I loved reading about Bane and Ruby again, what a beautiful and perfect couple.
In this short story we again see a bit of the Shacking up characters after the book ended.
Bane and Ruby are so cute and have so much chemistry together that I always love to read about them. I died of laughing in some scenes of them two.
In this case Ruby is planning a costume party for Halloween that gets out of her hands through the intervention of the odious Amstrong, Amie's boyfriend and Bancroft's cousin. What a man I really hate since the previous book.
Then they have the intervention of the moms of Bane and Amstrong as well, and in the end it ends up being a great charity gala.
I loved knowing more about Amie, because there are several POV of her as well, made me super intrigued, I already want her book to she get rid of the hateful boyfriend she has. She is super cute and with a great personality, and think that Hooking up will be a great book, I can not wait to read it.
And also left me super intrigued Lex, the brother of Bane, who also comes out in the book, I want to read more of him. I loved his personality and manner of being.
This is a short story very light, super fun, made me laugh with Ruby and Amie, are so beautiful and so good friends, with a lot of chemistry and sexual tension, and I'm also looking forward to my desire for the couple of Amie.
If you liked Shacking up this will be the perfect complement to this story.

Eye Candy is a compilation of stories from some of my favorite authors and their series. I specifically wanted to read it to find out what was next for the Fallen Crest, Alabama Summers, and Shacking Up peeps. I have written a quick mini review for each book below and rated them separately.

Fallen Crest Nightmare - 4 stars

This started out like any other Fallen Crest High book. I loved getting to know what all of my favorite characters were up to, and having Sam as the narrator. Then, this book took a crazy Halloween filled trip. I liked it, but it was crazy! It left me wanting more of these characters! I didn't realize how much I missed them!

So Much More - 5 stars

This was a super cute Halloween catch up with all of my favorite characters from Alabama Summers. Each chapter was dedicated to a different couple in the male’s point of view. I loved knowing where they were in life now. My favorite was little Noah’s, though. So stinking adorable!!! Now, I'm ready for the next full length book!

Getting Down - 5 stars

I had forgotten what a kick I got out of Ruby and Bancroft. Those two are so funny together! What I really loved about this short story was getting Ruby's best friend Amie's perspective on her relationship with Armstrong. That guy is such a dork. I'm really hoping there's a book coming about Amie and possibly a new suitor. Anyway. I loved this Halloween filled story based on Shacking Up characters.

Unsafe Haven - 3 stars

This was a sweet but suspenseful Halloween tale. I loved shy Jade and Oliver. The were so perfect for each other. I loved them both of them worked at a business that was set up to help those in need. Their Halloween was a little terrifying, though! I wish I would have read books about these characters before because I didn't feel as connected to them.

The Pumpkin Was Stuffed - 4 Stars

This short story was over the top hilarious! I couldn't believe the crazy characters in this it. I loved all the Halloween goodies throughout the story. If this was based on characters from a previous book, I need to read it!!! I loved Noel and Sam. I want to know how they began.

Overall, Eye Candy was an incredibly fun Halloween read, and a great way to catch up with some old book friends.

Before today Halloween wasn't one of my favorite holidays, but now how can I help but not like it again. A few of the stories included in this book were a little creepy while others like Getting Down by Helena Hunting with Bane and Ruby was hot, funny, sad, and amazing. I enjoyed all the stories in this book but now I need to read more; some of the stories were over with to fast, Thank you NetGalley and all the amazing authors for letting me read and review this book.

Is it ever too early to start celebrating the Halloween season?? The answer is no!
I loved this book of novellas! My favorite is Tara Sivec's crazy Holliday family crew! I love them and all their craziness.

I must say, this was an awesome way to get to see some of the characters I have come to love and miss!

What a great collection of stories! It has everything from outright horror to ridiculous over the top laughs and all the tricks and treats in between! Perfect to get you in the mood for the best holiday of them all HALLOWEEN!

Fallen crest nightmare by Tijan
I'll start by saying I haven't read the fallen crest series but it has been on my list for a while.

