I read J. Daniels and Helena Hunting story from this anthology and it was so good! Perfect for fans of the series, but not only!

Getting Down by Helena Hunting

This short story reminded me how awesome Ruby and Bancroft were, the heroes of Shacking Up. And raised to the maximum level of excitement for Amalie Whitfield story in Hooking Up. It promises to be really amazing and I can not wait. But let’s return to this story.

It was all in what the author is the best. Creations of wonderful characters and funny dialogues and situations. I am sure that whoever reads it will want to read all previous and next Helena Hunting books.

So Much More by J. Daniels

J. Daniels created something for fans of Alabama boys. Amazing written, short stories with each of the couples. And even Nolan got his share. And of course he stole the entire show. You can easily fall in love with this whole group.

All these stories connect the halloween theme, so if you like this holiday then surely you will have a lot of fun with these heroes and their stories.

Ok I read all of these novellas and besides bringing back some of my favorite characters, it made me SO ready for Fall! But that could be the 100+ temperatures for a week... Either way, this was a fantastic read!

Each story didn't feel like a novella to me because I just got so sucked in as soon as I started a story. I got to see a peek from each of my favorite couples, have some laughs and get a nice little epilogue of their lives together. A great holiday read!

So Much More by J. Daniels: 5 So Much More Stars!

Ahhhh...this little treat by J. Daniels was so much more!! It was everything that I could have asked for her as she treated her readers to five POVs. And within each of POVs, you can’t help but have a permanent smile on your face!!!!! This was the best treat that J.Daniels could have given her readers!!!!

Getting Down by Helena Hunting: 5 Church of Bane Cock!

What can I say but this little treat is why I LOVE Helena Hunting. She seriously can do no wrong in my books as all her books has me begging for my next fix. Getting Down reunites readers to Bane and Ruby and OMG...this couple just made me SMILE BIG TIME!!! Love these two together!!!! And as for a bonus treat, Hunting gives readers a sneak peek as to what is to come for Amie and the new hero that readers will be Shacking Up to in the fall.

Unsafe Haven by Bella Jewel: 4.5 Sanctuary Stars!

Unsafe Haven by Bella Jewel introduces readers to Jade, a woman who escaped an abusive relationship and who now works at the Sanctuary, a place that provide support to those who were also in the same predicament as Jade was once before. It is there she meets Oliver, a handyman that she is very much attracted to. As Jade and Oliver begins to spend more time with one another, their friendship soon begins to transition into something more. So if you are looking forward to reading a shy heroine who meets broody hero then this story might be for you.

It’s that crisp and spooky time of year when the holiday romances begin to appear, you know that Halloween (and Christmas) influx of delightful stories to sit down, curl up and devour like rich sweet candy.

Eye Candy is a fun, sexy, quirky, delightful grouping of five short stories in one anthology featuring several authors that I’ve read and enjoyed before – and a few new faces that I’m definitely going to go and check out their series. The short stories are connected to series, the list of stories you find in this Halloween themed collection is below:

Fallen Crest Nightmare by Tijan

Getting Down by Helena Hunting

So Much More by J. Daniels

The Stuffed Pumpkin by Tara Sivec

Unsafe Haven by Bella Jewel

I had fun with these stories. Truthfully, I don’t think I can say which one is a favorite for they all were tempting, entertaining and really good reads. I’m glad to have found some new authors as well so this anthology/collection was an all around winner for me. If you’re addicted to series, like I am, then these short stories will add to your enjoyment of series you might be following – or tempt you to start one.

I’d recommend Eye Candy to any reader who enjoys fun, quirky, sexy romances – especially when they’re Halloween themed and connect to a series.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

5 ABSOLUTELY PERFECT CROWNS - J. Daniels Novella

For lovers of J. Daniels's Alabama series, this novella is like going home. We get to see old friends, to catch up, and to see where they are headed, and I was enthralled by every single moment with this crew I love so dearly.

The one aspect of this novel that I adored is that J. Daniels really pays homage to each couple with their one chapter.

Ben and Mia are still that loving and steamy couple who show love and passion in everything they do. From the way they love each other to their boys, there is not one moment where the love of this family is not felt.

Beth and Reed are still HOT!! Holy heck, the passion and need for each other nearly melted my Kindle. But underneath that passion, we still get to see the love that brews beneath the surface.

