This is a copy of what was I put on Goodreads:

I received an ARC of this from Waterhouse Press via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

So I generally don't read a lot of books like this but when I do, it's usually because I've read a bunch of far too serious books and I need a bit of a break/reset.

To be honest, when I started reading this at 10pm, I didn't expect to get so addicted it that I finished it by 12am. It had just the right amount of sass, totally outrageous fantasy scenario that I'm sure every woman has thought about at some point in her life, and of course the nitty gritty sexual bits. Believeable....err not so much but I think that's the point.

I liked it. It gave me that warm fuzzy feeling and I'd definitely read more from this series...you know....just to break up my reading list...instead of being a guilty pleasure. Well worth the lack of sleep.

This story starts off strong. The h, Abby and her coworker Danica-bff are working the night shift at a hotel front desk. Their snarky dialogue is off the charts. I did a double take. Women talking like this? I guess so. Women thinking like this? (Abby's thoughts are also profanity laced). This is a very fast read. The H & h moved fast.
I did laugh at their boldness. The Lucas shows up at the hotel-early in the book. He's a (very) bad boy rocker that's under pressure to compose his 4th album for his record label. He's had sort of a melt down. He hits on Abby and her last nerve. The 3-way phone conversation between Danica, Abby & Lucas was very funny.
Abby is in law school + working at nights. Lucas isn't a kid. Why were they so juvenile?
By the 30% mark, I experienced (at least) strike three in this book.
Very early on, I knew that I would never really identify with any of these characters. It just kept going beyond what I enjoy in a book.
So many have enjoyed this & will enjoy it. Not me.
I received this ARC from Netgalley. The format was not publish-ready. That was ok, since the writing flowed fairly well. I think that this was a bad choice for me. This wasn't a run of the mill Bad boy rocker meets working girl. This author went out on a limb. Not half-way. I'll give 3 stars for that.

very hot read, one of the better ones in the series and they are all good.

This one was captivating right from the beginning! I found myself laughing and gasping as I was reading and turning the pages as quickly as I could. There was plenty of heat but also a great story to back it up. Two souls with their own demons ultimately find a way to bring peace to each other. However, the best part was the ending. This one will keep you guessing at how it is going to end up until you get to the end. I was very happy with this one and recommend it.

Abby is trying to make up to her parents for her past so she has given up her dreams of writing and is attending law school. She works the nightshift at the front desk of The Rockford and it usually gives her lots of time to study or at least it did until their new guest arrives.

Lucas is a famous rockstar who is feeling stifled by the pressure of his current contract. He is obligated to complete one more album however so far he has made no progress. His management company has booked him into the penthouse for a week to regroup and get the album completed away from the distractions of his life.

From the moment they met he was attracted to her feisty attitude however her teenage crush was not who she thought he would be in fact he seemed like an arrogant jerk. He believes that Abby is the one to get his creative process going and they spend some time together every evening and they get to know each other as they really are but what happens when the week ends?

This is a hot humorous story about following your dreams and finding love in the most unlikely of places. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I really wanted to like this rockstar romance, but in all honesty, I didn't find much romance or much to like about the characters. When Abby meets Lucas, she's snarky and quick to put him in his place, and I thought that she would be a character I could enjoy reading about. However, it doesn't take long before she starts coming across as more of a doormat than anything else and when her past issues are revealed, I found it hard to believe she would have so readily accepted Lucas' offer. Instead of romance, I found a girl who is face to face with her teenage crush and rockstar used to getting his way and willing to take full advantage of a situation.
To sum it up, the more I read, the more I felt like I was reading a Pretty Woman knock-off without the chemistry or romance. In addition to that, there's the fact that the book went on for some time after the week was over, so by the time this pair did see each other again to get their happy ending, it was just too little, too late. I will add that the conclusion did have the potential for romance if it hadn't taken so long to get there, but that was blown by Lucas' comment about the many other women he's had while they were apart, which wouldn't have been nearly as bad if Abby hadn't been naked and in his arms at the time. Overall, I'd have to say that yes, the steamy scenes were quite vivid, but the story was a disappointment.

