There is a blistering start to this novel which creates considerable tension and immediately engages your shocked interest. Lana and Todd's son is almost snatched from their garden while playing. Halfway through the plot thickens and turns everything upset down and there are now two plots intertwined. I thought Lana was strangely civil about the duplicity. There's a disturbing portrait of a sick, damaged mind. The plot drips with suspense and it's no use being impatient as you don't know how it will end. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher. I shall post this on Facebook, amazon.co.uk and my blog link is below after publication day.

It took me almost five days to finish this book. It was so intense and so heavy with desperate ramblings from the main character that I was always ready to the worst to happen.
It was those kind of thrillers with a heartbreaking suspense in the middle of it all where your mind can’t rest and you can’t read all in once because your mind gets fuzzy and dizzy with all the information and the fear of knowing something you would never forget after reading it.
The story is so sick and so brilliantly written that you are so addicted to it from the beginning til the end. I’m always anxious so this book brought me to another level of anxiety. I can’t begin to think what would happen to me if my child would go missing, I don’t have kids and just thinking of this as a possibility makes me shiver in a bad way.
Lana and Todd are still recovering of an abduction that has gone wrong in the past year of their lives. Cooper is their child and he barely remember the entire thing but his mother can’t seem to let go since the police never found the kidnapper. Soon they get tickets for a two-week getaway from their nightmare and what should have been time to heal and recovers turns into their nightmare all over again when Cooper is abducted right under their eyes.
The two of them start running against the clock to find their son. Todd has some secrets you don’t really see it coming but understands in the end and Lana has her own demons since the kidnapper decided to contact her and make her go hunting for clues of where her son could be. The message is clear, no police and no help, she needs to find him on her own with the clues she gets from the kidnapper.
It’s heartbreaking, it’s breathless and if you love a good suspense this book it’s ideal for you and be ready for some heavy contents. I’ve never read anything from Richard Parker and it’s definitely something I’ll be looking forward to read more when he releases more books around.

I loved this book! The tension is amazing from the off and I was exhausted by the time I'd finished! Totally believable characters and a really good plot.

There is no slow intro into this book, it is a wham, bam, slam, straight into the action tense read that had my heart pounding.
Who is Mr Whisper? Why does he want to abduct children? Can the parents find them in time?
You will have to read it to find out.

First off, I have to say WHAT A COVER! I am totally drawn to covers and this one grabbed my eye immediately. I would have grabbed this beauty off the shelf and raced to the counter to pay – without even reading the blurb- all based on THAT cover! — just had to get that out there….

Set in Jaxton, USA – the reader comes face to face with fear, paranoia, obsession, loss, guilt, manipulation, abuse, damaged childhoods, shame, retribution, the need to be noticed – albeit for the WRONG reasons and the search for justice/the truth. Needless to say – it is one hell of an emotive journey!

I had high expectations for this book after absolutely LOVING Follow You but I need not have worried as I was hooked from the start – Mr Parker is a true master of suspense! This was one intense and utterly chilling read where technology is used very cleverly in this storyline – I WANT THAT *** No Spoilers***- you’ll see what I mean when you read this book! I absolutely loved the way this story was set out and it had me guessing the motivation right until the very end. Mr Parker is one TWISTED author — but bloody hell – I totally LOVE that!!

Character-wise – this book was full of mad, superb and utterly fascinating creatures of the human kind! Lana, Todd and wee Cooper were the main focus and really got under my skin. I could feel their fear. See their paranoia and almost taste their angst as each page turned. Life was never the same for this family once the baddie (*shudders*) came into their lives. Poor Lana was determined if not slightly obsessed at finding this vile creature who dared to take away her normal family life. Over protective but also quite vulnerable, I really admired her fierce loyalty to ensuring her family’s safety. Todd was so sure that Lana was over reacting, he was not prepared when tragedy struck again. However, he fought hard alongside his wife in the hopes that he could be the hero.

The baddie – OMG OMG OMG – great bloody name for a sinister, creepy abductor of children – I won’t tell you the name as it is all part of the build up to the story but talk about #namesthatmakemyskincrawl. I loved the story behind this – and the many twists that followed. Who is he? Is he back again? What the hell is going on and why? Like I said earlier – total master of suspense, Mr Parker. I want to say so much more, but I fear that would spoil the story – so I won’t!