Luke and Tessa are still my favorite fierce couple . I love the brashness of them as a couple and individuals, and their I don't care attitude. What always surprises me though is the passion and devotion they have for one another. How Luke and Tessa love each other is how everyone wants to be loved.

CJ and Riley get the ending that readers all wanted, and they way J. Daniels delivers it fits these characters so well. I laughed and swooned over every moment of their story.

J. Daniels will torture readers with Nolan!! My lord, could a boy be any cuter? Nope! I love him! I love where she is taking him! I need her to complete it!

This is one of the few novellas that I really enjoyed. I often find them to be incomplete or missing development, but they way J. Daniels devotes a chapter to each couple while connecting them together in the final one gave me everything I need. I couldn't have been happier with this story!

The only sad thing about coming home is you have to leave, and I didn't want to leave. Not only are these great characters, but they are also a great group. Their chemistry is off the charts as friends, and I will always want to return him whenever J. Daniels offers.

ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

Tricks, treats, and sexiness

I was tempted to read and review this anthology by a few feel-good authors who routinely write great characters and fun romantic comedies. Each story is a spin-off from a recurring series, so fans of these authors won’t be disappointed when they get to revisit their favorite couples. I did read all of the stories, and though I’m not familiar with every featured author/series, I was still able to enjoy each one. Of course it will be better if you’re really familiar with the series/characters, but I definitely think Eye Candy is worth the buy even if you haven’t read all of the included authors. I really appreciated the variety this Halloween themed anthology offered- sweet, romantic, humor, scary stories, silly antics, and of course HEAT. This is a collection that offers something for almost everyone.

Fallen Crest Nightmare-3.5 stars
This story started out a little slow for me because I haven’t read any of the Fallen Crest High series so I was missing out on some of the underscored elements, relationships, and references. However, once the spooky and suspense factor hit, I found it pretty entertaining. If you’re fan of scary stories that make you jump a little, this one is a winner.

So Much More-4 stars
Eye Candy features the one series from Miss Daniels I have yet to read, but because I thoroughly enjoy her writing style and characters, I quickly fell into this set of stories. Each of her heroes from the Bama boys gets their own Halloween short and each boasts a different tone- from sweetly romantic to frisky heat. This was a great way to catch up with favorite couples or, as in my case, a great incentive to read up on this fun cast of characters.

Getting Down-4.5 stars
I was really pleased to revisit the couple from Shacking Up. I enjoy Bane and Ruby together and always get a laugh out of their banter and antics. As a bonus, this Halloween short includes Ruby’s best friend’s point-of-view. Amie is the heroine in Miss Hunting’s next standalone from the Shacking Up universe, and this story was the perfect precursor to her book. Of course because it’s Ruby and Bane, you can assume there’s some crazy sprinkled in with a large amount of sexiness. This story definitely didn’t disappoint.

Unsafe Haven-3 stars
This was the hardest story of the set for me to get into. The characters didn’t reel me in as much as I expected, but I liked that the couple was all new (or at least so far as I could tell). I did enjoy the suspense element and I’m certain fans of Miss Jewel will enjoy this Halloween short.

The Pumpkin Was Stuffed-4.5 stars
The Holiday family is back at it again, and this time there’s a wedding, a birth, and Halloween. What could go wrong? Yep, pretty much everything. Miss Sivec never fails to make me laugh with her ridiculous hijinks, playful banter, and over-the-top humor and this certainly was no exception. If you’re a fan of her Chocoholics or Holiday series, this will surely be a fun read to get you in the festive spirit.

I was so ready for these short novellas and to experience a little bit of fall already with the Halloween theme. I was excited and so happy to have gotten to read more of our favorite characters from these amazing authors.

You get sucked in from beginning to end and you just don't want these novellas to end. You want them to continue and each short story was so unique in it's own way. We get all kinds, love, scary, thrilling, I mean it is all taking place around Halloween right!

I totally enjoyed each and every one of these stories and was happy to relive a little more from all these wonderful characters.

5 plus stars for these novellas!

Great collection of stories. It had a mix of humor, sexy-times, and some scary too to go with the Halloween theme. Helena Hunting's story was my favorite. I had not read her books before, and now I want to read them all.

