Just a okay read.....not really my type of story.

This is the fourth Misadventures book and it stands out as a bit unique in the series because of its science fiction-y premise. It’s like erotica/romance for nerds/geeks and I am so here for it! It was super fast paced (though at times a little too break neck speed for me) and there were so many words (you’ll get what I mean if you read it). I don’t feel like I got to know the characters as well as I wanted to, but I think this is going to be a series and I will be reading it. This was smart, sexy, and fun and I can’t wait for more!! 4 out of 5 wine glasses.

I enjoyed Emma and Reece's story. I struggled with this book a bit. I didn't love it but I didnr hate it either.

Let me start by saying Angel Payne is an awesome writer, but this one just wasn't for me. I love my superheros on the big screen, not on my Kindle app. However, if you want hot and steamy with an out of this world theme, pick this one up.

This was an OK read for me. I've really been liking the misadventures books, but I didn't click with this one. I felt like there was a lot of sexy time, but not a lot of story for me. I was left with so many questions in the end about Emma and Reece. I think Emma and Reece were likeable characters and I was thrilled to see Reece let her in, but I have so many questions about the story. Maybe there will be a second book that will answer them all for me.

Oh boy... I hate doing this. But I think I'm done with the Misadventures series. I didn't like the first book in the series. Read/listened to a few other books by other authors to clean my pallet and consume something I liked. Came back and listened to this one on Audible.

Boy was this not something I can recommend. Without giving the plot away, I listened to over 6 hours of this book, only for it to end with nothing being accomplished. I don't know why Reece was targeted by the Consortium. We don't really know what was done to him, or if he is the only success up to this point. He says at one point, that he is afraid that the Consortium will come and put him in the room to do more experimenting on him, but this guy has powers now. Other than the shield or whatever it was that Angelique used to get the better of him, HE HAS POWERS! Not everyone is going to be able to keep him down. It just made no sense.

And if you are trying to keep your woman alive and safe, why would you do what he did? I just don't understand this book. There are so many questions/holes left open. He never explained why he was in LA. I didn't understand the faking where he was for 6 months. Was that done by the Consortium.

I just can't anymore... I greatly respect all authors for putting themselves out there. I just think that the formula, or whatever it is they are doing for this series, isn't the greatest. But I'm just one person and as I always say... take my opinion with a grain of salt. It means nothing in the grand scheme of things. It's just how I feel and I won't be venturing into any more of this series.

I thoroughly enjoyed every Misadventure book I've read so far, but there was something about this book I just wasn't connecting with. Perhaps it was the whole sci-fi/superhero element, but I honestly couldn't finish this book, which makes me feel bad to write this review. Maybe in time, I will go back and read this again to see if my opinion changes.

Such a wonderful read. I truly love this series. Beginning to end it keeps you locked in.

This was quite an enjoyable read and my first “super hero” romance. It’s also the first time I’ve read anything from this author. It was witty, sexy and entertaining.

I enjoyed Emma and Reece and the intense chemistry they shared. Emma was a strong female intent on living life on her terms and outside the ‘norm’ expected from her family’s socialite expectations. She was well ground and not swayed by the immaterial things in life; which is what makes her connection with Reece so real. While everyone else is “affected” by his and money, she sees home as nothing but a very attractive man that affects her body in ways she craves...but it’s not just physical and since Reece relishes in the chance she’s given him to feel again after secluded himself for so long, he has the freedom to be himself without any judgement from her. And in this wonderful, shared connection - a great live grows.

Though the story was enjoyable, I would have liked more character development and a bit more closure for the characters.

The premises sounded good but i had trouble getting into the story,

Reece is a super hero after my heart! This was a super sexy story with a little bit of everything in it. For starters there’s an actual super hero!! When you add some insta-love and super hot sex, I’m in! Paranormal is not typically my favorite genre to read but this book gave me just enough to keep me interested but not so much I lost interest.

There was a whole lot to love about this book. This was a fantastic addition to the Misadventures series! I can’t wait to read them all!

I did enjoy this book however a lot for me got left unanswered , I would have liked more action and to find out what happened with angelique , she can't have just ran off n left reece and Emma alone not after everything that happened , towards the end got better but it was quite a slow read for me n took me a while to get into

I really enjoyed the beginning of this book and until about 2/3 through, I felt is was a great book. I was not so excited about the last part of the book. This is the 3rd book in the Misadventures books that I have read and I am reading new authors and Angle is a new one for me. I have never read her books so I do not have a comparison on how this one was written. Emma looking to live her life not the one she is expected to live by her wealthy parents, Reese a spoiled rich guy who has everything and when his world is flipped upside down comes to realize that he was living a life of the rich and famous, but it meant nothing to him. A fateful meeting and an experiment that turned him into a super hero he now sees the world a little different. He is now trying to save the world one thug at a time, but is in the cards for him to find love with the life he leads now? A different approach to a love story. The idea of the story was well thought-out, I just did not like the ending. Bummer as it started so good.

Misadventures with a Super Hero is what Arrow would be if the producers were allowed to feature really erotic, realistic love scenes between Oliver Queen aka "Green Arrow" and Felicity Smoak. In this case, Green Arrow is played by Reece Richards aka "Bolt" and Felicity is played by Emma Crist.

When playboy, the heir with the hair, Reece Richards, is taken by some crazy ass women and experimented on, he becomes "Bolt" a man with electricity running throughout his body. He decides to hide out in one his family's less busy hotels, and that's where he meets the woman who will become the love of his life, Emmalina Crist. She's working the night shift when she finally meets her boss, the man all her coworkers tell her is "weird." But she doesn't think he's weird, she thinks he's electric, as in hot, really hot. Their insta lust isn't surprising, but it is sexy, seriously sexy. But Reece has a secret identity, and when that identity puts Emma in danger, will Reece bolt and leave her or will he stick around even after he gets rid of the force that's put her in danger?

I love watching super hero movies and TV shows, but I have to confess that I'm not normally a comic book fan. However, when a super hero is presented like this, within a steamy romance, I am so there. Misadventures with a Super Hero is a really fun, sexy read. Emma and Bolt/Reece are such an entertaining couple. They've got amazing chemistry, and their love is the epic kind that romances and super hero comic fans alike will fall in love with and root for. If this were expanded into a full blown series, I would read every single book and love them!

Reece Richards is hot hot electric hot!! Emma is just a women working the over night shif at a downtown upscale LA hotel when she meets her hot boss Reece. The chemistry is vibrating with electricity between them. Will the girl win the super hero boss?

Damn Payne can write a sexy time scene that will leave the reader needing a cool down.

Another cute addition to the series. Reese is a hunky recluse billionaire that Emmalina works for but doesn't meet until after his alter ego Bolt saves her. It was an enjoyable read with a few twists.

I was so excited about a romance with a super hero I am a huge marvel girl. Angel Payne does not disappoint. Reese and Emmalina are too hot for words!!!

My first read by Angel Payne and not my normal type of read, but I enjoyed the heck out of this book! Reece and Emmalina's story is super hot, fun, and add in the action and suspense and I was hooked from beginning to end! An enjoyable story!
