So, I might have said the last book in the Misadventures series was my favorite to date, but it's been replaced. I LOVED this book. Not only was it hot, it had heart and the story was very engaging.

Abby Medford is putting herself through law school and in order to do so, she works full time on the night shift at a posh Denver hotel. It's the perfect set-up for her because during the long night shifts she has the opportunity to study so she can keep up with the classes she goes straight to every morning.

Lucas Ford is one of the most recognizable rock stars out there and he's just had one of the biggest meltdowns of his career. Owing his record label a new album, he ends up at a high-end hotel where he plans to stay for the week to knock out the songs for the new album. The only problem is he isn't inspired in the least. He's got to find a muse.

When Abby dares to stand up to the rule-breaking Lucas, he realizes that there might be more to this woman than meets the eye. Lucas ends up brokering a deal with her to spend time with him during the week, which leads to them connecting and with Lucas having a breakthrough with his songwriting, but the catch is there is a definite end to their relationship. Will these two realize that they've never been more themselves than when they are with one another or will they let their agreement dictate how their future will play out?

This was my first Lauren Rowe book, and I loved it. I enjoyed it because there was heat, there was heart and there were struggles and revelations experienced by both Lucas and Abby. I also really liked how realistic the end of the story was. This wasn't a quick resolution, it played out like it could have in the real world and I appreciated that. This is definitely a great read!

MG OMG OMG, I think i am totally in love with this author. The book had me from the get go. I laughed, cried, applauded and cried again (happy this time) all while reading this book.
Abby Medford is a girl after my own heart. She's spunky, outspoken, wild and shy. When she met Lucas Ford for the first time, (her teenage idol from the age of 15) , she was very outspoken while trying to save her job as a midnight hotel front desk clerk. Even though she was out spoken and very strick in what she was saying, Lucas Ford was totally fascinated with her. When asked to bring him up so food, she goes and has a very strange conversation with him that ends up with her telling him exactly what she thinks of him. Enter her coworker Danica. Man i felt so sorry for this woman and best friend. She got put in the middle of something and she didn't even know was going on or what happened to bring this on. But being the one caught in the middle, we got to live through her and the message that was sent through her to Mr. Lucas Ford (Mr. VIP Guest himself, dubbed by him), this is where I was laughing my ass off.
Well things progressed in this so called relationship (trust me you will never guess this one LOL), and then about things changed, and I cried my heart out for both of them. Now both of them had major problems in their lives that was a catalyses to this demise.
But like in all books things make a major rebound and about 1.5 years later, they meet up again and they both end up with their HEA's.
I am so so so happy that I as able to receive this ARC from Netgalley in return for my honest review. Please believe me, this is my honest and very impressed review.

Can a teenage fantasy live up to her adult desires?

Confession, I'm sorta addicted to rockstar romance. Yeah, I've read over 300 of them. Of course I was excited to read this after getting a gander of the synopsis declaring it involved a bad-boy rocker. After enjoying every page, I have no problem adding Misadventures of the Night Shift to my #RockstarAlert recommendations.

Abby is determined to put her past behind her. She's purposely living the boring life she's mapped out for herself. Attending college to be a lawyer and working the night shift at a hotel so she can study during the 'dead zone' when it's not busy. Her co-worker and best friend is always trying to get her attention, pulling her away from studying. She's rarely successful, but when she mentions Lucas Ford she gets the desired result. She has no idea that's he's Abby's teenage heartthrob. And when said heartthrob shows up as a customer in the penthouse suite of their hotel, she plays it cool. Fortunately, her bestie is not around when Abby lets her crazy loose on him regarding hotel policy. She surprises herself with her passionate lecture on the law regarding smoking in the hotel lobby. Not that it did much good when he calmly told her to 'make an exception.'

Lucas is used to getting what he wants when he wants it. He found Abby's kindergarten teacher appearance mixed with her bad girl vocabulary intriguing. Wanting to see her fired up again, he calls down to the front desk of the hotel and requests that she personally deliver his room service order. When she shows up, he treats her like any other groupie and ends up on the receiving end of her wrath. The fire in her eyes lights a fire in his crotch. Unfortunately, she's not going to put it out. Nope, she told him off and stormed out of his suite using an even more colorful vocabulary,
one that a kindergarten teacher would never use. What would it take to get her to come back?

Let me tell you, my rockstar fantasies got played out in living color as I virtually experience the night shift with Abby and Lucas. It was so good, I might be heading back to that penthouse suite a time or twenty, I have those pages bookmarked. (wink-wink)

I'm enjoying the hell out of the Misadventure series and I can't wait to see what they have in store for me next. The line forms here...

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 'Incredibly Naughty, but Oh-So-Sweet' Stars!

I'm sitting here with biggest smile on my face, gleefully typing out this review.
From the first page to the last, this book was an absolute JOY to read.

