Evangeline Tregre escaped the bayou and her leopard legacy to make a home for herself in San Anotnio. The bakery she opened is her pride and joy and she has given it everything she has. When Alonzo Massi walks in, she instinctively knows he is different. Although his eyes are ice, Evangeline can see a thaw when he looks at her. Dubbing him her “Iceman”, Evangeline looks forward to the days when Alonzo comes into her bakery. When a fellow leopard tries to tell her that it’s her duty to be his mate, Alonzo unexpectedly shows up and it’s then that Evangeline sees that Alonzo is a leopard himself. At that point, no matter how drawn she is to him, Evangeline wants nothing more to do with him. Evangeline’s childhood has made her leery of leopards and she has sworn to herself that she will never again be a part of a lair.

Alonzo Massi has carefully cultivated his Italian image to hide himself and his family from his Russian uncles. If it were ever to be discovered that he was alive, his uncles would come after him with a vengeance. Alonzo is a rare breed of leopard, an Amur leopard. Vicious and wild, the only person that can keep Alonzo’s leopard under control is Alonzo himself. All Alonzo’s leopard wants is blood. It doesn’t matter whose blood. Due to their upbringing, Alonzo and his leopard have a thirst for blood. The only time Alonzo’s leopard has ever been calm was the moment he walked into Evangeline’s bakery. For over a year he’s gone back to her bakery even though it threatens his life to have such a routine schedule. See, Alonzo has just taken control of a mafia family. He’s your complete anti-hero.

After a meeting with the crime bosses at Evangeline’s bakery, Alonzo learns that Evangeline is a leopard and it’s all over for both of them. Before he knew she was leopard, he may have been able to let her go, but not anymore. Her leopard is the only thing that calms his leopard and Evangeline settles him in a way that no one ever has. The problem is that Evangeline is terrified to be a part of a lair, which Alonzo realizes is exactly what he is head of. Between his brother and his cousins, Alonzo does have a lair and he can’t lie to Evangeline and tell her that he doesn’t have one.

I did like Leopard’s Fury and the uniqueness of both Evangeline and Alonzo. Evangeline in that she was so independent and didn’t take what Alonzo dictated lying down. She went through the choices in her head thoroughly and with a clearheaded for the most part. Alonzo was a mob boss, but it was a necessity, not something that he wanted to do. The last thing he ever wants to do is put Evangeline and their potential children in danger. I really felt both their plights and it did pull at me. Evangeline especially fought hard to decide if her feelings for Alonzo were worth the possible risks to their future children. If his leopard was a risk to their children. Another thing I liked about this book was that the sex didn’t come until the latter half of the book, so it wasn’t convoluted by sex, which Feehan books tend to be. Overall, a good read.

Rating: 4 out of 5.

First off I just loved this story so if you don’t want to read them all at least read this story. Sonia is on the run after her leopard saved her even though she didn’t know about her leopard. Sonia moved to a quiet town and has a pretty good job restoring houses so she bought a run down house with plenty of land for her leopard to run. When she is in heat she stumbles across another leopard who she mates with and they spend several days together but she can’t get close because her former husband and father in law want her dead.
Joshua couldn’t believe he finally found his mate but the human Sonia is too afraid that the Russian mob will come after her but what she doesn’t know is he is the mob.
This story had everything your looking for in a story with all the benefits, Sonia was made of steel and she would fight with everything she had win or lose.

I'm a huge Christine Feehan fan, I'm working my way through all of her series. I was thrilled to see a new addition to her Leopard People series and dived in. Right away things are hot and intense between Joshua (who we've seen through the previous books in the series) and Sonia. Their leopards are determined to be together but Sonia is NOT. Sonia has a sad backstory, has been hurt by men, and wants nothing to do with him so Joshua has a had road ahead.

Sonia is very independent. She's got a huge heart, is there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it. I liked that she wasn't a shrinking violet, she was willing to jump in and defend the people she loved without a second thought. Joshua is a typical Christine Feehan hero. He's commanding and strong willed and determined to get his way. He's had a hard childhood too and it made him strong and protective and he knows what he's found in Sonia.

