I thought this was a cute story for beginning readers. The chapters were short and engaging. What young reader doesn't enjoy witches and pets?

This has several stories which are uneven. My 5 yr old gdaughter only enjoyed the first and felt the illustrations were boring

Corderoy continues her series about Granny the witch and her young granddaughter, a girl named Pandora. Granny actually reminds me a bit of Aunt Clara from that old show Bewitched who has a good heart but her spells have a habit of not going as intended or causing more mayhem.

Three stories are contained in this novel that showcase the hijinks and hilarity that come with magic and a little bit of imagination. Even Pandora’s friends are treated to some of the fun when a decrepit fake snow carnival is turned into a real one with a slight flick of the wrist or in this case a wand.

We get a story that is ripe for the Christmas holiday season about a junky farm getting turned into a winter wonderland, another about a pet contest where magical help goes awry and finally a Museum comes to life.

Early readers will find these stories easy to read and the simple yet artistic illustrations will help move the story along. Teachers, parents and librarians will find these to be good additions and great learning tools not just for the words but also for the lessons imparted within them.

If you have a young reader who enjoys magic and witches then you should let them have a shot at this during the Halloween season.

This was a rather long story to read aloud to my children. While there were some cute parts in the story, it won't become a family favorite. We did have some nice laughs at least. They wish they had a grandma like Pandora's.

Hubble Bubble: The Wacky Winter Wonderland features three unique stories. Follow Granny and Pandora as they navigate through a disappointing winter wonderland, a pet show, and an art museum. With magic mixed in, you know you're in for a treat.

I read this book with my 7-year-old daughter, and she loved it. She's at the age now where she reads chapter books with ease but still enjoys the visuals of picture books. Hubble Bubble: The Wacky Winter Wonderland combines wonderful illustrations with short, easy to read chapters. She feels like such a big girl when she reads an entire chapter book, so finishing this book made her feel accomplished.
I appreciated that this book was divided into three separate stories. This helps keep the interest of the younger crowd. A 128-page book can be intimidating to a youngster, but knowing it's divided into three different stories makes it more manageable.

I also enjoyed the characters. Granny is a riot. Whether she's turning Pandora's parents into snowmen or changing Cobweb the cat into a cotton candy poof, she's always up to harmless mischief. Pandora is very sweet and relatable, and Cobweb, the family's pet cat, is a fun addition to the stories.