So, the big question is….did I enjoy this book? Would I recommend it to others? Erm…HELLOOOOOO….this gets a total HELL YEAH recommendation from me — with bells on! If you are looking for a sinister, creepy, edge-of-your-seat read with a twisted, clever and cunning plot…look no further…just buy the book!

I thought this had a good premise, but right from the beginning, I found it to be far-fetched and unbelievable.

Wow! This book really grabs you from the first page and doesn't let go!
It's every parents worst nightmare to have your child taken and Richard Parker relays the fear and worry of both parents in a gripping way.
Cooper's Mum is using an app called 'Right where you're standing' to track gruesome murder sites so she can try and track the person who took her son. Little does she know that the use of this app is leading her into more and more danger.
Absolutely brilliant book which keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout.
I highly recommend this book.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for sending me an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first Richard Parker book and won't be the last, I read it over two days and loved how gripping it was. The reader is dropped right into the fast paced plot right from paged one. This book will be in my top thrillers for 2017.
I found this book an easy read with short chapters, after finishing one chapter you feel the need to read the rest. I didn't feel is was very different to the other crime thriller I read, for me it was what I hoped for and expected from this kind of book..
The book has many twist and turns and starts off with every parents worst nightmare, their child being abducted. Lana the mother has to see this happen and know there is nothing she can do to keep her child safe. She fights every step of the way to get Cooper back.

Wow. This is my first Richard Parker novel, I usually stick to lighthearted chick-lit so this was a real eye opener for me! I'm so glad I decided to go out-with my comfort zone and give this a try. It is the sort of thing that I would be absolutely glued to were it on TV, so I wasn't surprised to read somewhere that the author was formerly a TV Script writer - this would make an amazing movie/TV drama. We are instantly thrown into the scene of an attempted child abduction - every parent's worst nightmare - however, the incredibly brave Lana (the Mother) manages to fight off her child's abductor but lives the next few months of her life being taken over by the aftermath. She becomes obsessed with an app about murders, and obviously the possibility that this will happen again - after all - the abductor did say he would be back "tomorrow"...... there are so many twists and turns in this novel, I had to remind myself to breathe at times! Lana's husband feels responsible when the unthinkable does, in fact, happen, (is it all a setup?) and they both go off on their separate paths in a quest to get their child back no matter the consequences. I'm not sure I would be as brave or as headstrong as either of the main characters in the book, however, this is definitely one of those situations where you don't know how you would act until it happened to you. Not that I can imagine anything as sordid happening in real life, but I did say I usually live in a world of chick lit :) This is a book you have to concentrate on - there is so much going on - but it is so worth it. Gripping doesn't even come close. If you are a fan of mystery, thriller and suspense books, then this is for you. If not, this book is still for you. Highly recommended. Thank you to NetGalley, bookouture and Richard Parker for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This was an entertaining read.

It’s not so much twisty as it is super suspenseful – and creepy. In fact, I think it was the creepy factor that I loved the most. Part of it is that I’m a mom and the idea of something like this happening with my own kid fills me with terror. But part it was just he incredibly creepy idea of the horrifying little game that’s being played here.

Keep in mind that, at times, you’ll want to throw the ebook against the virtual wall when characters start doing incredibly stupid things. And there will be times when it’s just so obvious that something is going on with one character that it just drives you nuts that our girl can’t see it.

But it’s still a highly entertaining popcorn read and a fast pace thrill until the end.

I really enjoyed this. The story gripped me throughout and kept me on the edge of my seat, always wanting more! I would definitely recommend this to those who love a good thrilling page turner. The story is about Lana and Todd who win a family trip to a theme park. All is well until Todd is attacked and their little boy Cooper is taken. We follow both Lana and Todd as they both have their own ideas as to why Copper was taken and follow up on these leads in a hope to get their little boy back.

I was completely hooked from the start of this book. It was definitely a page turner and it kept me wanting more and more. I liked how the author kept the chapters short. This kept me engaged throughout and I was always saying to myself I'm going to read just one more. In terms of the story I didn't think the plot was as original as I would of liked. There were definitely some classic thriller tropes throughout however, I felt the story was executed well and this combined with the authors fast paced writing style kept me well and truly engaged. I enjoyed the inclusion of the 'Right Where Your Standing' app. I thought this added an extra level of creepiness to the story.