Super steamy, strong willed characters and an exciting storyline, Leopard's Blood is another winner from Christine Feehan.

I began this series a while ago, and while it’s always been entertaining, it hasn’t ever really captured me. That is until now.

Leopard’s Blood is (finally!) Joshua’s story of finding his true love, Sonia. At first, I will admit, I eye-rolled at the “instant love” that brought these two together. I mean… really? But…………… I get it. And the more I read, the more I got it. Their chemistry was wonderful, and Ms. Feehan does a tremendous job of developing their relationship from instant attraction to a touching and loving pairing. The plot of the story is very well-written and is full of action, excitement and plenty of the sexy and steamy love scenes we’ve all (yes, you know I’m talking about you) grown to know and love from Ms. Feehan.

This book, in so many ways, is exactly like it’s predecessors. But what sets it apart from them, is the way the romance evolves. The way it grows and becomes something beautifully poetic.

Whether you’re an avid reader of this series, or not, this is one book that you’ll truly enjoy.

I voluntarily read a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and feelings are my own.

We are HUGE fan's of Christine Feehan's! So to say we were excited about getting this book is an understatement. Thankfully it didn't disappoint. It grabs you from the first page and doesn't let go until the last page. Leopard’s Blood is a sizzling story packed with sensuality! We really enjoyed Sonia and Joshua and can't wait for more from this author and this series.

This started like most of the authors other books. There is t anything wrong with the writing but the Insta love has gotten old. You didn't even get to learn anything about the characters before you got right into the sexy times. While that may be ok for some, I guess I need more story with sex.

Leopard’s Blood starts with a bang!

The couple meet straight off when Sonia’s leopard goes into heat for the first time, and she calls to her mate, Shadow. This is a change from many of the other books in the Leopard series where the heroine doesn’t shift forms until the latter part of the book. One of the aspects of this series that I really like is seeing the interaction between the two leopards, and the leopards and their respective human partners so it provided more opportunity for this to happen. Definitely a plus by me!

Joshua is much more patient and understanding than most of the other Leopard men we have met, which makes sense because he has a reputation as one of the more level-headed guys. He might actually be my favourite hero! Although paranoid about his mate’s security, he is happy to work with her and support her career, rather than trying to get her to stay at home. He also doesn’t mind her having male friends, secure in her commitment to him emotionally, even when she is still on the fence. This is a welcome change from previous couples – not that I dislike the he-man routine, but it helps keep the series from becoming repetitive and one-dimensional.

Throughout my reading of Leopard’s Blood, I was going to give the book a five star review for most of the story, but I decided to drop it down to four. Without giving away too many plot details, a serious altercation occurs which results in Sonia and Joshua’s leopards being furious with each other and although the humans resolve it, the leopards never really appear again, except in fight sequences. It felt like the story was unresolved and a moment I was really looking forward to didn’t happen.

4.5 Hearts Holy Hot Leopards! Feehan is one of the queens of shifter romance. And also one of the queens of hot love scenes. This book has everything a hot romance should have. Hot alpha male, strong female, bad guys, suspense and romance.

I loved the relationship between Sonya and her cat. And the relationship between Sonya and Joshua.

This series has been great. I haven’t read all of them and they can be read out of order or as a stand alone but those I missed will be picked up at some point because well Feehan should not be missed!

Brought to you by OBS reviewer Omar

It all started with heat. Sonia Lopez couldn’t be around any town people and even less any men, her leopard had gone into heat, and she knew she had to isolate herself for a while. Once in her leopard form and at night, Sonia lets her leopard, Gatita, run free to tire her out, but instead, Gatita cries out calling for a male or a mate to help her with her heat. Too much of Sonia’s surprise, a male leopard hears the call, and appears to them. After the leopards mate and become tired, both of them turn back into humans, the heat has already affected Sonia, so she also need for the man that has taken the place of the leopard who mated Gatita. Knowing that the mating heat is going to last a week, Sonia doesn’t want to get attached to Joshua, so she tells him to not follow her home and not to ask her questions of herself. Once the leopard heat’s ends, Sonia’s hasn’t, but she doesn’t go back to find Joshua in their meeting place. Instead, Sonia dedicates her time to her work and remodeling her house. Sonia works remodeling houses and three days after she stopped seeing Joshua, her boss Jerry tells her he has a new job for her that will help and will be great for everyone.

