I had the good fortune to spend five days in Florence last week, so a practical test of this book was possible.

It fully caters for all types of traveller to Florence - for the first-timer, there are suggested itineraries and even for those of us familiar with Florence, there are very interesting discoveries.

Beautifully illustrated, too.

Informative guide it one of the most touristy places in the world. The guide promises some great finds and recommendations.

I have always dreamed of travelling to Florence and having never boarded a plane before I thought it was time to look at the world of travel guides. When I was offered the chance to review this travel guide book on Florence I was very excited.
Having looked through this highly informative book I found that I was more excited than ever to travel now, especially to Florence with its sights, and experiences waiting to be explored.
I will without a doubt use these travel guides as I begin to travel around the world.
Now I just have to get my passport and I'll be off.

Absolutely beautifully presented guidebook. Photographs are amazing and the information is well laid out and really clear. Loads of helpful insider tips and suggestions for places to visit, shop and eat plus great advice on local transport around the city. Good section on travel safety for lone women and plenty of top recommendations for eating and accommodation no matter what your budget. The city map is really helpful and the suggested itineraries are a great starting point for planning your own activities.

A great insight into Florence, and giving you all the usual Time Out tips for things to do, and places to eat and drink. Having visited the city previously a few years ago this was a great catch up to see what had changed within the city, and also a great reminder of all the excellent things to see and do here.

Will definitely be looking more at going to some of the suggested places again when I next head back, this book has made me more desperate to head back again

I have traveled to Italy many times and have always spent time in Florence so when ever I see a new guide book I look at it as a returning traveler looking for something interesting I haven't seen or learned about, this book does that.   It had a lot of new information and is not the "standard" guide book ,  but presented in a very easy to use and find layout.  I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a less generic travel guide.