Abby is a law student by day and hotel desk clerk by night.
When her teenage crush, rock star Lucas Ford, walks into her hotel and is not who she thought he was, she quickly puts him in his place.
Lucas is immediately intrigued by her vivacious, tell-it-like-it-is personality and asks her if she would like to be his muse for his next album.

Their chemistry was undeniable! I mean...WOAH! And as the story progresses you get to see how similar these two characters are, and how they understood each other on a deeper level.

What starts out as a wild, fun and extremely sexy week, inspiring lyrical brilliance, turns out to be much more than just words in a song.
Can they part like nothing has happened? Or will they prove 'it's all fun and games until someone gets hurts'?

Though, this book should be listed under: highly flammable; read with caution.
My-angst-hungry-self was pleasantly surprised by how packed full of feels their story was and l LOVED it!

This book was skillfully written with just the right amount of humor, wit and heat to match the amazingly heartfelt emotion and vulnerability expressed in Abby and Lucas.

I highly recommend you pick up this book upon it's release, you won't regret it!

This is the first book I have read by Lauren Rowe and it was not a disappointment. I mean all of us at some point in our lives dream about that fantasy lover. Abby's just happens to be her teenage rock star crush turned adult ass hat. I liked Abby's spunk and initially didn't care for Lucas but as the story went on it all made sense.

This is the first book that I’ve read by Lauren Rowe but I will be buying more as soon as I can. This was a very good book. Abby is working the night shift when who appears but her dream lover. Seriously, he’s the sexiest rock star that ever decorated her bedroom wall. Lucas Ford. But he’s a rude and obnoxious rock star who gets told off for being rude to her. That’s the beginning of a very odd relationship between the two. There’s definitely chemistry between them and boy, does it get hot in a hurry. If you don’t like to read about hot sex, don’t read this book cause it will catch the pages on fire. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book from Netgalley

Misadventures on the night shift by Lauren Rowe was so much more than the blurb promised. This was an erotic romance with some heart mixed in. Both characters have pasts that they still have held over their heads constantly. They just want to be free, but they can't seem to get there.

The gist of this story. Moody rockstar, Lucas Ford, stays in the hotel of a seemingly prude, Abby. Abby who has loved Lucas Ford like a proper fangirl since she was a teenager. This is a dream come true!

Their first meeting is a bit of a stand-off, but whatever goes down Lucas ends up impressed with Abby. This leads to interactions that are unexpected and very entertaining. I don't want to say too much, because I think everyone should read this the way I did. Without real expectations. Just know you should never judge a book by its cover, and expect more depth in this story than your average erotic romance.

Well written, hot, fun, with a dash of heart. Definitely a great addition to the Misadventures group of stories!

This book was really fun and a great happy ending. It actually had a great lesson about following your dreams and not living for other people. I loved Abby's butt kicking feisty attitude and her ability to put Lucas in his place. Did I mention the steamy great sex. Definitely worth a read.

I really enjoyed this book! It's the first book I've read by Lauren Rowe, so I was really happy that I found a new author to read. Novellas and shorter books can often feel forced or flat, but this book reads like a longer book. There is a fun plot and well-developed characters. The chemistry between the main characters sizzled and kept me wanting more. And while there was plenty of heat, there was humor, too. I appreciate books that advocate acceptance of people''s individual passions and quirks and this book does that well. The only problem I had was that the book felt rushed at the end. I felt it could have been crafted better from the book's climax to resolution. Overall, I enjoyed it and recommend it! A fast, fun, and sexy read!

Again, another Misadventures book that is swoon-worthy, sexy, and such a fun read. The chemistry between the two main characters was outstanding with fantastic banter. Another page turner that I was not able to put down. I loved the realistic feel to this story as well - it's not all sunshine and daisies. 4.5 stars

This was my first Lauren Rowe book and I ended up loving it. The chemistry between Abby and Lucas was HOT. Abby was leading a boring life when Lucas Ford, her teenage crush, walks into the hotel she works at. From there forward her nights are filled with fantasy while his are filled with inspiration. This book was filled with sexy scenes, lust, romance, heart break and hope.

This book was okay. I didn't hate it, I also didn't love it. Parts of it were erotic, and that's what I was looking for, and then parts of it glossed over the erotic parts, and I was like, wait, what? I'm also interested in learning more about the characters in the year they didn't see each other, but that didn't really happen in the book, which was annoying. I didn't really connect with the characters.

This title is a super fast and steamy read! Lucas Ford has been Abby's crush forever, but that doesn't mean that Abby will back down from him. As Abby's parents have made well known, she doesn't always make the best choices in life in their eyes. Lucas has a proposal though. He wants Abby to be his muse and jumpstart his creative motor. It turns out, Abby's brand of fierce is exactly what challenges and brings out the best in Lucas. Can they find a way to bring out the best in each other and move past the crazy proposal that boxes them in?