When Sonia arrives to the house to evaluate the damage and know how much it’s going to take, she meets the owner of the new house, Joshua Tregre, the man she met for a whole week. Joshua confessed that he did follow her and found out where she worked, and asked for Jerry’s company to send her for the job. He tells Sonia that she is his mate and that their leopards already know it, it’s just her that need to accept it. Even though Sonia has started to feel something for Joshua, she knows that she can’t have anything with him because she is running, and she is supposed to be dead.

I liked Leopard’s Blood, it was a good story that had a purpose and gave the reader what it was expected. The characters of this story, Sonia and Joshua were good for each other, and the other characters were also fun to read. We hear some mentions of characters from the past books, and some even make cameos in it.

“All the air in her lungs had been used and there was no more in the room. That dinner. That sensual dinner
and the hot, wild sex after, that had been Joshua, her Joshua leading up to this moment of absolute
triumph. He had tricked her, used her. Just as Sasha had.”

While I like happy endings and happy ever after’s, I also like when the main characters fall apart or do something that hurts the other person. I like this because most of the time one of the characters flees and the other one goes after her/him, and try to win that person back. In this case, I liked the events that happened after Sonia learns the truth about Joshua’s new “job”. Most of all, I liked that Sonia would do anything to keep her leopard save, even if it means for herself to suffer.

“‘You know that song by Taylor Swift, Wildest Dream?’ Sonia asked. She bit off the end of her fried zucchini.
‘That’s Joshua. Tall. Handsome as hell. Okay, gorgeous. But he has the bad-boy thing down. Maybe more
like badass. Either way, it isn’t going to end well for me.’”

There was a part of this book that made me laugh hard. At one point, Sonia is describing Joshua to her friend Molly and she uses Taylor Swift’s “Wildest Dream” song as a reference. If you hear the song you can see how it would refer to both Sonia and Joshua when she was only trying to use him to get over the mating heat. Mostly she is trying to convince herself that nothing is going to happen between them and that Joshua might get bored later on. Still, I like that song and I like that it was used in this story.

Like many of the other books in the Leopard People series, there are great battles between the leopards, but in this book, we also get to see some human vs. leopard battles. The scenes were great, and it shows that when a human is trying to save himself or a person they love, that person would do everything they can, even if it means being bitten or slash by a leopard.

“She kicked the large leopard hard with the ball of her foot, a perfect front kick, snapped put hard and fast
to his side, followed by a heel hook. She drove her heel into his side in to the exact same spot, hoping to
break his ribs.”

If you are a fan of Christine Feehan and her Leopard People series, then I recommend Leopard’s Blood. In this story, a couple meets at night when both of them need it each other, but after those nights they belong to one another and would try to do anything to keep the other safe.

LEOPARD'S BLOOD is book 10 of author Christine Feehan's Leopard People series and let me tell you it starts out with insta-lust and moves on to an explosive ending that no one could possibly see coming. Her characters, dialogue and the situations that bring them together or throw them at each other are always amazing and this book is right up there with the others. In this book we are taken back into the Louisiana swamp; a world that Ms. Feehan brings to such realistic yet vivid life.

The one thing that can be said for anything written by Ms. Feehan, her women have to be strong, kick-butt women to deal with the alpha men she creates. As a faithful reader of her Leopard series, as well as everything else she has written, I have watched Joshua and wondered where he would go and knowing the alpha's temperaments and bossiness ... who he would find. Sonia is exactly the right woman to handle what he dishes out. There might be a bit too much alpha going on and a little bit of forgiveness coming too quickly but that too is this author's style.

An added sub-plot to this book is the addition of Sonia's new friend Molly and her sweet romance with a local flirty cop. Molly is also on the run and that adds a number of tension-filled moments because she is such a sweetheart you don't want anything to happen to her.

