This particular Misadventure story from Angel Payne is a fantasy inducing romance that had me falling in love fast and hard and had me sighing every which way and I think, I had hearts in my eyes! I love a good romance with a sexy nerd who can save a woman and be all stoic, gorgeous and rich. And our heroine is strong, beautiful, sassy and can easily be the perfect friend.
This story swept me off my feet from the moment I started it. It was all around irresistible, sexy as all get out, has a few sweet moments and is just a downright entertaining read. These Misadventure books just keep getting better and better but Angel Payne might of topped them so far with Misadventures With A Super Hero! I could EASILY and HAPPILY give this a 10 stars! It was THAT good!
Misadventures With A Super Hero gets a MOUTH WATERING GOOD FIVE SHOOTING STARS!

MISADVENTURES WITH A SUPER HERO is the third book in the Misadventures series. Each book is a stand-alone romance with no need to have read the others, but I would still recommend each that I have read so far.
A new trope for me – a super hero, complete with the corny catch phrase, “Gotta Bolt!” I have to say I loved it. Between Reece and Emma, it is sexy, sweet, silly at times, but also serious when needed, there is a touch of sophistication, and a lot of geek … in other words: a lot like me!
There is plenty of action to keep the story moving. The sex is hot as Hell. I was laughing out loud many times as I read, and had a few “aww” moments, too.
This is the first book that I have read from Angel Payne and I am truly excited that the ninth book in this series is also from her, MISADVENTURES OF A TIME TRAVELER! I am looking forward to reading that one in March.
Note: while I was given this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

This is the 3rd standalone book in the Misadventures Series. This is also the first book that I have read by this author. I found that it was kinda hard for me to get into right at first because to some extent I found it slightly cheesy. I had a bit more trouble connecting to the characters in the beginning and I had set the book down for a few days and went to read something else. I did pick it back up and was a little worried & nervous if I would like it and could finish up the book. I was thoroughly impressed & please with the book by the end. I really enjoyed the storyline it for me was something different to read. The characters did gradually grow on me and I enjoy the chemistry that ignited between Reece and Emma. I loved the back and forth banter because of them. This story did hit a lot of feelers. While at the beginning this story for me was slightly harder to get into, I'm truly happy I stuck it out and finished the book. It definitely heats up and The Bolt leaves you electrifying hot and Scorchingly breathless in the wake of his touch!! I will be checking out more books by Author Angel Payne thanks to this book in the Misadventures Series!

This was a fun break from the typical romance book. You’re introduced to Reece, a former playboy turned “freak” with special abilities. When Emma enters his world, his super-protective nature comes in to play. Filled with action and romance, I enjoyed this book and hope there’s more of these characters in the future.

I have to be honest, when I started this book I was thinking some strange thoughts about it. I mean weird things were happening to the main character Reece, glowing fingers, come on... Now I guess I have to admit I ended up loving this story. Misadventures of a Super Hero was such a fun read and took me to places that my imagination wouldn't even go. I had a few laugh out loud moments and there were some very steamy scenes too. I loved the chemistry between Reese and Emmalina.

I am really enjoying the Misadventures series and Misadventures with a Super Hero by Angel Payne was no different. Though this was a little different in the sense that it is about a super hero and the woman he wants, I devoured the story.
Bolt, aka Reece Richards is Emma’s boss, as well as an heir to an empire and a known playboy. After being kidnapped, he is experimented on finds himself with super powers.
When Reece and Emma meet, you can feel their connection and chemistry. Emma works for one of his family’s hotels as a customer satisfaction manager. The sparks fly, the action kicks in and the story takes off.
Misadventures with a Super Hero was a unique and fast-paced read that will pull readers right in. These books have been quick, fun and sexy reads. Though they are part of a series, each is a complete standalone.

I thought the idea of Misadventures with a Superhero sounded really good! However, I had a hard time following this story and just could not get into it. I thought the characters were ok and did enjoy the humor in the book. I did think the story picked up towards the end so I gave it 3 stars instead of 2.

Misadventures with a Super Hero was an entertaining book. Reece aka Bolt ends up with superpowers & isn't too sure about them. Emmalina works with Reece who is her boss. She needs to be rescued & guess who saves her...Bolt. There are definitely feels for each other there & they have to figure them out. Reece hasn't been in a relationship since getting his super powers. I voluntarily received & reviewed an ARC from Netgalley.

Misadventures with a Super Hero is a sizzling hot read. The blush across my cheeks is now permanent!
Angel Payne has crafted this electric world in which Reece and Emma meet and the fireworks are immediate. The chemistry is explosive. I enjoyed the heat of the romance, the humor expertly folded into some exciting action. This book has it all.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish this book. As soon as we got to the magical sperm, you lost me I'm afraid.

Reading the book blurb, I wanted to read a book about a super hero. In the beginning of the book, I wasn't so sure, but it was entertainingly different. There were some hot sex scenes between this couple. This was an enjoyable read.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first book by Angel Payne and definitely won't be my last! This genre is not one I normally read but it was part of the Misadventures series so I dove in and loved it. This was a sexy, hot, fun read that had me laughing at times and loving Reece and Emmaline. Another must read from the Misadventures series!

