The Speaker is such a strong and emotional continuation to The Reader. My heart was pounding throughout and I was so scared for these characters and for what was to come. I honestly fell in love with the characters even more and respected them with everything they had been through. Sefia and Archer's story is so unique and they just have this special bond which cannot be replaced.

They are one of a kind and have this connection that I wish I had with someone. It is a relationship based on trust and differences despite the many obstacles they faced. They make an such excellent team and I was so happy to see them make new friends and learn on their journey.

Every single scene in this book was exciting and I could not put this book down. Particularly the ones with the Guard and the Pirates. Mostly, it was the scenes with Archer and his difficulties in facing his inner demons which made me like him even more. Him and Sefia are such a well-crafted character which readers can relate to.

The character development of the characters (both new and old) were excellent with storylines interconnected with one another. I honestly cannot wait for the final book!