If you want kick-butt characters, male and female; sweet and steamy romance; action; drama and suspense, then LEOPARD'S BLOOD is the book you want in your hands.

Christine Feehan continues her leopard series with Leopard's Blood in which leopard shifters battle the American mob from inside. Sonia, tiger shifter, is running from the mob and when she goes into heat she runs into and matches with Joshua, a tiger shifter. Great sex scenes and violent action.

Family, betrayal and love….

Having a new Leopard book by this author land on my kindle had me doing a happy dance and willing the weekend to come! I had drifted away from this author a few years ago but came back to find, once again, amazing reads. Whether additions to long-standing series - Leopard People, Dark, Sisters, Ghostwalkers – or new romances in the Shadow books, each one was a love story to savour and get lost in…. Joshua and Sonia’s was the latest and oh so good!

“I’m real, Sonia. One hundred percent real. You’re safe with me.”

Joshua could relate well to the horror that was Sonia’s childhood. He was raised away from the lair swamplands – and the past – that she called her own but he was deadly nevertheless…

“I swear to you, I would never harm you or allow anyone else to. You’re mine.”

Sigh… sounds pretty he-man and alpha, doesn’t it? Well, he certainly was! Protective, caring and pushy he knew when to move gently and when to pounce. Trust was something Sonia knew little about and a life of isolation meant the few friends she cherished were still kept at a safe distance. Joshua was going to push past any barriers she had and use every skill at his disposal to make her see him and what they could be.

I sit down to start reading and when I look up again it’s been hours, lost in a world of shifters and love that was equally raw, sexy hot and emotional. A touch of mafia and a whole lot of heat makes this another edgy, “get lost in another world” romance. Loved it and can’t wait for more. LOTS more!

Leopards blood

This is a shifter story about leopards named Joshua and Sonia.

This story begins with Sonia in heat with her leopard Gatita. This story is a bit different because instead of their inner animals being a part of them, they act like separate entities and they actually telepathically speak to each other and the other animals of their species. She meets Joshua while in heat and they engage in some very graphic sex scenes between Gatita and Shadow (Joshua's Leopard) and as humans as well. This heat lasts 7 days and with the secrets and past of Sonia she hopes when it's over that she will never see or get close with Joshua again.
But Joshua has other ideas after a few days pass he tracks Sonia down informs her they are mates and she's not going anywhere. Slowly Sonia begins to see that Joshua is not like the men in her past which she's hiding from and she begins to fall in love and trust Joshua but they both have secrets and pasts that come back to haunt them both.
Will they find happily ever after or will their pasts come back to haunt them?

I am only a mediocre fan of this particular Christine Feehan series. The Leopard People have been really hit or miss for me. So I was particularly surprised by who much I liked this one! This was such an awesome book. These two characters meet in really extenuating circumstances.

Sonia is the first female leopard who, I believe, really knew about her leopard before her first heat brought on her change. Gatita saved Sonia life and now she's determine to rebuild and live somewhere where her leopard can run free and she can be happy all the while hiding from her past. When her first heat does actually happen, she thinks she's finally somewhere safe. Little does she know that her neighbor is also a leopard enclave, and Gatita's mating calls are going to draw attention.

Joshua, and his leopard, Shadow, answer Gatita's call and together they do everything they can to mate Sonia and Gatita. Driving them to accept a lasting mating. But Sonia's skittish and Joshua is hiding secrets of his own. Secrets that will ultimately lead Sonia's past right to their door.

We've met Joshua in previous Leopard People novels. He has been a great supporting character and I'm glad he finally got his own story. All of the Leopard People novels seem to be leading down into some ulterior goal which I haven't figured out yet but I loved that Joshua's choice to step into this crime boss position force him and Sonia into conflict. I know that sounds weird but it lead to a pretty phenomenal story. I haven't enjoyed a Leopard story this much since the first one, Wild Rain, which was amazing! I also think that's were we first get introduced to Joshua, although it's been such a long time since I've re-read that one that I may be wrong. Excellent job, Ms. Feehan!