This was a fun collection of short stories from a variety of different authors previous work. It was so fun to get more from some of my favorite authors regarding some of my favorite characters that they have written. My favorite out of these short stories was probably Ms Huntings. She can make me laugh like no other. It made my day to read more of Bane and Ruby. They are all Halloween themed and were a treat to read. I highly recommend this series of short stories.

5 "I need more Bama Boys and Bane" Stars!!!

I loved this anthology! All the novellas were ah-mazing!!! But I especially loved 'So Much More' by J. Daniels and 'Getting Down' by Helena Hunting!!!

***So Much More*** by J. Daniels

BAMA BOYS!!!!! Need I say more?! This short and sweet novella satisfied my thirst for more of this crew. I mean, don't get me wrong. I still NEED more of the Bama gang. I'll NEVER get tired of reading about these characters, EVER!

Ben and Mia are still EVERYTHING!!! These two just steal my heart. They are just so damn adorable, but then again, they're also so HOT, HOT, HOT! Don't even get me started with their sons, Chase and Nolan. Those two are so darn cute, I can't even. Ugh, I can go on and on about this little family, but you'll just have to read for yourself the other surprises that are in store.

Luke and Tessa, oh these two. I got emotional with their story. No spoilers here though. All I've got to say is, Luke had me clutching my heart. That man, gosh he's just something else.

Reed and Beth, oh f*** just as kinky as ever! OH MY FREAKING GOSH, that scene, ohhhh weeee *fans self* When you guys read it, just be prepared, it will not disappoint!

CJ and Riley, still as crazy for each other as ever. They're so cute together. CJ is just a cuddly teddy bear, I can't.

Seriously, 'So Much More' was oh-so-good!!! I loved getting a glimpse of how the lives of the Bama group has been. I hope for so much more for a certain character in the future. *fingers crossed*

***Getting Down*** by Helena Hunting

I was so excited when I found out that Helena was included in this anthology. I couldn't wait to see how the lives of Bane, Ruby and Amie have been going.

Bane and Ruby, ahhhhh I couldn't get enough!!! Ruby is such a hoot, I'd forgotten how hilarious she was. I absolutely love Bane and Ruby's relationship. My gosh are these two over-the-moon for each other. I loved their playfulness and the fact that they couldn't keep their hands of each other. I mean, if I were Ruby I'd jump Bane's bones any chance I had too. I can't wait to read more about them in Amie's book.

Amie, oh I loved getting to know her better. It was just a glimpse, but I'm so prepared to know more about her in her book. I can't wait to see what happens. And I certainly hope a certain someone is in her book as well!

I cannot wait for 'Hooking Up' November NEEDS get the eff here NOW! I NEED Amie's book right NOW! I NEED questions answered and I NEED more Bane and Ruby!

This anthology was so much fun!! I went in not knowing what to expect and ended up reading straight through every story, never missing a beat.

Whether you want to catch up with the Fallen Crest Girls in a creepy Halloween story, or swoon over some Bama boys or find out what's going on with your favorite couple Shacking Up or laugh yourself crazy with your favorite Holiday family, it's all here and more!

I am not going to go into each individual story, because they are all amazing in their own right and now I want to reread some of my favorite series. This will definitely give all types of readers something to read and enjoy.

So when I think of Halloween I also think of fall, cooler Temps, hoodies, Hot Chocolate and of course a good book. When I came across this Anthology book I knew that I had to get it for Helena Hunting novella Getting Down. It's a Halloween special with Bane and Ruby. I absolutely love Helena Hunting style of writing. I love her sassy, quick witted, funny, sexy characters. I love that she makes me feel everything and more in her books. I love how she sucks me in. I loved getting a sneak peek in to her next book coming out called Hooking Up- Amie's story. This Novella is a 5 star alone. I have never actually read anything else by the authors in this Anthology and was a little worried that I might get confused or completely lost with the characters in the other stories but I didn't. I felt Tijan story Fallen Crest Nightmare was spooky and I almost didn't finish it. Only because it was late at night, I was home alone and hearing really strange noises out side as well! Lol (t definitely kept me up and on the edge of my seat. Now I have not read the others stories just yet but I can't wait to read J. Daniels So Much More but I have to wait till I have more time during the day to finish this Anthology. I won't be reading this at night time! Lol I know I'm a Sissy. Both stories I have read have been 5 star story so far. Once I read the rest I will update my review.
