I have loved this series from the beginning and this book stands even above the earlier ones for excellence and intensity. As announced in the blurb, Kate gets a shock when Michael reveals a secret he has kept throughout their relationship, a secret that she is not sure their relationship can recover from. The awesome foursome plus 3 dogs and the twins travel to his home town to address the situation. Kate's body radar is in its usual outstanding and totally depressing working condition but this time the suspect is not a friend or stranger, but the man that she loves. A lie, or a major untold truth, is more than enough to deal with but now in the midst of a separation of sorts, she must decide how far to work to reveal the true murder when Dale, friend and lawyer, insists that she stay out of it.

While the series is cozy, it has a much stronger connection with reality than most lighter mysteries. Watching Kate struggle, Michael's pain, and Bella's confusion feels as real as if it is happening to real life friends.

I received an ARC of Pre-Meditated Murder through NetGalley. I always review books that I love and this one is outstanding. Thanks NetGalley and Midnight Ink for the chance to read Pre-Meditated Murder early, and thank you, Tracy Weber for once again creating a world and characters I love to visit.

Yoga teacher Kate Davidson is back again with another murder to solve and new animals to befriend. A well written cozy with a happy ending is always a good find, and Tracy Weber's new novel is truly a gem.

Enjoyable read

Tracy Weber obviously loves yoga, animals, and most importantly writes a well plotted story.
Kate and Michael relationship is evolving but it hits a major hurdles when Michael admits he's married. It's not long after that his wife is murderrd and he's a suspect.
Kate is determined to find the real killer. There are satisfying twists and turns all through the book with a number of possible suspects.

I received an advance reader copy from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review.

Kate & Michael are in love and just when she thinks he's about to propose, she finds out he's already married. What follows includes a road trip, many pets, a set of twins, and some sleuthing by Kate after Michael's wife is found dead. While this book is part of a series, I had no trouble reading it as a standalone.

Pre-Meditated Murder by Tracy Weber, is the 5th book in the Downward Dog mystery series. Yoga instructor Kate and her boyfriend Michael are celebrating her birthday at the Space Needle and she's certain he's going to propose. He doesn't, and she discovers it's because he's already married! Their lives are thrown into turmoil and they head off to try and convince his wife, Gabriella, who only married him to gain citizenship, to divorce him. Soon after their arrival in Cannon Beach, Oregon, Kate and her dog discover Gabriella's lifeless (and murdered!!!) body on the beach. Kate and Rene (her best friend) must uncover the murderer before it's too late, and before they strike again! 5 stars to this fast-paced cozy mystery!

I enjoyed reading this book. This series has an interesting plat that I have not read before. When something happens to Kate and she realizes her life may not go as planned she has to decide what to do. Will she trust in love or will she fight it? Kate and Michael have been together for a while and just as Kate starts to think things are going her way there is a huge roadblock thrown in her path. What will happen between Kate and Michal? Thank you NetGalley and Tracy Weber for allowing me to read and leave a honest review of this book.

I enjoyed this book as much as the first in the series. It made me want to know what was going to happen next and it did keep me guessing!

The lastest in a murder mystery series featuring a yoga teacher/dog lover. While I enjoyed the earlier books in this series quite a bit, I thought pre-meditated murder was a bit choppy. The Northwest scenery is well-described, but the tension in the book comes from on-going relationship issues and I'm not so invested in those. Recommend for dog-lovers!