Oh. My. Gosh. This story had me on the edge from start to finish (and I don't even have feelings for these characters!!!) and night out before Halloween goes terribly wrong...that is literally all I can say without spoilers!!!!

So Much More by J Daniels

I adore J's Alabama summer series and this was a perfect short story catching up with the whole gang!
All of the couples get their own chapters with a great mix of sweet and sour with a huge helping a sexy (let's just say you get some more Reed love that is sure to make you need a cold shower!) and quite a bit of love and more than a few laughs! I can't wait for whatever comes next in this series!

Getting Down by Helena Hunting

Earlier this Shaking up started a new series and coming soon the second book in the series Hooking up will be released.

This story happens in between the two full length novels and Maybe gives a preview into who the male lead is going to be in hooking up! I can't even begin to describe how excited I am!
This story has all the sexy, witty fun we've come to love from Helena's lighter side. Basically it means you'll laugh yourself silly and still manage to blush!

What can possibly go wrong when you put anarchy amie and ruby in charge of planning a Halloween soirée...shenanigans, sex and some serious costume malfunctions!

Unsafe Haven by Bella Jewel

Jade has a crush on Oliver who works with her at a safe haven for people who are recovering from traumas. Jade is one of those people and her experience has made her extremely shy.
When alarming thing start happening at the center's Halloween party, Oliver and Jade and thrown together and find that maybe this terrifying experience might be the best thing that ever happened to them!

This story is all sweet with enough of a thrill to keep you guessing, I've never read Bella Jewel before, but I will definitely be looking up her books now!!

The Pumpkin was Stuffed by Tara Sivec

Remember when I said over the top humor, well this is where it is all happening!

The Holiday family takes all holidays seriously, it is their name after all! If you've read the rest of the books in this series you KNOW what is coming.
If you haven't read the previous stories (all based around Holidays obviously) then you are in for a ridiculously fun treat! However crazy you think your family is, the Holiday family is a billion times more! Be prepared for a sex crazed oversharing mother, a crazy decorating father, aunt Bobbie a recreational drug user and inappropriate touching aunt ( who used to be uncle Robert) as they celebrate a wedding and birth and the best holiday of them all HALLOWEEN!!!!!

So Much More by J. Daniels

These are short stories that will have your heart wrapped around with so much tender love and passion, but also have you wanting more steamy romance all in one bundle…
Four love stories that we know of, and now add a fifth one because ladies and gentlemen, Nolan is going to steal your heart and break many more in his way. All the beautiful BAMA boys are back, ready to conquer and enamor the hearts of those who read about them. Their partners in crime are there by their sides and hell, they are all just absolutely perfect! Obviously we know from the previous books in the BAMA series the situations that each character has engulfed themselves in. Ben with Mia, moving forward with a family of two little precious boys after the former, heart stopping news about her “sickness.” Tessa and Luke trying very hard to start a family, still with a love that can burn almost anything. Reed and Beth getting it on in a supply closet that is left suspicious afterwards… yeah, you read that right! Kinky s*** happens in these novellas. And of course we cannot forget about the newly opened couple CJ and Riley with their “honeymoon” phase and love that can conquer so many.
Overall, this is an anthology that J. Daniels has not only brought to sooth the angst of her readers for more BAMA boys, but she is also giving snippets of maybe future books in regards to other characters in this series **COUGH COUGH- grown up Nolan- COUGH COUGH** I enjoyed every word in this anthology, and I am so glad I read it because now I really want more BAMA boys!

Getting Down by Helena Hunting

Of course, one can never get enough of Bane and Ruby from Shacking Up, and honestly, how can one? They are both two unique characters that I wish I could actually meet in person. They both not only have charisma, but also so much spark that I seriously just want to become their third wheeler, JUST to witness the crazy stuff these two do together. Helena Hunting never seems to amaze me more than what she currently has. She not only brings a new story to the table, and introduces the gentleman that will steal the heart of Amie, but she also gives us steamy, and wonderfully written intimate scenes from Ruby and Bane that I was missing so much. To go into details about this novella, is juts not possible without any spoilers.
Expect more to come because Helena is not done with either Ruby and Bane, and also with Amie’s story, coming this year! I am honestly excited after reading this anthology because I can definitely see the spark between Amie and her “finance” **wink wink** Overall, I enjoyed this part of the anthology by Helena Hunting, as she prepares her readers for her next, upcoming masterpieces!