Lawsy me! *fans self* This had to be one of the sexiest books I have ever read! I think my kindle was on fire…. *Drools* I absolutely love me a bad-boy rockstar and other dirty things that happened that I can’t mention because it would ruin the story. But hot damn! This book was fantastic, sexy, romantic, smart and adventurous. I give this book 5 out of 5 sexy stars!

This book is one of my fav from Misadventures series.
It has all the feelings. I laugh, got teary, I feel the pain, get frustrated, and definitely got hot and bothered.
A bad boy rockstar and a hotel clerk. This one has interesting story.
It hooked me with the banter between characters from the beginning.

As for characters. I love Lucas. Well, who doesn't love bad boy or who doesn't love a rockstar. Even when he's acting like a prick, I stil can't not love him. He's a bad boy but has a good and sweet heart.
And Abby. I like this girl. She's a witty feisty girl.
Love this couple. They're different but so perfect for each other.

If you love rom-com read. This one is a must for you.

I absolutely loved this read and could not put it down once I started reading it. This was a hot, sexy and fun read that had everything I love to read in one book. The storyline I absolutely loved and the writing was flawless. The banter between the main characters was so much fun to read and the chemistry between them was so apparent that I knew they were meant to be together from the very start.

Holy Hot Daym!

Wow what an additive story! I have a whole new perspective on an artist’s muse now. Lucas and Abby's adventures, or rather misadventures, during her night shift were nothing short of mouth watering and delicious.

Lucas Ford is a rock star stuck with zero inspiration for his next album. He's intent on getting this album done so he can break free from his record label. But with no inspiration and a long year of writers block he has nothing. Along comes Abby, this sweet looking girl who has a sassy mouth and turns out to be a little firecracker under that innocent facade. She finally gets Lucas inspired and the lyrics and chords to a new hit flow straight out of him. Not wanting to let that inspiration go he hires Abby to be his muse for the week. These two holed up in Penthouse A for the week is EXPLOSIVE! Their story melts right off the page and will melt your panties, too!

Lauren Rowe always delivers with an immediately addicting story but this one was on a whole new level. She didn’t hold back. This story was deliciously steamy. I was left panting and wishing I could be someone’s muse.

This was a great read from a new to me author and another great addition to this wonderful standalone series of books in this misadventure series. Lauren Rowe did a great job with starting this story right off when rockstar Lucas Ford ends up at the hotel that Abby Medford works the night shift while she is going to law school and he is trying to hide out while he tries to write his final record with the the record label. What he realizes is that Abby helps him find his emotions and muse. But they also both find out that they may be falling each other.

This is one of my favorite books so far, this was so interesting and fun you i wasn’t expecting this story.

'And there he is in the doorway. My teenage fantasy. Shirtless, all grown-up, and looking sexy as hell.'

Working the night shift at a popular Denver hotel has allowed Abby Medford to enjoy a little peace and quiet and use the down time to study for her law school classes. Her previously quiet nights become a whole lot more interesting the day her teenage crush, rock star Lucas Ford shows up and checks into the penthouse suite of her hotel. After a fiery exchange during their first meeting, she is shocked when Lucas calls down and requests that she personally delivers his room service. She’s even more shocked when Lucas makes a proposition for her to help him in an erotic game to help him find inspiration for his next album, a game that she’s more than willing to play even if she risks losing her heart in the process.

I’m going to start by saying that if you like your books dirty, then this one might be for you, because it was diiirrrty!! Get ready to blush, because Abby and Lucas are up for pretty much anything and that’s basically how it goes down. I had to suspend a certain level of reality while reading this one because I think bits of the storyline were a little farfetched but in a way, the things that happened were in line with Abby and Lucas’ characters. It’s just that there was very little about either of them that I could personally relate to so it made it hard for me to believe some of the stuff that was happening. Eventually I did start to soften toward these two, once you start to learn a little more about them and see them grow a bit as people. As a whole, though, this was another quick and dirty romp that we’ve come to expect from these misadventures.