Oh, I just loved reading this book! This series is so amazing, and I really enjoy Christine Feehan's writing! Sonia and Joshua were a great couple, and I'm really happy that he got a happy ending, he's been a part of the series for a long time, so yeah, really happy!

We know all about the inserting one of their guys in to be a crime boss plot, it's something since Wild Cat, if I remember correctly. But then Joshua finds his mate, and things go a little wild! Especially since she was raised with a crime family, not that she knew it!

Both of them have had tumultuous pasts-she saw her dad tortured and killed, and then her husband tried to kill her. He had his horrible grandfather and what he did, lost his mom, and has been a part of Drake Securities. A lot of pain between the both of them, but together, a lot of pleasure and fun! Well, not before they had some troubles, like when he told her about the crime stuff and she thought he'd betrayed her. That was pretty intense! I would have had a little more time on the "father tortured in front of her" thing, she mentioned that it happened and one detail and that was it. It'd be a pretty significant thing, and I wish we'd gotten more of it!

The fact that he had a meeting scheduled with her maybe in-laws, that would've been a heck of a thing if it wasn't in a book! The Russian shifters have a horrible view about women, and so glad that Sonia isn't a part of that! Plus, we have a new guy to have a happy ending-Sasha!

I enjoyed this book so much, and I can't wait for more of this series, and more of Christine Feehan's books!

Joshua never expected to find his mate. He has searched the world only to find her right next door. But he has made choices that bring danger to anyone he loves. Can he convince Sonia that not only is she his but also that he will protect her always?
Leopard’s Blood is the latest story in Christine Feehan’s Leopards Series. I love this series and the men working to make the world better. They are good men doing a dirty job and Joshua fits in perfectly. I love Joshua. He knows that Sonia is his, he knows that she is fighting and he knows he will ultimately win. Sonia doesn’t understand half of what it means to be not only leopard but also mated. However, Joshua is determined to give her the best he can, especially since his world is so dangerous. And I really liked Sonia. She is battered but not broken. Ms. Feehan gave us a woman who found a strength she never knew she had. Losing her parents and the family she thought was hers forced Sonia to learn to be self-sufficient. She tried to be an island but that didn’t fit her personality. And Ms. Feehan gave her a man in Joshua who would accept nothing less than her heart and soul. This story is well written and the characters thoughtfully presented. I thoroughly enjoyed returning to this world with Ms. Feehan and can’t wait to see where she will take us next.

This book start of with a bang, literally and figuratively. I was drawn into the emotions that the author invokes right from the first chapter. Not only does she make us hot but she also added elements of mystery and love of a true mate. Joshua is an alphabet to the bone, but he also has his vulnerability to them that I found very endearing.

Sonya’s character Was very relatable in the aspect that she didn’t want to get too close, but you could feel that Paul the characters seem to havetowards each other was very relatable in the aspect that she didn’t want to get too close, but you could feel that Paul the characters seem to have towards each other.

I have to say the mystery, and actually aspects really had me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. I haven’t read other books in this series but the min asoecr was fresh and very nerve-racking.

I really did love it and plan to go back at some point and read the others in the series. I’m hook and can’t wait to see what has been written and is to come. 4 Stars #2OCCJD

I don't think there's anything Christine Feehan could write that I wouldn't read. Even when her books don't "wow" me (which they frequently do), they are always solid, action-packed, sexy reads. Leopard's Blood was no exception. I was caught off guard when the book begins with a massive sex scene. I thought "where is this going to go from here?", but it worked.

Sonia is on the run, hiding from the Russian mob after they tried to kill her. Saved by the leopard that she wasn't even aware was a part of her, she relocates to the Louisiana bayou. Sonia knows she needs to start over in a place nobody knows her, and Gatita (her leopard) needs a large, safe area to have freedom to run. When Gatita's first heat overtakes them, she does not expect to find relief in the form of another leopard. The opening chapter of this book describes the first meeting between Sonia and Joshua, or more specifically, their leopards. That first meeting ends up being a week-long sex fest for both the humans and the leopards. Wow. Wasn't expecting that.