I enjoyed the characters in this story. I found myself rooting for the good guys and wishing for the demise of the bad guys. I loved how fiery Lana was and I admired her commitment to her son. I don't have children of my own but I understand the need to do anything to protect them and to me this came across well throughout the story. I also admired Todd's commitment and I thought his side story added something extra. I did however want to bang their heads together at times, families need to work together.

Overall I found this a really gripping story and I would really recommend it to anyone who loves a good, fast paced thriller.

Mr. Whisper is coming again...tomorrow.

Lana and Todd Cross think they've dodged a bullet (figuratively speaking). A man in a children's mask tries to kidnap their young son, Cooper, from their yard. Lana is able to chase them down and is able to wrest her son from the kidnapper but he promises to be back...tomorrow.

So the Cross family's peace of mind has been taken from them and Lana obsesses over Cooper's safety as the months go by. And Mr. Whisper hasn't forgotten them.

The start of this book was fast-paced and exciting from the first page and through probably half the book - but then the pieces started falling apart. There were parts of the plot that were unnecessary and cumbersome.

And the ending sequences just seemed like an information dump, with some out-there ideas and some that just didn't work at all.

I did like the very ending of the book, though, so that along with liking the beginning would have me rating this at 3 1/2 stars if I could.

I received this book from Bookouture through Net Galley in exchange for my unbiased review.

The book started out with an intriguing premise. A man in a squirrel mask tries to abduct her young son and Lana finds herself obsessed with an app called Right Where Your Standing, visiting the sites of kidnappings and killings and trying to figure out who it might have been who tried to take her child. She's convinced that, after failing in his original attempt, Mr. Whispers is going to come back and try again. It's an interesting read until Cooper is taken from Blue Crest Adventure Park. After that, I lost all interest in the story.

*Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.* 'Hide and Seek' begins with Lana, mother of four-year-old Cooper foiling a kidnap in her own backyard and the action doesn't let up from there. After the attempted kidnapping of Cooper by 'Mr Whisper', Lana and her family move into a small, secure apartment and attempt to get their life back on track. However, Lana can't let go of what has happened and has developed a number of obsessive behaviours to deal with her fear and anxiety. A family holiday to a fun park seems like the perfect way to put the past behind them, but then it all goes wrong. Lana's husband, Todd is in hospital, Cooper is missing and Lana is left to fight for her son's survival. A fast paced-novels with the usual twists and turns that one expects from a thriller.

Richard Parker has done it again! I absolutely LOVED Be My Killer. It was one of my favourite books of 2017. And so I was eagerly looking forward to this book and wow! It is a masterpiece! From the gripping first line this book takes hold of you and doesn't let go, the story taking you on a tense, nail-biting journey of many twists where nothing is as it seems. The writing is brilliant and packs a punch, the pace driving the story along and you with it. I lived this story and it is a credit to the author that I did not want the book to end even as I was frantically turning the pages to get to the resolution. And what a resolution it was! I absolutely adored this book. I am a great fan of this author and cannot wait for more from him.

This book is noted gory as what ibwas hoping. The author has a great ability in making me feel what the characters lives are like.

Every parents worst nightmare comes to life in this gripping read.

A well-written fast paced mystery/thriller. There were some slow parts I though about putting it down, but the author hooked me early and then slowed down and once it picked up again I was sucked din a bit and had to figure it out. Some clues were given and made it a little to easy to figure things out (which sucks sometimes) but the overall plot was solid.

The action starts immediately with the attempted abduction of a child and never quits until the last page. If you like a fast-paced, heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat thriller, this is it. My heart went out to Lana who never recovered from the attempted abduction before being thrust into a nightmare. The interwoven subplot going on with Todd added more intricacies and more action.

I really liked the start of this book. Completely in your face and chilling.

It starts with every parents worst nightmare, the attempted abduction of Lana and Todd's little boy Cooper. Fortunately, Lana rescues him and stops him from being taken by a man known only as "Mr Whisper".

Several months' down the line and Lana is still trying to figure out who tried to abduct Cooper through an app called "Right Where You're Standing" - an app that pinpoints where a murder took place. Then the unthinkable happens, Cooper is taken. How could this happen again? Was it Mr Whisper?

What follows is Lana and Todd going about finding Cooper from different angles. What is Todd hiding from Lana? Is it his fault Cooper was taken?

This is my first Richard Parker book and I will definitely read his other works.

My thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for an ARC of this book!