I was giving the opportunity to read Superhero from Netgalley before release, here is my honest review.
First off let me say I've not read a superhero book since I was a kid and that was comic books but this isnt the kind of superhero your mom would let you read. Bolt aka Reece didn't choose to be a hero in fact it was made for him. After becoming a science experiment he gain powers that only one could dream of have levitation speed invisibility. He hasn't a relationship with a woman in a long time because he doesn't know what will happen. But when he meets Emma there's something that connects them and when they connect its one hell of a sexy electric hot time. Can he be the hero she needs and wants? In the bed? In the world?
This was my first Angel Payne and can't wait to read of her work. Thanks Waterhouse Press for make a epic series.

I can't even imagine how difficult it is to write romance that revolves around a Super Hero. This in particularly was the reason why I choose to read this book. And I have to say after reading Misadventures With A Super Hero, not only have I been enticed to read more of the series but also read other stories penned by Angel Payne.
There are so many components that I found interesting. Most of which was about the Super Hero himself - uncovering the backstory - the "why and how" a billionaire, tycoon named Reese Richards becomes The Bolt, figuring out his powers and what he actually does with said powers.
Then of course, there is the sexy, hot and smoldering love story with the heroine - Emmalina Crist. She isn't anything like Reece but another appeal is seeing how they make it "work". As expected the EPIC superhero reveal was the kicker of this relationship.
Overall, I thought the concept was terrific. It was a little heavy on the sex ( which isn't necessarily a bad thing ) based on my personal preference but the action and suspense somewhat balanced it out. Looking for something unique in the realm of romance, give Misadventures With A Super Hero a try!

My Review:
I am not sure how to classify this book as it was an interesting hybrid of genres… it was full of clever humor and snark, loaded with erotic sensual scenes, and had a sweet love story as well as a cute fantasy/Sci-Fi superhero crime-fighter base. Taken in totality, it was an entertaining tale that had me alternating between smirking, sighing, gasping, and searching out cool beverages to rehydrate. Written from my favorite dual POV, the storyline was amusing, creative, steamy, and intriguing.
I enjoyed Ms. Payne’s humorous descriptions as well as the banter and wit in her characters’ inner musings, exchanges, and quips. I seldom dabble in the fantasy or Sci-Fi genres, but I enjoyed the refreshing change of pace as well as Ms. Payne’s creativity in the development of her plotline and characters, especially the main character of Reece. Reece had been a wealthy party boy/player and a paparazzi favorite who was known as “The Heir with the Hair” and “The Billionaire with the Bulge.” Snort. After being misled by one of his conquests, Reece found he had been turned into a research lab rat “of human DNA improvement through electronic enhancement.” Reece was no longer just hot stuff, he was supercharged hot stuff as he could shoot electrical currents from his fingers – how cool is that? He was circling the drain in misery though and taking chances without care until his attention landed on the captivating, clever, and feisty Emmalina, who jump-started his heart and got the juices flowing.

Misadventures with a Super Hero' by Angel Payne is Book Three in The "Misadventures" series. Reece was a known playboy , was heir to a huge hotel chain that was well known but something happened to him and he wasn’t the same after, especially he wasn’t with another woman after what happened. But then he meets Emma and his luck may change with her…Emma has just started working at the hotel that Reece's family owns and Reece runs it. There is a lot of chemistry between them, like really hot and sexy sparks!!! Reece soon realizes how different Emma is and is determined to not ruin things with her, to keep her close until danger is after Emma and that is when Reece wonders how close can he keep Emma , for can he even keep her in his life? What a truly good super hero read with drama, angst, and fantastic passion and fast past read that kept me on the edge of my seat.
My Rating: 4.6 stars *****
"I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***

While everyone “feels” the weirdness of Reece, Emmalina just feels the currents his presence arouses in her body. They start their relationship fast, hot and heavy. So what if Reece insists his Velvet keep her eyes closed each time they come together. And isn’t it peculiar that that bruise on her bottom where he grabbed her feels like a burn?
This was a fast, fun read full of action, laughter and electrifying super hero feats! I loved Emmalina and Reece together as their chemistry ignites the pages with sizzle. With great secondary characters as well as a villainess, it also included The Consortium which I hope will show up in additional stories.
This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by NetGalley and Waterhouse Press.

I was excited about this third standalone in the Misadventures series. A steamy read about a sexy super hero - what's not to love? Unfortunately, my excitement didn't last long. The first chapter was intriguing and I was curious, but that curiosity quickly waned as I spent the next several chapters trying to connect to the characters. I actually laid this one aside and picked it back up several times, working my way through a little at a time. I guess that should've been the red flag that this one just wasn't for me, but I forged ahead and I did manage to finish. The story does get better toward the end, but it just didn't grab me the way it should have. There is plenty of steam, and even some humor, and super hero action to keep things moving, but the characters just lacked that certain something that makes a reader want to see how their story plays out.

I really wanted to like this book. I really tried. Turns out, sci-fi romance is not my thing. I could t connect with the characters and I struggled to get through the book. If you’re a fan of sci-fi or Lois and Clark type romance, this is for you. While well written, it just didn’t intrigue me.

Going to give this 3 stars as some parts of this story were excellent, the interactions between the leads when they were being honest with each other are the most successful.
Unfortunately I really struggled with the super hero aspect. There seemed a complete disconnect, almost as though it was written by someone who was regurgitating something they'd watched.
Don't know that I will seek this author out, but if I happen upon something else of theirs, I'm willing to try more.