I love an anthology, themed novellas are the best. Especially when they come from your favourite series.

I had only read 3 out of these 5 authors so I read the ones I knew first and then the remainder.....just my quirky way!

Tijan's was gripping and totally scary and spooky swooning from Bella and the usual fabulous hilarity from Helena (was great to revisit the Church of Bane!!!)

Don't be fearful, this is a spooky treat. A must read anthology.

4.5 Stars!
Review by Lisa Kane

Tons of great reading in this compilation of Halloween stories by some of my fav authors. Some are funny, some are really scare (Tijan!) and they all have sexy over the top steam!

These read like long well developed bonus scenes that continue the stories of my favorite characters. Each author has a chance to delve into these new scenes so they don't feel rushed and the reader isn't teased nor cheated. They were all wins for me -this felt more like Christmas for me than Halloween.

I love this idea, most anthologies are short stories that always leave me wanting more. But with Eye Candy, my reading sweet tooth was well satisfied!

***So Much More*** by J. Daniels

After I did the whole 50 shades thing along with the Crossfire series, someone recommended the Alabama Summer Series by J. Daniels. Whomever it was that put the glorious J.Daniels in my life, I LOVE YOU.

This is a MUST read for any BAMA girl. You know the series is absolutely amazing and with this little snippet into everyone’s lives, it is even better. Ben & Mia, Luke & Tessa, Reed & Beth and CJ & Riley all make an appearance. The best part of it all though?? NOLAN!!!!!

Halloween is upon the crew and there are so many things in the works for the gang! It is great to get back to the love, sexiness and REAL relationships that each couple is experiencing. This novella was most definitely THE most swoon-worthy book of the BAMA gang, and that’s saying a lot!

If you are a fan of the Alabama Summer Series, THIS IS A MUST!!
5 STARS!!

***SHACKING UP CREW FROM HELENA HUNTING***
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!

I absolutely adored Shacking Up and it was great to get a look at them yet again around Halloween. Ruby and Bane are as HOT as ever and I was excited to get introduced to Lex, Bane's brother and learn more about Amie!!
5 stars!!

FALLEN CREST NIGHTMARE BY TIJAN:
Sometimes Sam just needs the touch of her man, "Iended up leaning against the counter and resting my head against his upper arm. It bulged under my touch. My hand rubbed down his back, ending and curling in on his sweatpants. It was my anchor, and I loved the feel of it. Mason dropped a soft kiss to the top of my head, then went back to cooking." I liked this story, I wasn't expecting some things to happen.

SO MUCH MORE BY J DANIELS:
Ben he speaks his mind to his woman, “are you gonna put on that hot-as-eff angel getup you bought and deny me, baby? That’s just cruel.” I really liked this novella, loved seeing all the boys and having the story in each of their perspectives.

GETTING DOWN BY HELENA HUNTING:
Bane could be a whiner at times, “well, they need to go. They’re obstructing my ability to rub my huge, hard ***k against your ***,” he complains." I loved seeing Bane and the gang again.

UNSAFE HAVEN BY BELLA JEWEL:
Oliver is a man of his word, or he tries to be, “you better get off my lap, honey, or I won’t be able to keep my word.” Oliver knows how to shower his girl with compliments, “this dress has been drivin’ me crazy all night. It’s so effin’ hot.” I liked this story I fell in love with Oliver.

THE PUMPKIN WAS STUFFED BY TARA SIVEC:
Noel's dad is quite entertaining, “hello darling Noel, hello *****le - Who - Defiled - My - Daughter . . . so, what do you think of the yard?" This story was funny as heck.