“I’ll never be able to thank you enough for what you’ve done for me. Lucas, you saved me.”
“All I did was return the favor after you saved me.”

Abby Medford works the front desk on the night shift at a hotel, mainly so she has the down time to study for school. She's punishing herself for deeds in her past and trying to make others happy, but when her teenage crush Lucas Ford becomes a guest at the hotel, all bets are off.
Abby and Lucas soon come up with an arrangement after all of her "take no crap" attitude becomes inspiring for him, but can she help him get free of his record label without losing her heart in the process...a highly enjoyable read!

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I picked up this story, but I have to say by the end of it, I was very glad that I had gotten a chance to read it!

First of all, I loved the entire premise of the story! I highly enjoyed the interactions of Abby and Lucas, and loved them together as a couple! I wound up laughing several times at the antics of one or both of them, and absolutely hated it when Abby called it off with Lucas. The latter two chapters of the book, where it relates what happens to Abby over the years, was the one detracting factor in the book for me, as I didn't enjoy the "stream of consciousness" dump that the ending wound up being. I did cheer at the end of the book though, and had a total "Aww" moment!

For me, this was by far the BEST Misadventures book to date!

Thank you Net-Galley, publisher and author for the advance reader copy of this book.

This is the hottest of the misadventures series so far. Yes it is Erotica but so much more than that. It has heart felt moments, emotional devastating moments. Lucas and Abby are amazing characters who can't break free of the past. Lucas has the record label on his ass making life hell and Abby has her parents riding her.

Will either one be able to break free and find what truly makes them happy? One click this on release day!
This is the first time I have read this author and I am so glad I did!!!

I am really enjoying this Misadventure series. It is such a wide variety of stories from some of the great romance authors.

Abby Medford is a law student who works the night shift in a hotel in order to pay her educational expenses and it allows her time to study during work since there is a "dead time" during her shift. Abby doesn't really want to be a lawyer but she is trying to make up for all the things and hard times that she gave her parents when she was in her late teens.

Lucas Ford is a pop star who seems to be going through a rough time in his career. At his last concert, he got upset and walked off the stage. There is also a sex tape out of him for the internet to see. His record label puts him up in the hotel that Abby works at for a week to let him come up with songs for his last album with the record label. Lucas has to come up with songs that is just like his last hit single but Lucas doesn't think he can do it because he doesn't think he can come up with a song that is just like his biggest hit.

When Lucas meets Abby, sparks fly but it is more of the fact that Abby won't put up with his star attitude. Abby, even though she has a big crush on Lucas, tells Lucas off for his bad attitude. Their exchanges are great and hilarious! Since Abby doesn't put up with Lucas' bad attitudes, Lucas wants Abby to help him be his inspiration for the new songs that he has to come up with so Lucas comes up with a proposition that Abby thinks is crazy at first but then agrees to it.

As Abby and Lucas spends time together, they open to each other about their past and what they really want for their future. Abby tells Lucas that she really wants to be a writer, not a lawyer and Lucas encourages her to pursue her real passion. Even though Abby and Lucas develops feelings for each other, Abby continues to honor her part of the proposition even though she hopes that it will end way. Will Lucas be able to see Abby for more than what he wanted in his original proposition to her? Lucas and Abby needs to figure out what they truly want in life and will they take the risks to pursue their dreams.

This is such a great story and I'm glad I read it! As I said before, I am enjoying all the stories so far in the Misadventures series!

I think it’s every girl’s dream to meet a rockstar and fall madly in love. At least it was one of mine. Lol! I think Lucas was the perfect rockstar. Edgy. Vulnerable. Abby had a say it like she sees it kind of vibe which appealed to Lucas. They had explosive chemistry which lead to some really erotic scenes. Not for the faint of heart. I’m still fanning myself. This was a good story with great characters.
