Lauren is the CEO of her company and she’s getting ready to show the world a woman can run a company and the invention her team has come up with will change the world.

Antonio is the CEO of Lauren’s rival company and wants to take over her company. He’s an alpha male and used to getting what he wants.

Antonio and Lauren have a one night stand but Antonio feels they should like business be separate from pleasure.

Together they are explosive. They are a true power couple but Lauren’s not willing to give her company up.

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat and ends with a heck of a cliffhanger and can’t wait for the next book.

Acquisition is first half of the Takeover Duet. Billionaire romance done right. Both the hero & heroine are CEOs of billion dollar companies. The battles are waged on the business & bedroom fronts.

Acquisition by Chelle Bliss was a fast thrilling romance that left me panting for more! Right from the beginning I was hooked, line and sinker. The sexy banter will leave your panties in a twist, and will have you on the edge of your seat.

“You can’t stop what you’ve started. We’re at war, Mr. Forte. No matter how well you kiss, I’ll never forget the simple fact that you’re trying to destroy my company and, by default, me. We are nothing. We will never be more than enemies."

This was a wicked romance that seduced me word for word. Acquisition was a deliciously seductive romance novel that left me very satisfied.

A fun, quick (dirty!) read that has you wanting more. I'll be honest, I was pissed off when I realized that there was going to be a cliffhanger ending. I'm impatiently waiting for book 2!!

Acquisition is a great suspense filled romance. Antonio and Lauren might be working against each other in the boardroom and in business but theses two know how to work together in the sheets.

The storyline is interesting and kept me reading. Although I think that their story could have been done in one book

O.M.G. I loved this book so much!!!

I have been in such a reading slump. This book really helped! I had no problem getting to know the characters and letting them take me on their journey.

Lauren Bradley is the CEO of Interstellar Corp. Interstellar Corp. is her baby! It is her life! And as Acquisition continues on, you find out why.

Antonio Forte is the CEO of Cozza. He is bound and determined to acquire Interstellar Corp.

Let the fun begin…

“My body says yes, but my brain tells me to walk away – at least the part that’s still sober. The insanely hot man in the expensive dress shirt with his sleeves rolled up, wearing tailored black dress pants he fills out nicely, and a face so handsome he could grace the cover of GQ, wants me. How am I supposed to say no? Tomorrow, I’ll go back to reality, but there’s always tonight.”
~ Chelle Bliss, Acquisition (Takeover Duet #1)

Chelle blew me away with this one!!! I cannot wait to read Merger (Takeover Duet #2)!!! I have yet to read it… What is wrong with me?!?! Especially with the way Acquisition ended…

“I’d give up my world to be with you, Lauren.”
~ Chelle Bliss, Acquisition (Takeover Duet #1)

If you are looking for a mind vacation, read the Takeover Duet!

2.5 stars
Sadly this book just didn't work for me. I couldn't really connect with the characters nor the storyline. I am usually a huge fan of this author's work and was excited to begin this one, but sadly it at times had me setting it down without a second thought not sure if I even wanted to continue yet I pushed on hoping at some point I would connect with it. That didn't happen, but it could have been a case of it's me not the book situation.

A one night stand to beat all one night stands. But can it lead to lasting love?
This was an absolute gem. Lauren Bradley, CEO of Interstellar Corporation is on the verge of creating an engine to redefine aerospace technology. After news of a potential hostile takeover from their business rival Cozza International, she has a lot on her plate to manage.

A stiff drink at her friendly neighborhood bar is exactly what Lauren needs to unwind after a long day. Nothing like a martini and a sexy accent to turn her day into a hot and sweaty one night stand. But this one night stand has an unexpected twist.
Fast forward to the morning after and Lauren needs to prepare for an important meeting with Cozza. Guess who walks into her office? Sexy drop dead beautiful stranger Lou is actual corporate raider CEO, Antonio Forte. Now he wants Lauren and her company! Who is this man? Did he try to set her up? Did he know who she was?

While their business rivalry may make their relationship harder than Antonio wants, he is determine to prove they can have it all. He wisks relunctant Lauren away for a weekend getaway. They grow closer and he reealizes the two of them can be so much more than just sex and business rivals. As their time together draws to a close Lauren is left with a decision to make. Is what they shared together worth the possibility of giving up her dream and remaining in control as CEO?

The world of finance, mergers & Acquisitions holds a personal interest for me. I was seduced by the title and the plot. I immediately knew this will be my first book to pop the Chelle Bliss cherry. And because of the subject matter based in the financial world – it did not disappoint at all. Whoa, talk about the dirty talk and scorching sex! I did have trouble putting this one down. The attraction and chemistry between Lauren and Antonio is off the charts. It doesn’t take long for her to realize she can’t deny she wants him just as much as she wants to remain in control of her company. When Lauren and Antonio ‘s weekend leads to unexpected twists both must decide what matters most. Especially when a threat from Lauren’s past promises to ruin their relationship before it’s barely begun.

Chelle’s writing style makes it a real page-turner. You don’t need to be a student of finance to understand and enjoy. She made corporate takeovers sexy. Thoroughly engaging, it packed heat and heart. You have two perfect characters you will embrace and crave to get their happy ever after. I can not wait to read more from this author and its conclusion. Yeah, it’s a cliffy. However it leaves you wanting for more.

So this ends in a total cliff hanger......but, never fear, book 2 is set to come out at the end of November and the anticipation, I'm sure will be worth the wait.

This book has it all, a sexy, dominating alpha male, and a head strong, determined leading female. The two make a powerful couple outside of the board room but being they are in warring companies they have to hide their attraction, and possible relationship?

Loved this first book, excited for book 2.

Wow that was a hot little number!

I have seen adverts floating about on FB for this so when I was offered an arc copy I jumped at the chance. It was just what I needed, hot and heavy.

Never has a 1 night stand gone so wrong....or maybe it's right?!

But that ending! Is it November 28th yet?!

I dont know if it was just the arc copy but there was a letter missing off each chapter heading, ie 'chapte' and I kept on focusing on that!

A quick read with a cliffhanger that will leave you gasping, mad and saying "wth" all at the same time. I was planning on holdinrg off on any type of review until the second installment, but I'm just going to say read this and then wait patiently (not), stalk the author or do what I did, read a few of her books until book 2 is out and you won't regret it!
