, although I liked both Charlie and Andrew—especially Charlie, I didn’t get a sense of how deeply Andrew had hurt her and what exactly he had thrown away. It also cut down on a sense of the characters developing. I can’t say I completely connected to either of them.

The story itself was okay, once I got it pieced together but the resolution was so easy I got a more short story vibe from it than even a novella feel. In the end, it was just too short, too easy, and too safe for me.

Rating: 3 It was decent Stars

Katie Reus’ trademark style is this easy flowing, enjoyable, sexy mix, that makes you crave her books. I wasn’t familiar with this series, but I enjoyed Claiming his mate none the less. There’s comfort to the author’s writing and although the plot and the characters read very familiar to the genre, this was enjoyable and fun way to spend an afternoon. Recommend!

Falling for his mate is the second chance for Charlie and Andrew. While visiting another pack, and her best friend, Charlie stumbles upon their second in command. What she doesn't expect is the instant attraction and for it to be reciprocated. Andrew is used to going it alone, but Charlie stirs feelings inside of him he can't possibly ignore. WHen things heat up he makes a mistake that will end up with him separated from his mate.

When he gets a chance to see her again he wants to do everything in his power to correct the mistakes he made. Will she be able to forget and forgive? It was a really good and I seriously enjoyed it.

Andrew, second-in-command, and Charlie met when she stayed with her best friend for a few weeks. Their connection was instant and both knew it was leading toward a mating. However, as much as Andrew truly cared for Charlie, that also scared him due to witnessing his Dad letting his mate rule all. So, like a coward, Andrew let Charlie down, therefore breaking what was growing between them.

Charlie is home, her salon is open and doing well, and she doesn't miss Andrew at all. Okay, the last part is a lie, but he broke his word to her by not attending her salon's opening as he promised. At first, she was concerned, but after receiving confirmation, and not from him, that he was okay, Charlie resigned herself to letting go of him.

Andrew had other plans, such as volunteering to be one of the wolves temporarily traded to Charlie's pack. He knows he screwed up, badly, and vows to fix it while getting his mate back...and make no mistake, Charlie is his. Now, if he can just earn her forgiveness and a second chance.

Charlie is shocked to see Andrew again, not to mention that he truly seems regretful of his actions, but after breaking a promise once... As Andrew and Charlie begin spending time together again, Andrew finally starts revealing parts of himself, including why he acted as he did. Though Charlie can understand his hesitancy, she's also hurt he assumed she would do anything like that to him.

Can Andrew prove to Charlie he'll never let her down again? Will Charlie give Andrew a second chance? As they each have obligations to their respective packs, especially Andrew, what happens next? Is there a HEA for these two?

One-click and follow along as two people are given a second chance to explore the bond growing between them. Also, for those questioning the safety as there is a separation period, both are celibate during it.

Another great read from Katie Reus! I love the world that Reus has created in the Crescent Moon series. In fact, I read this installment in a single sitting.

Andrew totally screwed up, and he knows it. He panicked and ghosted on the most important person in his life, Charlotte (Charlie). He let his own fears, insecurities and past blind him to what was right in front of him. He knows it's going to be tough road, but his 100% in to make it up to Charlie.

Charlie just wanted to have something she did on her own. She loves her pack, but she also wanted to create something that was hers. When Andrew missed the opening for her salon, she just worried at first, until she confirmed he was whole and healthy. Then she was just plain hurt and angry.

Reus' characters drawn you in and there's no way to resist them. Andrew and Charlie are no exception. You'll want to fall for them!