When she is no longer in heat, Sonia escapes back to her real life where nobody knows she's a shifter on the run. Joshua Tregre has searched the world over to find his mate. After decades of violence and loneliness, he is overjoyed when his leopard finds Gatita right in his own backyard. Both Joshua and his leopard recognize their mate immediately, so he has no intention of letting Sonia walk away from what they started.

There is a big, complex back story here that has Sonia's history interwoven with Joshua's present life. Everything about her past and what she learns about Joshua's life now urges Sonia to run and not look back. She's afraid of being found by the people who tried to kill her. The more she gets to know Joshua, the more terrified she is of him being targeted because of her. When she learns that he has his own dangerous secrets, Sonia doesn't know if she can continue her involvement with him.

Unlike their animal counterparts, leopard shifters mate for life, and there's no way Joshua was going to let Sonia go. He was alpha to the core, possessive, protective and oh so sexy. He knew Sonia was it for him, the same way his leopard instantly recognized Gatita as his mate. With the danger surrounding both of them, Joshua had to use every weapon in his arsenal to convince Sonia that being with him is where she's meant to be. Keeping her at his side, and keeping her safe, are not easy tasks, but Joshua Tregre is up for the challenge.

I loved how Sonia and Joshua were exactly what the other needed. They were playful and feisty, their sex was adventurous and incredibly hot, and the book reached its dangerous climax at a perfect pace.

I give Leopard's Blood 4 stars.

LEOPARD’S BLOOD is the tenth installment in Christine Feehan’s contemporary, adult LEOPARD erotic, paranormal romance series focusing on the supernatural world of the Leopard shifter. This is businessman Joshua Tregre and artist/carpenter Sonia Lopez’s story line. LEOPARD’S BLOOD can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary although LEOPARD’S BLOOD continues to follow the author’s latest series arc focusing on the Russian and Italian mafia.

Told from dual third person points of view (Joshua and Sonia) LEOPARD’S BLOOD follows the building relationship between leopard shifters Joshue Tregre, and Sonia Lopez. Following the murder of her father and the death of her mother Sonia found herself indebted to the Russian mob. Escaping to the swamplands of Louisiana, our heroine works as a home rebuilder until the fated day her internal beast goes maddeningly into heat. Enter Joshua Tregre, Sonia’s neighbor and her would be mate who claims our heroine as his own. What ensues is the insta-lust/love between two people more animal than human, and the potential fall-out when Sonia’s past comes seeking revenge.

Like all Leopard males Joshua Tregre is an over –possessive, over-protective alpha who claims his mate before anyone else. His need to protect is controlling but our heroine needs to be protected from a past seeking revenge. Sonia is willing to place herself in danger to protect the people she loves but she is not as capable of defending herself against men and leopards twice her size. The back and forth, yin and yang of their relationship is somewhat volatile but unlike many of the author’s previous story line heroes Joshua Tregre is a little tamer, and not willing to break the will of his leopard mate. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense; Joshua needs to mark his mate to warn others of their mating. There are some scenes of light spanking (discipline) and toy play.

We are reintroduced to Alonzo Massi’s (Leopard’s Fury #9) brothers and cousins -Gorya, Timur and Mitya; Joshua’s right hand man Evan; Sonia’s friend Molly Sheffield, and police detective Bastien Foret; and Russian mobsters Nikita and Sasha Bogomolov. There are many mentions of, but no appearances by previous story line leopards including Jake Bannaconni, Eli Perez, Elijah Lospostos, Alonzo Massi, and Drake Donovan.

The world building continues to look at the world of the leopard shifter with mentions of Borneo, and the abusive earlier lives of many of the leopard males; there are some threats of rape, murder ands sexual assault but the author does not go into livid detail as in previous series and stories. LEOPARD’ S BLOOD, although bloody and violent does not go into graphic detail.

LEOPARD’S BLOOD is a story of fated mates; of a shifter breed capable of violence and murderous rage but a shifter that is also capable of romance and love. The premise is exciting and action packed; the characters are colorful and lively; the romance is provocative and seductive.
